    Good morning!

Hope you had a great weekend, @KateNkognito

Our weekend was nice. We had beautiful weather both days which was great. Last night we were relaxing on the patio and our friendly woodpecker was up in the tree pecking away! :D

The garden is almost at the end, where we just have a few small tomatoes coming in the next week or two. For next year I would do all small tomato plants (grape and cherry) and less of them. For only two people, six plants can get a bit crazy! The two larger tomato plants didn't really work out. There were very few tomatoes on them. Even though they were tasty!

Went to the gym this AM before work, which was nice. Planning to get there 1x per day for the remainder of the week.

Also will be making this dish in the slow cooker / instant pot later today:

I increased the protein to 2.5 lbs of chicken breasts and I will use a jar of Rao's Tomato Basil sauce. I also am using two red bell peppers and one orange bell pepper. Probably would have used at least one green bell pepper, but I didn't see any at the store yesterday. We will probably have it tomorrow night and I will let you know how it comes out!

Have a great day and see you soon.

For a Monday, today was an ok day. My last hour, which is always a bit crazy, was fairly good. I have been forcing myself to do things lately. This has helped with the stress and anxiety. I was temporarily completely unable to function. Had an anxiety attack at school, so I had to do something. Therapist is helping and the chiropractor gave me a new supplement to try. Weight loss has stalled, but I think it is water weight because I have been craving salt lately.

@Meghan509 Our tomatoes really underproduced this year. I think it was the wacky weather last spring. 6 plants is a lot for two people! I am imagining a lot of marinara sauce.

    Have a lovely week!

    Good morning,

Sending hugs, @KateNkognito hoping you feel better. <3

Six tomato plants is a lot for two people. LOL I guess I got a little excited about gardening.
Yes, lots of mozzarella and tomato salads!

Busy AM at work today. Planning for gym tonight after work. Cloudy day here with rain so no outside walk before lunch. Maybe will walk around the parking garage for a few steps.

Have a great day and see you soon.

Today was a good day. Kids behaved, allergies were tolerable, and I didn't have hardly any anxiety. Did ok eating wise and the scale is inching down again. Must go to bed soon. This old gal is dragging. Have a good one y'all!

    Good morning!

Had a good workout last night after work and again this AM before work. Going to be meeting with a personal trainer today where she will put us on a machine to tell us our body fat and ask us what our goals are, give us suggestions on what to do, etc. I am totally and completely not in to the "hard sell" of signing up for personal training sessions. Just want to do a one on one and then figure out my own plan. Going to start adding in weights tomorrow or next week. Depends on what she says today when we meet and what we do in the 30 minutes.

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken and Peppers came out fabulous. I served it with some brown rice.

Hope you have a great day and a good rest of the week. See you soon!

@Meghan509 I would love to meet with a personal trainer just one time to see what they have to say. I hope you get some good advice! Dinner sounds delicious, too!

Good day today and I have a sub tomorrow so I can go to "rookie training" as my students called it (aka new teacher induction). I am a bit nervous. Like leaving your kids with a babysitter for the first time and hoping they are good. :o

Have a lovely end of the week!

    Good morning!

We had our appointment with the trainer and they put us on the machine that tells you how much body fat you have, blah blah blah. LOL Then she launched in to her spiel on how we need to set up training with her so we can lose weight, get in better shape, etc. etc. Unfortunately she was very condescending and I felt belittled. I had told her that we were not ready to sign up for training at this time. I mentioned that my schedule is in the process of changing. I am going back in to the office three days a week, etc. etc. She was still pushy but backed off and said schedule something soon, before the night time slots fill up. Whatever.
Then we found out how much personal training costs! LOLOLOL $$$$, plus they want a two month commitment.
Yeah, sorry. Not going to happen. We will continue doing what we are doing, whatever that is - cardio, weights, classes, etc. etc.

So now I have to try and not get in to a "to do" when I bump in to her tonight or again at the gym. Honestly I want to tell her off but I know that is not the right way to go about it. How dare she be so belittling and condescending. :(

Hopefully if you meet with a personal trainer in the future, your experience will be a good one and you will learn valuable information on how you can improve your health and fitness, @KateNkognito sigh...

Aside from the meeting yesterday all went well eating and exercise wise. Today I am in the office and plan to go to the gym after work. Looking forward to my yummy salad that has shrimp in it.

Hope your "rookie training day" went well, Kate! LOL

Have a great day and see you soon!!

@Meghan509 I am sorry your trainer was not good. That is not the way to get new clients! Your salad sounds good, though!

Rookie day went well. I hope my kids were good! My son improved his 5k time by 2 minutes at his cross country meet today! I am exhausted, but it was a good day. :)
