Not really a quote but more of my mantra for life - be comfortably uncomfortable.
Tuesday, June 8
Tracking: Yes
Calories: under
Exercise: Yes, hike - 55 min.
I was so proud of myself on my hike. I sprinted up a really steep part then cut over and came down a really rocky, root filled, treacherous trail. As I activated my core and glutes with each step down, I thought “good on you - way to go.” Then I heard the pounding. I grabbed ahold of a tree as a 25 or so year old boy came SPRINTING DOWN that rocky, root filled, treacherous trail. He was like a gazelle leaping and flying through the air. I had very unkind thoughts toward him until I remembered that I was more than twice his age. Then I had to admit that there was no way on earth I could have done that even when I was his age. I was then quite content that I could feel my core and glutes at all and asked the universe for forgiveness for my unkind thoughts toward gazelle/boy.

I did well all day - I even pre-logged my dinner and switched out a couple things at the last minute to stay under..... but the ice cream late tonight was waaaay too much! But at least I finished it off, so it wont be here to tempt me the rest of the week! 😥6 -

I guess i really suck at being accountable.
@tryingtoloveme97
I doubt it. I think it takes time to master each of these. Choose one - get it under control. Then choose another - ditto. Then tackle the third.
Baby steps & self-kindness works. Really.
I did tracking first. Then about a year later began whittling my calories. And about 3-4 months after that I got walking.
It took me 2years 8 months to lose 75 lbs (I felt like a loser cause everyone was dropping wt like crazy.) And I’ve kept it off 2 years 9 months by using baby steps, forming new mini habits, and being patient & understanding with myself.
We are here for you.

Exercise? Somehow I eked out 30 minutes of leisurely walking.
Calories? Under budget.
Log everything? Yeppers!
Motivational quotes? Offhand nothing stands out. Non-motivational? This is one of my favorites, from a fortune cookie I got years ago.
