You need to be careful. I have a granddaughter that will be 16 in December. Time goes by so fast. Love your positive thoughts about yourself!
Thanks Linda ... I do need to be more careful ... It was very smokey and still a bit dark ... I was trying to go around the shrubs that were in the way and my foot slipped off the sidewalk ... Glad it is just bruised and of course swollen ...it could of been a lot worse ...I think I will take a day off from walking and just do yard work today as exercise and depending how I feel tomorrow resume to walking outside.. they are saying rain Thursday and Friday (boy do we need it ..we have been in a drought for years and we have 11 fires going on here in California2 -

For transformation Tuesday...
Me around my heaviest, about 185 (I don't have many pics from then):
Me at my lowest weight, about 125, after a year of doing keto with zero cheats: (December, 2018):
Me at my current weight, about 140:
My goal weight is 132 pounds, which is a good maintenance weight for me. Weighing 125 was a super challenging weight to maintain. I want to be able to live life and not obsess about my weight, and enjoy the occasional treat!6 -

Alrighty... We have some new toys in the house today. 🥳
First toy... A ShoulderRok. Basically, this thing is a 48" loadable mace that uses Olympic plates. It basically trains you to be Thor god of Thunder. Lol. The idea is you learn to swing this thing with two hands behind your back, switching hands and rotation direction.... Or eventually you can learn to do it single handed. It basically amazing for shoulders, shoulder mobility, and rotational speed or just stretching the shoulders. And probably the best warm-up you can have for your shoulders going into Chest Day etc. Like any other exercise you start with next to zero added weight, and slowly over the months etc, you add more weight. We're talking a little at a time. Even 1.25 pounds is lots right now. The entire shaft is solid steel as it is.
Second Toy... The Medicine Ball Rebounder is finally here, the one I wanted and it's as good or better than expected. Super Stable, super quiet. It throws the 20lb Slam ball back at me so fast, If I get tired I'm liable to take a hard shot to face... So, let's hope that doesn't happen. lol
I also have a third toy sort of on route... It's just a second set of Iron Master Dumbbells. A full kit went up on Kijiji (Canadian CraigsList) today, and this is so rare (i've been looking every day since i landed the first one). And the seller of all places was selling it the same community my mom lives in. The gentlemen delivered it to my Mom's and even carried it in the house for her... I even saved a few 100 bucks over what it would of cost me if I had the oppertunity to buy it new. Which is impossible, still due to covid.
Anywhoo, this means I'll have over 350 pounds of IM Plates to disappears over 3 sets of handles... And I'll be able to sell my Screw type Handles and plates, and the extra Dumbbell stand. Yahooo Exciting times. I don't believe I'll need more IM plates or dumbbells at this point. lol
Alright that's that.
Tomorrow... Poobah Vs. Rebounder. 😬
Place your bets! 😅
Goodnight 🤗🤗🤗

@MJ_Keto
You look great! It’s good you have a goal weight that is realistic for you.
@Bluetail6
Fantastic intensity minutes. You would have been proud of me today. I did a lap around the apartment every time I completed a task. Took me longer to get my cleaning done but added some extra activity.
@Poobah1972
You could offer personal training at your home gym. It is looking awesome. I think you are going to have a hard workout tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear about it. Hope you are feeling better.

Finally got the Apple Watch that I have wanted for so long on Sunday. Left for work trip yesterday with the charger just not the right plug for the charger and watch is dead 😩 so no steps for me until Friday I guess. Oh well they are probably minimal being in meetings all day. The food here has been lack luster too! On the bright side my new coworkers are all very nice and the meeting context is great.
I had time to work out this am but couldn’t get my internet to connect on my laptop. It was dark out so I didn’t feel comfortable walking and I didn’t want to go to the gym.4 -

Linda, fantastic job. I love the laps!! Even if cleaning took a little longer, I bet you felt just fine about that.😊2 -

A couple of weeks ago, I ran across a thread that you posted to some months ago. It was one of those progress threads with photos. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you on your progress!!😊2 -
Transformation Tuesday:
Tell us three positive things about yourself!
1) Because I have known real fear, I am NOT afraid.
2) I love my life and embrace joy.
3) I am very grateful.

