No binge or urge to binge yesterday even though I was anxious last night. I found out yesterday I have an appointment today with the spine centre. I guess my family doctor forgot to tell me about the appointment. Anyways, I am nervous as I am hoping the surgeon will be able do do something with my back. Myself and my daughter made a list of everything I need to tell him so I don’t forget anything. I am sure most of you know the leg/back issues. Since November 2019 I started going to the doctor for leg pain initially. Between being sent to different specialist and Covid it was only during an emg in February that they notice that there was a problem with the nerves in my back. Fast forward to May of this year, I had an MRI and the figured out the issues with my back. I don’t metabolize pain killers and other medications are not an option as the interfer with existing medications. So you can see why my hopes are pinned on this appointment. It has changed the quality of my life and the pool is my pain free zone so I spend up to 2 hours a day there if I can. I try to be positive and think of all the things I can do and not what I can’t. Please sent some positive thoughts that a solution is found today. 🤞
No pool this morning but I may get there this afternoon for some stretching.
Happy Thursday!4 -

@shortyjmorgan1 The Bataan seems incredible... Such a elevation change, I imagine you need to be in some sort of shape to complete that. My goodness. 😆😬4

First photo is around 208 lbs.
Second photo is this summer around 137 lbs.
Favorite cardio is walking outside though have not been able to do it since March. Hopefully can get back to walking by the end of the year..
Sorry if photos are a weird size. I am technology challenged.
Deb
Wonderful to see you Deb! I like walking / slogging the best. If my legs and feet are willing. I'm glad I got other options.3 -

Any kind of nuts but particularly pistachios ( I had to quit bringing them in the house due to overeating them ...I would measure them out the 1st time and then go back for 2nds, 3rds and so on.... so now I am eating 28 g of roasted salted almonds sometimes with sugar free chocolate chips1 -

McGinnis PistachioLand has some of the best pistachios. My 2 favorites are their lemon lime pistachios and their cinnamon pistachios bites. They are located in Alamogordo, NM. Best place.0 -
@lindamtuck2018 grats on finally getting in. Good luck. Between dinner out and the popcorn I stayed up in weight. Now to hope it drops hard tomorrow.
@Poobah1972 rest. Your muscles will appreciate it.
What is my favorite snack? None, really. I love nuts, fruit, popcorn - hot air or stove top. I rotate thru them daily.0 -
Hey everyone,
Just checking in, was made aware that I haven't said anything to the group lately. I don't have much positivity to share, so I have just been reading your posts and not sharing myself. I'm not about to bring the group down. I hope everyone else is well. (Just how I'm feeling right now.)7 -

We are here to help. I hope things start looking up for you. Hold faith that with hard work diabetes can be controlled. I don’t know if I mentioned in my answer to your previous question that I see a dietitian every 3 months as part of my diabetic check. He has been a great tool in my toolbox to fight type 2 diabetes. I can’t remember where you live but the Canadian diabetes society has a wealth of information. The biggest tip I was given with tip my diabetes is to divide my plate. 1/4 protein!, 1/4 carb and 1/2 veggies. Best of luck.4 -

I have to check this out.1 -
Thirsty Thursday fave snack = shelled peanuts! Many people following a keto diet don't eat peanuts because they are technically a legume, but my body handles them well and I can stay in ketosis if I eat them (not the sugary store-bought peanut butter, that's different). I love having a bowl of in-shell peanuts at night along with a diet root beer. By shelling the peanuts myself, it takes me longer to eat them, and I eat less!2

@lindamtuck2018 Thanks! I have worked hard the past 4 years to get this far. Strong is a goal of mine. I know lifting saved my life last month. Now I have to start all over building myself up. I am planning on next Thursday to be my first day back to lifting. I still have lots of work to do and weight to lose. I am maintaining most of the loss from being sick which makes me happy. I am at 70# gone.
My favorite snack... wow that is hard as I have so many....glutino vanilla creme cookie with natural peanutbutter has been my craving breaker. 90 calories and I am satisfied. I guess because it hits the desire for reese's cups to which I can't have.2 -

Hey all. This week has been going great food wise so far. I physically feel better already which is nice. The bloated feeling is mostly gone and my clothes are more comfortable again. Curious to see the scale on Saturday.
I haven't gotten back into working out again yet. I need to find the best time to do one. My day is so split up between all the kids' stuff that it feels like I don't have a long enough stretch of time to myself to get a workout in. Going into next week I might just try hopping on the elliptical after taking my son to school and see what my daughter (who is still home with me at that time) thinks of that. I'm still walking my son to and from school every day so there is movement there at least. I'm not sure if that will be feasible once it gets cold out, but I hope so.5 -
@lindamtuck2018
It is beautiful. Southeast Alaska, especially so. I have cousins, from the South (US) who did a cruise years ago. They still send me photos of the Inside Passage, and I was born down there!! I love it, lol.😊4 -

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. I took a impromptu fishing trip with my dad. We went to the lake we used to go when I was a kid. So many great memories there.
To get caught up for transformation Tuesday.
Three positive things about myself.
1. I love to learn. Especially when it comes to health and fitness I am constantly reading about different facts, opinions, anecdotes, and studies.
2. I am really growing as of late. Over the past two years I have really worked though trauma from the past and have taken a active role in bettering myself and trying to be the best version of myself. Not only for me but for everyone around me. I can tell you I am a much more pleasant and positive person to be around now. I even like being around myself now. 😉😜
3. I am stubborn. Which in some ways is not a good thing but when it comes to achieving my goals it's a very positive thing because I am to stubborn not to achieve them.
Wacky Wednesday
My favorite cardio I just did three days of. It's fly fishing out of a float tube.
Thirsty Thursday
What is my favorite go-to snack?
It used to be cheese! 😭😭😭 Right now I don't really have one. I'm pretty tired of all fruits and veggies I can eat right now. Haha6 -

Sticking with your goals paid off. Great job!2 -
@Tazaria87
Glad to hear things are getting back on track. I am sure the scales will reflect the changes you made. It has to be tough fitting exercise in with small children. Have you done any lake walks with your parents lately?
@Bluetail6
Fantastic loss! It’s always nice to see pictures from we grew up. I love seeing all the pictures my friends and family post of Newfoundland. It’s the only thing that keeps me on Facebook. 😂
@luccianaff
That is a nice looking fish! What kind is it? My husband has tried to teach me how to fly fish but I am hopeless. Love your positives. I haven’t been able to think of go to snack. I tend to eat the same thing over and over until I am sick of it. If I had to pick I would say an apple. For now.

Update:
My appointment went pretty good. The doctor I saw today wasn’t the surgeon but she took my history and did an examination. She thinks that some injections in my back will help me with standing and walking. I see the surgeon on Tuesday. I feel like finally some progress is being made! 😊8 -
@luccianaff katieeeeee that looks SO FUN!! is there something protecting your legs? for some reason it is freaking me OUT to think of your bare legs dangling down there like tasty bait!
ummmmmmmmmm snacks hmmmmmm.....i really like to eat. at the moment, I am LOVINGGGG green apples liberally sprinkled with Redmond's Real Salt. Like now I want ANOTHER and I've already had 2.
@lindamtuck2018 that is good news!!! I hope you find relief soon!!
