(I go "nuts" with nuts most times, trying to continue a good habit this month. Counting the number of "nuts" free days.) I am still learning a lot about myself in this area!

@WhatMeRunning - your running advice is superb. I am guilty of so much! I’m willing to spend the money on good shoes, but not on a heart rate monitor so bought a garmin that measures distance, etc but not HR. I realize I should have just spent the money and done it right, but…… I did switch to a run/walk pattern a couple years ago and I feel so much better at the end and my recovery time is shorter.
I spent the afternoon with two granddaughters. I took them shopping for a new school outfit and then we went to a playground. I kept wanting to buy them ice cream or donuts, but managed to resist the temptation. We had a wonderful afternoon without eating a bunch of junk!5 -

Re fried oreos: in Britain the English make fun of the Scots for eating deep-fried Mars bars and deep-fried pizza. The Scottish diet is not exactly healthy and many Scots are overweight.2
