Yes Susan it’s hot 🥵 here, we are under a Heat Advisory Warning from Environmental Canada!

This is for our area; we are told that temps in our area are on the rise since Monday with temps being 95 and upwards each day.

Today we have been 95 degrees and in my area it’s hotter as we are in direct sunlight from Noon to sundown. We are instructed to stay indoors keep well hydrated and watch for any signs of heat stroke. These temps are expected to last until Thursday or longer.

Today was the scorcher of them all, boiling 🥵 for sure,

Started off with 98 degrees this morning and it was sunny all day, I would be surprised if we didn’t reach 100 today as it remained hot all day.

    Hi

It’s very hot here… we here are dealing with a lot of out of control wildfires. Here is what we are living under right now.

The B.C. government has declared a province-wide state of emergency due to the growing number of aggressive wildfires threatening communities. Premier David Eby announced the declaration at a news conference Friday afternoon, following a challenging 24 hours that saw fast-spreading wildfires trigger thousands of new evacuation orders and alerts across the province.

Today the temps are much cooler at 85 degrees,

The wildfires continue to rage across our Province and while we are under a State of Emergency their is a ban on all Open Fires: hope people who are smokers are mindful about throwing cigarette buts on the ground: our ground is so dry and won’t take much to ignite a fire.

Take good care, Judith. It still dounds like a very dangerous situation.

It got down to 4C last night. We were glad of the diesel heater. We''re free camping so can't use the electric heater.

Thank you Susan, yes it’s a very dangerous situation, widespread wildfire all over our Province, thousands of families evacuated from their homes and many properties and homes business lost! We are still in a State of Emergency here!

Today, smoke filled skies due to increased particles from the wildfires which has put us under a severe weather alert as it has given us poor air quality. Temps were down but on the rise again with 85 degrees so far at 6:50am this morning!

High of 99F (37.2C) today and low of 70F (21.1C). Humidity is 15% so we need to be especially careful about drinking enough water so we do not become dehydrated.

Thank you Susan, Fire Chief said last night they are Making headway in one area which is good but it still remains that thousands of families have been evacuated and properties lost. 🙁

Today temps were cooler and air quality a little better! Sorry I did listen to any further reports!

High of 86F (30C) and low of 66F (18.8C). The rain made the humidity go up to 32% and with the overcast sky the weather has been beautiful.

Our temps have really cooled down today, yesterday there was improvements with the smoke and today we had a thick covering of smoke across the sky. Sorry didn’t check temps and didn’t look at my outdoor thermometer, too much going on. Will check it tomorrow.

Praying for the areas that are still having active wildfires and families evacuated. My heart goes out to these families. ❤️🙏

Thank you Susan, yes we had 1 day where it was improved, where we are in early morning it is better for air quality but from Mid Morning to sundown it is a 4 right thru the overnight which is a health risk on the air quality index,

A 4 to 6 reading is a Health Risk for Breathing as you breath in the Particles from the Wildfires.

Our temps today have been 80 degrees with a Smoke covering and Air Quality Index is 4 a Health Risk for Breathing due to the Particles from Wildfires that are inhaled!

Stay in cleaner air inside, Judith. I hope you have air filters on your air conditioning unit.

    24C - 11C (75.2F - 51.8F)
    Humidity 54-95%

Thank you Susan, yes my AC filters out what shouldn’t be. It’s a great AC in which I am so thankful! 😊

Today our Air Quality Index reads a 5 Moderate Health Risk for inhaling Particles from the Wildfires in BC, a reading between 4 to 6 on the Air Quality Index tells us it’s a Moderate Health Risk for those with Lung Diseases and overall is a threat and risk to your Health! Anything above a reading of 6 is a Severe Threat to your Health!

There is smoke covering our Community-Skies with Temps of 71 degrees. Thank you for those who are praying for us. I’m praying for all of you who are experiencing and have Wildfires in your Community! 🙏

Judith - does wearing a mask help at all with removing the fine particulate?

HIgh of 84 F (28.8C) and low of 64F (17.7C) with partly cloudy sky. Ragweed pollen will decrease tomorrow and help with those people with this common allergy.

We have a low pollen count today (a 2).

Judith, so glad to hear you have good air conditioner filters.

Linda, do you get affected by ragweed at all?

Partly cloudy with a high of 91F (32.7C) and low of 65F (18.3C). There were some huge thunderheads over the mountains as we drove but I don't know if they got any rain from them.

Linda, to answer your question, Not sure how the mask really works but wearing the N95 mask has helped me not to have a scratchy throat which causes me to cough. When I wear the surgical medical mask it doesn’t work the same as my N95. Thankful I have some left.

Today we had Smokey haze and the air quality index was reading a 5, think it was a 6 later in day and it was hot with temps at 85+ degrees, tomorrow it can be as hot as 90 degrees!
