Exercise: ✅ 4 mile walk with hubby, and then 75 min of gardening aka: carrying buckets of dirt from a raised bed we’re getting rid of up stairs to our top deck where we added a bunch of planters to our deck garden.

Woke up feeling great this morning, which helped me realize I wasn’t just being whiny or imagining side effects of the vaccine yesterday. Luckily they didn’t last long and I got to both enjoy a walk with the hubs this morning and get the deck garden ready for planting. Soon!
This is my plan for the veggie side. The opposite side of the deck is mostly perennial herbs (lemon thyme, lavender, mint, etc) with a few extra pots for flowers to make it pretty pretty. (Sorry in advance for my slight gardening obsession. Dirt is good for the soul.)

Tonight, I’ve arrived home after 4 full days of driving with a horse and dog along with me. I’ve learned that when you have to keep both hands on the steering wheel for many hours, it’s hard to overeat. At least that was true for me.
I walked before getting the horse loaded in the trailer; ate poorly but sparsely; and was tired at the end of each day.
Tracking was easy 3 out of 4 days.

Yes, yes, yes, a good day.
My exercise was just some yardwork, wood chopping, and moving things around the garage, but it was exercise. Still feeling pretty tired, but forcing myself to do things has to help. Tomorrow I plan to try and return to the gym...

I’ve been having some Crohn’s symptoms, so I’m restricting what I eat to see if it helps. Removed nuts/oatmeal/whole grains & high fiber foods, most fats, & sugar, Seems to be getting a bit better each day. 🙏🏻13 -

@mshawski - I agree - dirt IS good for the soil. I love the bright colors of all your pots! We worked on prep work for the garden yesterday - hope to start planting this weekend.
@RangerRickL - glad everyone safely made it home. I'm sure that was a stressful few days. Now you get to relax and Coco can roll in the grass.
@Crosbinium - good for you - not only are you decluttering - but you're creating space for working out! A double win.

Typing on May 3rd.
For a second travel day, I did well on May 2nd. All food counted and tracked, and I normally would not allow myself to count the partial loading of my SUV at the hotel and full unloading once home as exercise, but I am giving myself that this one time. It solidly exceeded the 20 minute requirement. So yes, yes, yes for May 2nd.5 -

Spent my birthday (today) just a quiet day at home with hubby. I planted some more of my flowers (bulbs) including cannas since I "think" that the cold night frosts might be over. Hubby had a surprise dinner party Friday night and another birthday (surprise) BBQ for me Sat night with my children, grandchildren, and the great grandbabies! ❤️ (I shared a couple of pics of the babies on the May 1 thread!) I am VERY blessed and just have to say that GOD has been very very good to me over the years! ❤️
Happy Birthday... It's great to have family!1 -

Thank you Rick. Aka @RangerRickL
I really appreciate your note. It was pretty bad, I’m afraid.
A few years ago, I figured out a meal plan that was nutritious. As part of that, I added lots of fiber.
Turns out too much for me.
I’ve been having trouble figuring out how to eat healthily without all the fiber.
So, my symptoms are vastly improved, my weight is down some, and I’m eating sourdough toast, roast beef, white rice, some milk, & decaf tea. Once the symptoms are gone, I’ll add in more fruits & veg - I’m going to look up which of them have the least fiber! So weird.
Thanks again!

@thabit11 Huge kudos to you for beginning the C2K program! I actually repeated a week somewhere about week4 or week5 when I did it. I just felt like I was struggling so much with that particular week and was afraid to move to the next level. I was glad that I did it that way, because repeating that week just once I could tell a HUGE difference and felt so much better progressing to the next level after that.
@mshawski I love your garden "plan"! I also believe that dirt is good for the soul!!
@Crosbinium Awesome job reorganizing and decluttering in order to set up a workout space! I hope you'll share a pic of your space once you are finished! I'd love to see it!
@MadisonMolly2017 Sorry to hear about your Crohn's flaring up. I hope you feel better SOON!!
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and messages!! I appreciate you all!3 -
@mshawski and @Mrs_Hoffer you guys made me more excited about the program, I'll follow it properly and repeat any week if it turned difficult.
I did rush things once before, thinking I was good enough to start from third week , different program, but that actually made me stop since it was harder than I thought. No doing it again for sure.2 -
@MadisonMolly2017 I really need fiber. I'm sad that it makes you sick.
