I don't know about the rest of the group, but I can't believe it is already August!
Do you have a plan or goal for summer that still needs to be checked off the list? There is still time.
If it is related to weight-loss, tracking, or accountability, how can the UAC group help? If it is something fun, let us know, so that we can live vicariously through your adventures!

I agree. Time can fly by real fast, so we have got to make the best of each moment.

One of my plans for the summer has been to do some activities I didn't feel as comfortable doing when I was larger (either because there was an actual weight restriction or a self-imposed restriction).
Highlights I've done already this summer:
1) rafted down the Bow river
2) rented a canoe in Banff
3) Legacy trail bike ride from Canmore to Banff
Things yet to come:
1) hot air balloon ride (was supposed to go earlier this week but got cancelled due to conditions)
2) horse back riding
3) .... and more!! love dreaming and scheming fun things to do12 -

Under cal - yes. Doing intermittent fasting for a few days..it actually makes being able to eat ENOUGH cals (1200) hard much less my target8 -

I have been able to do some kayaking this summer would love to go again also going to do some trail riding but need to get mountain bike to the shop perhaps this week. I also want to finish a book, Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke interesting magician read.9 -

It was my birthday so I gave myself a pass day to enjoy time with my family, pizza, wine, cake, beer, chocolate...you name it! I am absolutely ok with this planned indulgence because I still tracked everything, and had great deficits the rest of the week. Getting back on track today, though we are going out for dinner tonight so I will leave myself some calories for that!9 -

My biggest goal/hope was a 330 mile bike ride in September. However, for a number of reasons I had to cancel which bums me out, but….I’ve found a different ride in October that I’ll probably sign up for. Will keep yo7 posted!
Oh, and I’m running/walking a half marathon at Mount Rushmore in September.

Today was my day to work from home, but when I got up and tried to log on, I found that our internet was down. I tried unplugging/restarting the modem, but couldn't get it to come back on. Grrrr. So I had to shower, dress and go into the office after all! Ugh. Then, this was my evening to do massages in the chiropractor's office, so I went straight to the office and didn't get home until almost 8pm. Just not enough hours in my day!
I'm in a step challenge this weekend and have committed to 50k steps between Sat and Sun. I'm getting up at 6am to walk 8 miles in the morning before the temp gets up to 93(F) here. NO ice cream walk this weekend though.

The only thing on my bucket list for this summer is that I'm planning to buy a new car in September! I can't wait! I want a Prius! 🚗 Hubby and I are also planning on going to Arkansas around Labor Day to visit the grands.... but they're very understanding about my eating differently than everybody else.8 -

My summer is ending with a road trip across the US/CA border. I'm willing it to be so and just reserved a rental car for the last two weeks of September. How can UACers help with this? Umm,the Americans can talk with Biden, while the Canadian UACers can email our Prime Minister 🤷🏾♀️

We had a big birthday lunch at work yesterday and I caved, ate a selection of cakes & a few chips/dip. Friday is my weigh in day & so yes, I used that as my excuse 😣 Not going to beat myself up about it & will get back on track on today. I did my exercise earlier in the morning so 1/3 & going to take that as a small positive. Moving on ..... And I didn’t drink that bottle of wine that I normally have on a Friday night either ... so another positive I’m going to take out of today.
It’s early in the month to be using my 2nd day pass which I am disappointed with ☹️ but I’m not giving up 💪🏼9 -

What an impressive group on here! Not exactly what I thought I was signing up for, but hey, I will take the inspiration.
Exercise: Yes. I went to the gym quick and got in my 20ish minute weight circuit, but I don't count that as my exercise for this challenge. I couldn't get out tonight until 9 and it was pitch dark so I definitely couldn't run, but I was determined not to skip out. I walked 2 miles as fast as I could--about 27 minutes.

Under: Yes. Way under so I got the red warning today...not intentional.

Hmmm, what did I do this summer and what do I still want to do?
I’ve hiked lots of trails in the Smokies and Cumberlands and seen lots of beautiful waterfalls, and deer and bears etc. I’ve learned to kayak this summer and bought my own kayak, have seen impressive falls kayaking. Have spent many hours sitting at the lake reading. Floated down the river today with friends. I never made it to the beach this year, first summer I can remember ever missing a trip to the beach.

Yes yes and yes. Weights sess, 1.5 hr walk and under.
I hve only managed to go on 1 jog this week cos i felt groin pain so didnt want to push it, i can't afford an injury. So will either try for another 1 this week and if not ill aim for 2 jogs next week. Xo5 -
