    Judith, our heat wave lasted for days. Humidity was often in the 90s this past week, making the temperature feel much hotter. It didn't seem to cool down at night and it was hard to breathe. Sadly, people still left children and pets in cars and some died... It's feeling soupy here today even though the temps are lower.

    The sun is very strong here. My cousin from Oregon once came to visit and did not believe me about the strength of the sun, and sunbaked in the extreme heat. I sheltered in the shade and tried to call her in. She wouldn't listen. She was burnt so badly...

    Sorry to hear about your cousin, and so sorry the heat is so intense.please stay safe and try and fine a place where it’s cooler, do you have extra fans, maybe some cool cloths placed around your neck but thinking more back of neck and please stay well hydrated. Hope the temps continue to come down. It grieves my heart hearing about infants and pets left in overheated cars dying! 😢

    Our temps today were about the same and very damp and cold today!

    I am sorry to distress you, Judith. We're alright in the air conditioning and would never leave a child or pet in a hot car. Our car has air conditioning too and we do carry cold water with us everywhere. The temperature is much better the last couple of days but our humidity has shot up, so it still feels like dragon's breath outside.

    Susan - that is quite a word picture - dragon's breath weather. With us being in a higher altitude the sun brings quick harm from sunburns during the summer. We do have to tell visitors to be aware of this even when it seems to be shady skin can burn quickly.

    Wow - it is predicted to get up to 50F (10C) this afternoon and a low of 30F (-1.1C) Our humidity is 39% today.

    That's good that you are not distressed, Judith. Linda, I can see how being in a higher altitude would strengthen the effect of the sun too.

    It's much more comfortable today. I got the 'dragon's breath' comment from my Pastor! Lol! He said it from the pulpit last Sunday and I thought it was a great description of the hot muggy wind.

    Todays weather: dear me, another gloomy Grey cloudy day with rain showers and temps of 4 degrees Celsius, in Fahrenheit it is 40 degrees.

    My weather is sure different from yours Susan, Although we had some beautiful sunshine that came out this afternoon but temps remained the same. The forecast said possible rain showers but thankfully here we didn’t get any! Yay 😀

    It is noon and the temperature is barely above freezing. I doubt we will make it to the predicted high of 44F (6.6C) today. The low is supposed to be 23F (-5C).

    Yes, what a contrast in our temperatures and conditions, Judith and Linda.

    There is a cyclone 500kms offshore in the Pacific Ocean. It isn't a threat to us but it changes the humidity and heat, plus adds rain. We're expecting humid, hot weather by the weekend.

    Today right now it’s 4 degrees they say later in morning it should be 6 degrees with a high of 8 degrees! 90% rain showers they say. It’s just after 12:30am here so we will see what the day brings. Good Nite my friends! 😴
