    Wednesday, June 16th.

    Tracked: Yes.
    Calories: Under.
Exercise: I went on a 56 minute walk with my dog, 1.92 miles!
    Steps: 7947 / 6000

I keep adding distance to my walks. My end of month goal is 3 miles. I am definitely coming along. I was gonna try to hit 2 miles, but Dais (dog) was tired. I'm just trying to figure out if I should drop my dog off after so long. (Since my goal mileage is 3 miles) She's getting old and I don't want her hurting. I know she will have a temper tantrum if I leave her, though :D She's such a mama's girl.<3

    Week 3 Day 6
    Friday 19th June

    Tracked - Yes
Under cals - No, but deliberately not.
    Exercise - Yes

Experimenting on myself today. I’ve been lacking energy and too sore for the exercise I’ve done, which isn’t normal for me…and Its not like I’m doing HIIT cardio or step aerobics. Biking is low impact, and I haven’t been climbing mountains, LOL.

Looked back at the past week and my net calories have been between 800-1000, which is too low, even if my calories expended with exercise are a bit inflated…they aren’t that inflated. So I ate at maintenance to help with the deficit, (no worries, I still have enough on the table for planned 1lb weekly loss) and I hope this resolves the problem with soreness.

Going forward, I have a new plan. I will set my goal to sedentary TDEE on the days I exercise, and leave 500-1000 (but no more than 1000) calories in the green. Bought some protein shake powder to help with this.

So that’s me, guinea pig #5, reporting in for duty.

I worked til 5, parade at 7. So I didn't get my complete walk in (too many people and vehicles around). I also wanted to get her home before the fireworks started (she's terrified of them). My small town has a weekend of festivities every year which is why there's a parade and whatnot.

@NRTyreman My goal is 3 miles by the end of the month. I haven't set any other goals quite yet.

So, feeling better but still took it easy today. Legs just felt used, not abused, after my ride. Lesson learned….and that net calories tab is really helpful. I will check it more often.

I suspect I have actually lost more but I had a rather salty dinner, between that and other factors I expected some water weight today. Been super active this week, fingers crossed I can carry it on next week and see where the results get me next week!

After the little username challenge, I decided to add some similar exercise to my day and kept it up every day so far. Mostly focusing on my core and butt because they are about the same size :anguished::lol:. I have a slight anterior pelvic tilt, which comes from sitting crossed leg on the sofa working for 8 hours a day. Glad to say ! think all the small exercises has already corrected it, I know it sounds daft but I always thought these things took longer to see progress!

I think using TDEE worked before I added frequent exercise back, but it doesn’t work now. MFP default goals re-installed, LOL. I am like one of those people who puts together a bookcase without reading the instructions and then wonders why they have 15 screws left over. Anyway, moving on….

    Calories: Under.
Exercise: I went on a walk with Dais; 43 minutes—1.55 miles.
    Steps: 10657 / 6000

My walk would have been longer but it started sprinkling (I thought it was going to rain), so I had my grandpa pick me up. Of course, we got home and it stopped completely. So when I let Daisy out before bed we just walked down the road and back to get some extra steps in. I never get 10k steps and I finally did!

    Non-Scale Victories:
─ I can go on walks after working all day at the gas station.
─ I need to buy new work pants.
─ I have more energy (I do still need my daily naps, lol)
    ─ I hit 10,000 steps.
─ I don't crave sugary, baked goods as much (except edible cookie dough every once in a while)
─ I have so much less foot, knee, and back pain after working at the gas station.

My sister showed me how to increase the speed because I can't listen at the normal and it opened my eyes to a new world

Bit embarrassing, but I only read ludicrous romances that have to involve at least one form of fantasy creature. I am working through all of Sarah J Mass's books currently, sat listening to the latest one in ACOTAR series. To be fair to her, at least these book are better than others I have read, the lead female protagonist in her books so far haven't set me off on a feminist rant (yet). I wish more romance/YA authors would take note!

