It has been a day. So worried about friends that are now en route to evacuation centres due to the many, many fires blazing here in Western Canada.
We are safe. It is only issues associated with significant smoke and air quality that are bothersome here. Exercising indoors for now.
Exercise β Just did an extra 25 minutes quick pace on my trusty treadmill
Calories β Under
Tracking β Done!
Thank you so much @MaltedTea for the link to coding tips!
Take care everyone10 -
8/6/2021 (Am I in the right folder? I believe I am... *fingers crossed*)
Did I exercise at least 20 minutes? No, I did not. (Sadly tossing and turning during the night doesn't count as exercise, even if I did wrap myself up in the covers so that I resembled a burrito this morning).
Did I track everything? Yes, I did.
Was I within calorie goals? Ha! Not even close. I'd already blown it by lunch time and came home to find that my daughter's friend had made dinner for us. Since my daughter's memory is shot, she couldn't remember what I'm not supposed to have, but she could remember things I like. So that's what got made and that's what I tracked, but ah well....
Got my lab results back today. Cholesterol still good. And A1C??? Needs to be less than 5.6 for normal. What was mine? 5.4!!!!! Oh my gods, I was blown away by that result! And completely surprised beccuse I've not been doing what I should. I've been in the "pre-diabetic" range for so long, plus that foray into full-blown diabetes, that I didn't think I could get down to "normal." WOOT!
And, now, although it's early for me, I'm heading to bed. I keep drifting off. I'll come back tomorrow and read everything. I want to ride in the morning before I have to take my daughter's car to the shop to have the locks reprogrammed and to get a new fob. And then there's a reunion meeting since last week's was cancelled. Wishing y'all a good night! Or good day, as the case may be!11 -
Happy Birthday to you @TwistedSassette πππ Sounds like a wonderful day and glad you enjoyed it all!1

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes, though I was under by only 14 calories!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes- Treadmill: 36 min / 1.99 mi
- Pool (light exercise)
Apple rings closed: 6/31
Yesterday was supposed to be my upper body weight work out but I had pain in multiple places so decided to do it today instead but I still had some pain though it improved. Unfortunately I had some weird pain in the back left leg so even had to slow the treadmill down speed part way through. Very frustrating though I'm pretty sure I know what caused it. It was the way I was sitting in a chair while reading yesterday. So I need to remedy that in the future. I think I should be able to do the weights tomorrow.
I don't have any particular goals at the moment outside of continuing with improving my strength and losing the rest of my excess weight. Being in retirement my primary goal is to make sure the majority of my time is spent doing things that I enjoy and doing my best to avoid the things I don't enjoy.6 -
Way to track it all today @seilidhe π₯° I feel for you and your lost night of sleep. The worst. Glad you are headed for a catch up. I am SO pleased for you and your successful bloodwork results. That must feel great! Congratulations!4