I posted this on my wall a few hours ago. Thought I would share it here as well.
So, I'm running around preparing dinner, etc. Cat startles me; l spill elderberry juice all over myself. It is purple and sticky😉. I go upstairs to change so I can finish my workout. And, the smallest pair of shorts I own... FIT!!😳🤣🤣.
Yes, for those of you who keep track of my antics... I am going to post a photo 10/14!!6 -

Good morning Peeps. 🤗
Nothing crazy this morning... Managed about 45 minutes of light to medium intensity cardio. Started off with 100 x 20lb slam ball tosses of various varieties to the Medicine Ball Rebounder. Basically, a combination of Chest press throws, 2 handed over head throws, and left and right Oblique throws. Followed by a short break and another bunch of throws. I wasn't really sweating by this time, so I headed out the front door and did 2 laps around the Community. I slogged all the way up the hill both times. SO yeah, this means I'm pretty darn near slogging the entire laps. Then I came back in and continued to throw the 20lb slam ball. And then did a third lap, once again slogging all the way up that hill. And finished up with a few more rounds of Tossing the ball. 👍
OF course, there always needs to be some sort of fly in my ointment. It seems that catching the ball and continually raising my hands and having them under tension and then relaxing during each throw tends to throw off the Fitbit off entirely. And it practically kills my heart rate even though I can feel my heart beating in my chest and as soon as I stop throwing the ball my heart rate immediately starts to rise. Whatever!!! I'll fool with some different ways to wear the Fitbit over the coming weeks as I use this Rebounder again and see if I can find a happy place? 😆
Forgot to start my Fitbit until after the initial 100 throws... So, I'm just going to estimate and say 500 calories burned this morning. That's good enough for me, for my first day back since getting sick. The good news is, I find tossin the medicine ball passes the time quite quickly. You need to pay attention to what you doing, cause a 20 pound slam ball to the face will actually hurt a lot. And when you're throwing the ball with some gusto double overhand it basically flies right back towards your face with equal gusto, so you got get out in front and catch it with both hands and shoot it up over your head for the next windup. Takes a wee bit of concentration or pain will ensue. lol Other than that it was nice to mix in with the laps around the community or perhaps rounds on the Elliptical in the future. 😀👌
Time to drag my *kitten* to work folks. You all have the most amazing day... 🤗🥰🤗😎
Did I mention we now have an unplanned trip to Ottawa this weekend, (So I can get my Dumbbellls)... NOooooooooo then another trip to Manitoulin the following weekend. It's none stop busy busy for some time to come. 😋😎
PS Lynn is in full on Cold mode. 😆🤗5 -
@rlaskey2
Which Apple Watch did you get?
@Bluetail6
Really like your positive thoughts especially the first one. Awesome NSV!
@Poobah1972
That’s some pretty good cardio this morning. Watch out for your fingers also. I sprained my finger doing Medicine ball slams. I am pretty clumsy though. Hope Lynn feels better soon.1 -
Tuesday check in
✅ Steps 11k daily (steps and converted steps)
289/500 Zone minutes
❌ Stay within calories
✅ Track food accurately
Had a binge last night. This meant a jump in the scale this morning as it was all carbs last night. This is something I need to get a grip on. For those that are new, I have binge eating disorder. I did therapy and do pretty good for the most part. No hugs please as I am proud of the progress I have made in this area overall. I am going to try and bump up my appointment with the dietitian who works with people with eating disorders. Workout yesterday was ok. Not sure if today will be a rest day. I am pretty sore so it may be a good idea.
Happy Hump Day!3 -

I absolutely love walking outdoors ...It is easy exercise (if you don't fall and get hurt like I did recently) The calorie burns is great too3
