    @biketheworld 330 mile bike ride is some goal! Was it broken down into easier stages? I rarely do more than 10 miles at a time, could probably do 30 miles in one day? (sore bum after a couple of hours)


    @jamcnewman – glad to hear you are safe. These fires are very worrying and they are cropping up all over the World – Greece is on fire just now as well.

    @LazyBlondeChef go carefully with those pains.

    As a retiree myself I agree with your sentiment: “ make sure the majority of my time is spent doing things that I enjoy and doing my best to avoid the things I don't enjoy.”

    @TerriRichardson112 I don’t remember that Cliff Richards track at all (mind you, I was never a big Cliff fan, I was an Elvis fan myself)

    It wasn’t one of his well-known ones. And I was quite fond of Elvis myself.

    Been thinking about the question “Do you have a plan or goal for summer that still needs to be checked off the list?”
    I think my next goal must be to get back into the gym/pool. I need to restart the resistance/weight training. Our sports centre closed in April 2020 and although it has re-opened, I haven’t felt ready to go back. Staying home has become the norm and I’m reluctant to go out much. There are friends I haven’t seen since last March – nearly 18 months.

    Some of the responses I've seen here make me realise I'm becoming a hermit!

    @thabit11 I am sure, you will enjoy running. I did run when I was over 80, but now with minus 26kg it is much easier 😊. I also noticed that strength training improved my runs 💪 Start slowly, mixing a bit of running and walking. Have fun 😊
