Enjoy your birthday weekend @TwistedSassette!
My summer is ending with a road trip across the US/CA border. I'm willing it to be so and just reserved a rental car for the last two weeks of September. How can UACers help with this? Umm,the Americans can talk with Biden, while the Canadian UACers can email our Prime Minister π€·πΎββοΈ

Day 6
2/3 pass days used
We had a big birthday lunch at work yesterday and I caved, ate a selection of cakes & a few chips/dip. Friday is my weigh in day & so yes, I used that as my excuse π£ Not going to beat myself up about it & will get back on track on today. I did my exercise earlier in the morning so 1/3 & going to take that as a small positive. Moving on ..... And I didnβt drink that bottle of wine that I normally have on a Friday night either ... so another positive Iβm going to take out of today.
Itβs early in the month to be using my 2nd day pass which I am disappointed with βΉοΈ but Iβm not giving up πͺπΌ9 -

What an impressive group on here! Not exactly what I thought I was signing up for, but hey, I will take the inspiration.
Exercise: Yes. I went to the gym quick and got in my 20ish minute weight circuit, but I don't count that as my exercise for this challenge. I couldn't get out tonight until 9 and it was pitch dark so I definitely couldn't run, but I was determined not to skip out. I walked 2 miles as fast as I could--about 27 minutes.
Tracking: Yes
Under: Yes. Way under so I got the red warning today...not intentional.

@TwistedSassette Happy birthday! I hope itβs been a great day!
Hmmm, what did I do this summer and what do I still want to do?
Iβve hiked lots of trails in the Smokies and Cumberlands and seen lots of beautiful waterfalls, and deer and bears etc. Iβve learned to kayak this summer and bought my own kayak, have seen impressive falls kayaking. Have spent many hours sitting at the lake reading. Floated down the river today with friends. I never made it to the beach this year, first summer I can remember ever missing a trip to the beach.

This is the time of year where I go into denial and don't think about the end of summer. Let's just say I have unlimited time to fit everything in.

It has been a day. So worried about friends that are now en route to evacuation centres due to the many, many fires blazing here in Western Canada.
We are safe. It is only issues associated with significant smoke and air quality that are bothersome here. Exercising indoors for now.
Exercise β Just did an extra 25 minutes quick pace on my trusty treadmill

Thank you so much @MaltedTea for the link to coding tips!

8/6/2021 (Am I in the right folder? I believe I am... *fingers crossed*)
Did I exercise at least 20 minutes? No, I did not. (Sadly tossing and turning during the night doesn't count as exercise, even if I did wrap myself up in the covers so that I resembled a burrito this morning).
Did I track everything? Yes, I did.
Was I within calorie goals? Ha! Not even close. I'd already blown it by lunch time and came home to find that my daughter's friend had made dinner for us. Since my daughter's memory is shot, she couldn't remember what I'm not supposed to have, but she could remember things I like. So that's what got made and that's what I tracked, but ah well....
Got my lab results back today. Cholesterol still good. And A1C??? Needs to be less than 5.6 for normal. What was mine? 5.4!!!!! Oh my gods, I was blown away by that result! And completely surprised beccuse I've not been doing what I should. I've been in the "pre-diabetic" range for so long, plus that foray into full-blown diabetes, that I didn't think I could get down to "normal." WOOT!
And, now, although it's early for me, I'm heading to bed. I keep drifting off. I'll come back tomorrow and read everything. I want to ride in the morning before I have to take my daughter's car to the shop to have the locks reprogrammed and to get a new fob. And then there's a reunion meeting since last week's was cancelled. Wishing y'all a good night! Or good day, as the case may be!11 -
Happy Birthday to you @TwistedSassette πππ Sounds like a wonderful day and glad you enjoyed it all!1

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes, though I was under by only 14 calories!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes- Treadmill: 36 min / 1.99 mi
- Pool (light exercise)

Yesterday was supposed to be my upper body weight work out but I had pain in multiple places so decided to do it today instead but I still had some pain though it improved. Unfortunately I had some weird pain in the back left leg so even had to slow the treadmill down speed part way through. Very frustrating though I'm pretty sure I know what caused it. It was the way I was sitting in a chair while reading yesterday. So I need to remedy that in the future. I think I should be able to do the weights tomorrow.
I don't have any particular goals at the moment outside of continuing with improving my strength and losing the rest of my excess weight. Being in retirement my primary goal is to make sure the majority of my time is spent doing things that I enjoy and doing my best to avoid the things I don't enjoy.6 -
Way to track it all today @seilidhe π₯° I feel for you and your lost night of sleep. The worst. Glad you are headed for a catch up. I am SO pleased for you and your successful bloodwork results. That must feel great! Congratulations!4
