In my working days I often would make a nicer more time consuming dinner on Sundays since I had more time. It set the tone for the week creating leftovers for Monday lunches and often a couple of freezer portions for those nights when we didn't have leftovers. These days I can do it any night I want but I still gravitate towards Sunday.
Do you do anything special for Sunday night dinner?

We don't have a specific Sunday routine.. from May to Sept we spend our weekends at an RV park about 1.25 hours north of our home.. so Sunday nights are often spent commuting back and transitioning back into routine.
We have never really been meal prep on Sunday people either as my husband doesn't like leftovers.
He does all the cooking and we are big NFL people so during the winter the focus may be more on the daytime food than anything else.3 -

I often cook a more special meal on Sunday – my boyfriend doesn’t live with me but he is usually here on Sunday. I also invite my mum round sometimes.

I sometimes "dread" Sunday evenings because of meal planning BUT soon after cooking, I feel good knowing that I've set myself up nicely for the first half of the week.7 -
Pass day today. I was going to go for a run but just feeling far too fatigued to do anything exercise wise. 3/3 but I think there's a really good chance I'll still make it. Week days are easier as I'm normally very active keeping on top of life and it's easier to keep away from treats when I'm busy doing the school run etc.
Today we had a roast dinner - we would only normally have one on Sunday so I think that counts as special. Not every week though.8 -
✅ - Exercise 20+ Minutes

We still do a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings because that's what DH likes. He does the meat and I do the vegetables (we don't have potatoes). Tonight we had roast beef and Yorkshire puddings with gravy and five different vegetables. I didn't eat all my vegetables but they were going to sit for lunch tomorrow. We put the meat on a timer, as we visit our elder daughter and her family on Sunday afternoon, then the meat is ready when we get home.8 -

I went up 100 calories a day this past week and ended up losing .8 lb. Since I don't eat back any exercise calories, and I burned around 3500 in intentional cardio/weights/HIIT this week, I am fearful how low my maintenance calories are going to need to be--and when I let up on the exercise intensity, oh boy. Trying to decide if I dare add another 100 per day?6 -

Sunday is the day I prep lunches and snacks for the work week. Not specifically a big dinner but sometimes I will bake salmon as part of the week prep.

Sundays were always special when my children were young. Our time to all get caught up after church and enjoy some time together. Now they are all grown so Sundays are much quieter. Tonight my husband made pulled pork sandwiches and mashed potatoes which worked out good because my son away at college stopped in and the other son came by for a meal too. The two at home were glad for one of their favorites. I made grilled a few chicken tenders and sautéed some spinach for myself. Today was a good day.11 -
I've had various traditions over the years. My favourite was Sunday Soup, created after a favourite book of my daughter's by the same name. I'd make it on Saturday so we could have our own Sunday Soup after Church for lunch.
Yes x 3 for me today.8 -

✅✅✅ Exercise today was my 11 mile #icecreamwalk .
Also, last night, after I closed my diary and reported for the day, I had another homemade peanut butter oatmeal bar (or two!)..... so it put me OVER on calories for the day. So I'm officially out of the Winner's Circle.
My hubby does the cooking around our house because he's retired and I'm still working (two jobs!). He loves to cook - and is a very good cook too! (better than me!) Lol. But I'd have to say that our Sunday dinner isn't necessarily any different than any other night's dinner.5 -

I was doing the more involved Sunday dinner (including always a dessert) up until a couple years ago to make the day more special for my boys. But I was eating far too much and my family will eat most anything that's cooked up and on the stove. We always have a nice Sunday dinner (never any carry-out) just not as fancy or big.6 -

Nothing special for Sunday dinner. Tonight was leftovers because we were both uninterested in cooking. Other times we get on a tear and cook like Julia Child! Most times I prep the meal and DH grills whatever will fit on the flattop.

Hello! I usually keep the meals pretty simple on Sundays, nothing special. But if I do feel like cooking something more elaborate, I'll look up a recipe of something I haven't tried before and make it. Some weeks ago I made Moroccan Chicken Tagine and it turned out pretty good. 😁

Re +100 cals…
Maybe just decide if you’d rather be sure not to gain weight OR if you won’t mind having to lose some of you’ve overshot your calories. I did fine over time I could eat more. We need to be patient & look at monthly & yearly averages. Just takes awhile maintaining until we have the data to do so!!

Taking a pass day. We went out for brunch and then had a wonderful dinner. Yesterday I did a pork belly rub/slow cook to make street tacos. It took so long we had an abbreviated late dinner last night. Today I prepared as it was intended. Quite good but pork belly and tortillas are rather caloric. I should be fine for the rest of the month since weekdays are rarely a problem.5 -
@LazyBlondeChef
It's been a family tradition to have homemade popcorn and sliced fruit for Sunday evening (that is dinner ).6 -
A very busy beginning to move items from our home to storage and to other people.
A 3 yes day.6 -
Every Sunday, we have chimichanga hot dish in a crockpot. It's ready when we get home from church, so that we only need to microwave some corn and add a bag of corn chips. It's my easiest day of cooking because the kids have taken turns for years making it! We garnish with sour cream and salsas/ hot sauces. Sometimes, we add a salad. The family, cousins , and friends love it. Since we started using crockpot liners, cleanup is a cinch 😂!

1. Tracked it all ✅
2. Kept within calorie limit? ✅ used 47 calories of today’s exercise surplus
3. Moved for 20 minutes or more? ✅ Dog training class this morning with some agility training and we really moved a lot with some light jogging on the grassy training space. Did my barbell routine, deep stretching, isometric exercises, and then a 40 minutes walk tonight with my husband (who manhandled Beau).
Today’s learning — I really can’t tolerate sugar. Our niece and one of her four children are getting more prepared for their journey to Taiwan where she is starting up an arts program at one of the American schools. Danielle’s absolute favourite thing I make is sticky toffee pudding, which we have every year at Boxing Day dinner. It was her special request and we had “Christmas in September” to celebrate their (hopefully) upcoming departure.
We had a Montreal bagel bar brunch which was totally manageable for my macros and the smoked salmon with capers was delicious. Then I had a dessert and it was delicious at the time — until the sugar crash hit. Drank lots of water and went for a deep one hour sleep when we got home. Blech.
I never crave sweets (my weakness is salty, crunchy), but I had dessert to be sociable. No more. Learned a lesson.6
