@k80flec - It is our highest mountain, it's where Edmund Hilary learned to climb and yes there is snow all year round - I think! Often not able to be seen as it is in the clouds. Called Aoraki Mt Cook and is part of the Southern Alps of the South Island in New Zealand1 -

I'm so sorry....I don't remember when I've updated this. Wife was in a car accident a few days ago. She's okay and not seriously injured, but is really sore and stiff. She just recovered from a bad hit&run in her car about four years ago and now somebody ran a red light and t-boned her on the driver's side. She can't catch a break. I'm just super glad that she wasn't on the motorcycle or she'd not ever walk again...or worse. The car is totaled so time to go car shopping again I guess. Just when cars are harder to get and more expensive than ever.
My rehab is still moving along slowly, but successfully. Getting stronger and able to walk slightly more normally for longer periods.

*Dave, so sorry hear about accident but glad your wife is okay... also glad to hear your rehab is going smoothly1 -
… 53 miles done so far!
Best wishes to your wife Dave! Hope she starts to feel back to her normal self soon. I don’t envy you car shopping in the current climate thats for sure. Glad also to read that your own recovery is going well.0 -

@Dave - Wow! You aren't kidding. She really can't catch a break. I'm glad she's basically OK, just a bit bruised and sore.1

Oh dear! Hope your wife is good as new soon, Dave.

I won’t be able to make my target this month whilst running with my club on Tuesday I stumbled and hit the deck like a ton of bricks. I’ll admit it, I cried. I’ve got traumatic soft tissue damage to my left ankle - for the third time in 8 months. There’s some glorious bruising developing. ETA I have had it x-rayed and soft tissue damage has been confirmed.
Tuesday wasn’t a good day.
@Dave - oh dear. Sending gentle virtual hugs to your sweetie
Can I revise to 30 miles, which is what I’ve already achieved.
16.21.21 (walk) 4.04. MTD = 29.75
16.11.21 (run) 0.68. MTD = 30.43

@k80flec - Wow. You really did a number on that ankle. I hope it's not as painful as it looks. Maybe it's time to take up the bike.0

CONGRATS on making GOAL to @JANET and @K80FLEC!!!
@K80FLEC - OH NO!!! I'm so sorry to hear you got hurt again!!! I hope you feel better soon. :flowerforyou:
I missed another day of updating...spent half of the day working and the rest of the day car shopping after finding out wife's car was declared totaled. We're okay with that. They gave us a decent amount for the car and we used it as a downpayment on a 1-yr old car with less than 10K miles on it so it's brand new,s but WAAAY less expensive than it was new. Wife had been thinking about getting something newer so it worked out. There was an easier way to do it, but same result.
I'm just SOOO glad it's Friday now. I'm readier than ever for the weekend of nothing much to do! Have a great weekend all!
Dave
