I have noticed that a number of our UAC members often share inspiring quotes.
What your favorite motivational quote?0 -

The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in our power.

Morning training session with friends. I suspect my shoulders are going to object tomorrow, plus evening Jiu Jitsu class and work covered my exercise for today.
Food was good as I stuck to the plan although I was way under budget as I chose not to have the yogurt and berries snack I planned for after evening training.
Hmm, I don’t think I have a favourite quote. Or at least not one I can think of now.9 -
Exercise yes, a long bike ride, but not strenuous, mostly along a canal. We saw a family of geese and another of swans.
Tracking, yes. We're away in the motorhome, all today's meals were pre planned.

- What you get by reaching your destination is not nearly as important as what you will become by reaching your destination.
I'll spoiler these two since they are specific to marathons. I don't want to clutter the thread with a topic many may not be interested in or find helpful, and certainly don't want anyone mistaking these as my encouraging people to go run marathons (unless you already want to). I find a deep resonance in them and will share them since it's the question of the day.The marathon's about being in contention over the last 10k. That's when it's about what you have in your core. You have run all the strength, all the superficial fitness out of yourself, and it really comes down to what's left inside you. To be able to draw deep and pull something out of yourself is one of the most tremendous things about the marathon.
At mile 20 I thought I was dead.
At mile 22 I wished I was dead.
At mile 24 I knew I was dead.
At mile 26.2 I realized I had become too tough to kill.8 -
“Life is tough, my Darling, and so are You.”
And when things are going great, I came up with this version…
“Life is Amazing, my Darling, and so are You!11 -

One of my favorite motivational quotes:
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right” — Henry Ford
“You can either have results or excuses not both” — seen at the gym
Exercise: Yes! 15 min Chloe Ting shred, 23 min Zumba
Track: Yes!
Under calorie goal: no... not sure what happened... tired, mindless eating... I find I really need to get my head in the zone and focus to keep on track... and sometimes that takes more energy and self-control than I can muster.
Thankfully tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start and I’m only down one pass so far.

This is a pass for me. This might be a bad month. My AC still hasn't shipped yet 😓 and it's 90 here. I just can't. Calories✅. Tracked✅. Exercise❌. It's supposed to rain the rest of the week and bring the temperature down, so fingers crossed.
Favorite quotes: Don't dream it, do it. (I can daydream about the future forever, so this is a good one for me). If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.10 -
Yes x 3.
Favorite motivational quote? Can't narrow it down, but this one really hit home to me:
"It's all fun and games until your jeans don't fit..."10 -

Exercise: 45 min strength class. It was killer. I really need to do more stretching and yoga. My hamstrings hate me. Hate. Detest. The poor things. Now… how do I make myself like yoga? Lol. Calm and slow isn’t really my scene. 🤔