@alpdexplorer those are some amazing victories, especially the new pants! Congrats

I’m back from our girl’s trip to St. Augustine. Had a good time, despite all the rain dampening our plans. We were able to slip in a few tours when it wasn’t raining, such as the Flagler college tour, the Old Town Trolley, Ripley’s Ghost Investigation, and we even got to sit with a palm/tarot card reader. Feeling exhausted today and mostly I feel overstuffed and gluttonous. I’m totally ready to recommit and get back on that wagon!

@Krysless2 Sounds like you had an amazing weekend! I really want to travel back to the states again I still can't get over the terrain you guys have, I don't think I will ever forget Yosemite and I am desperate to one day visit yellow stone. Could I be terribly nosey and ask why you went on a college tour?

Also I don't know if any of you guys have been to the UK/Europe but do you guys realise how far everything is for you? I couldn't actually grasp the distance between things when I was over there. My house is literally 3000 steps from a supermarket, my son's nursery and our town centre. Kudos to you guys getting in your steps because without my errands around town I don't know how I would get myself out of the house sometimes.

Sorry for the ramble, just always been fascinated with the US!

Exercise was “lugging heavy stuff around” which unsurprisingly is not in the exercise database, so I called it gardening.

@NRTyreman, I’m always interested in what you have to say, and pick up some pointers from you, whether you know it or not. Like “accidental trekking to the nursery multiple times = you can do more than you realize” Or, “I think I’ll just add alphabet exercises = use the opportunity you’re given”Just like with @alpdexplorer. Both of your stick-to-it-iveness regardless of circumstances attitude has got me out the door more than one time :) Were you in California? I remember your Venice Beach comment.

@alpdexplorer, your NSV’s were awesome. Mine is more along the lines of slowly learning how to eat properly. But that’s a life skill I’m really happy to have.

Thanks Naomi, makes me feel better about my oversharing  I'm actually in Oxford, England. I went on holiday to California and Las Vegas about 2/3 years ago. Just a big fan of all the mountains and very jealous about the horse saddles hahaha.

    Calories: Under.
    Exercise: 2 walks: 47 minutes-1.33 miles / 23 minutes-0.80 miles.
    Steps: 7865 / 6000

I went on 2 walks. One with Dais and a good friend, and another with just me and Dais. Combined mileage: 2.13. I'm getting closer to my goal (: Oh, and last night I made a mistake... I have never taken pre-workout before so I decided to try it. Well, I didn't start my walk until nearly 730. I didn't read the directions until I got home. I guess you're supposed to start out with half a serving to see how you tolerate it AND not to take it 3 hours before bed (I go to sleep around 930ish normally). I had SO much energy. I didn't get much sleep so I feel like a zombie today LOL. It was a good day, though!

Yesterday I really brought the energy despite a terrible night sleep, probably because I was listening to a very girl power book :sunglasses: and despite the book being a fantasy about fairies  I put the breathing techniques in it to some good use! Alas the book is finished and this mornings workout was mentally gruelling to get through, I was going through the motions but didn't feel the same motivation to get the most out of it. I guess you can't win them all.

Anyone else worrying if they will loose motivation? I haven't yet and I can't believe how long I have kept this up but I do wonder if I will fall off the wagon and if I will be able to get back on when I do....

I hope even when I get to a desired weight I still keep tracking everything because honestly, it is terrify finding out just how much calories where in some of my fav snacks.

Yes. I’m within 5 lbs now of my goal weight (going by median number) and it does get harder and slower, which makes being motivated harder. I don’t have the massive losses and scale motivations I had when I first started. But I still have the skills and tools I picked up. Like, how to make a filling and tasty meal that is also low in calories, and just how high in calories things like peanut butter are. So even if/when I lose motivation, or reach my goal weight, I won’t be innocently slathering peanut butter or glopping olive oil or high calorie salad dressing and thinking I’m being “healthy”again. And also, just how helpful exercise is, which I didn’t understand before. Had extra dessert with dinner? No problem, also enjoy an after-dinner stroll…and prepare my low calorie breakfast. (I’d love to share that recipe with you, it’s been a game changer for me). And long run, these are the small changes that I will make permanent, while dieting isn’t ever permanent.

Yes, I bought a scale. I will be using it to monitor myself when this challenge and this diet is over. And I will keep logging. As you may have noticed (LOL) I am still learning how to get stuff right. I still need the help
