@Cseguin2 ,,, Time is so strange it can fast, and slow at the same time. Glad that your Moms place is being taken care of so quickly. Sounds like you'll be done ahead of time. I'm glad your school is checking in on you. They know your values. Glad Sadie is settling in. One of my dear Aunts died a week ago Sunday. Her kitty cat is 15, awww poor Mandy, she's so heart broken, but is with my 2nd cousin and hopefully she'll adjust. That's the scary thing of having a kitty cat or any pet when we are older. What will happen to them.
@dkhudson56 ,, Sounds like things are moving along better. Glad your Mom has so much help, and you too!! That'll help you both out. NICE to have the paperwork done!! I HAVE MINE done, but KEEP on forgetting to get it all notarized,, putting that back on my list. Maybe tomorrow if the roads aren't to bad. Showers/rain until the evening, than ice, turning to snow, or so they think. LOL Living on the coast it's always a gamble as to what will we get? WILL we get? I hadn't thought about the electricity and the well, makes sense!!

@Patti241 ,,, Hi Patti!! I can't remember where you live,,, did you, are you getting the storm? We'll have a bunch of sleet, hours of it,, than snow. I'd much rather have sleet than freezing rain which is so destructive. Hope the day goes very well.

@Bookienj ,,,, HI Mary!! Nice to know your name. That was my Moms name, so it just makes me SMILE!! She's been gone an unreal 30 years. Her life was always hard, but yet she was everybody's favorite. She taught me no matter what life throws at you, look at the best side of it you can.
Hmmm it'd be a BRAGGING RIGHT if your D did go out, IF it's not icy to later on say "AND WHEN I got MYYYYY License it was really nasty out, but I PASSED FIRST TIME!" Of course kids are even more nervous just going for it. On the other hand, her just showing up ,, , if they hold the tests,,, almost a GUARANTEE she'd get it. Oh my huh?
We are getting the same weather, being on the coast it'll be warmer, but only 15 miles in they're expecting 6 to 10"s, we are expecting 3 to 6 (likely the 3 it'll be more towards the 6 near that 15 mile land maybe. TIME WILL TELL!!! We put the windshield protector on the car, we HATE scraping ice!!2 -
Good Evening Everyone!
More snow all day. Stayed in. Went through my Mom's craft bins. Didn't get rid of much but have a lot of projects and yarn. Tried studying this morning and started to fall asleep so went back to bed. It has been a sad and happy week. My uncle passed away, then an ex co-workers father passed away and my cousin and his wife had there baby. Got some more dishes and laundry done. Even played cards with Hubby for a bit.2 -
@Cseguin2,,,, I'd much rather have snow than the sleet coming in tonight into tomorrow. COOL on having projects!! I am so very sorry about your Uncle, it's so weird losing so many so quickly. Nice on the cousin and his wife having a new little one. Time marches on. Glad you got work done around the house, and got to play cards today!! I WATCHED a card game, I was late. I was okay with that, someone who doesn't win much DID WIN!!1

happy friday everyone! it is a cool and sunny day here today. not as much snow came as was originally called for. my daughter is at a semestered high school. yesterday, the second semester started. now she has four different subjects, with two of them being music subjects. she works part time when she does not have school. her part time job is with the library. she really enjoys it and looks forward to going to work each time she is scheduled to be there. both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i have been for a walk and i feel great! i will be doing some dancing after supper. have a terrific day, everyone11

We did get 99% of SLEET and about 3's of it. I've not seen any cars in our city end speeding. A FIRST INDEED!! LOL
Main Street by where I live,,, only saw 2 cars, normally per red light cycle I'd see at least 20 to 30 on just the main street and another 15 to 20 on the smaller street

Good Evening Everyone!
Today was a great day overall. Sunny but bitter cold. Hubby woke my up around 4:30am 🙄. Got up and started my day by studying. Went back to bed around 7 am as I was tired. Slept for a couple hours more. The rest of the day was shoveling snow, laundry, Thank you cards for donations made in memory of Mom, cleaned for client then ran errands.1 -
Diane: We just got rain here yesterday. So we missed the bullet on the storm.

Good Evening Everyone!
🌞 and freezing -15°c. Woke up at 5 am and studied. Also got some movement in, laundry and dishes. Also went to Mom's with my sister, brother in-law and Son. Got a lot more done. Only have 3 more Saturdays to get it done. Need to look into financing a storage unit as I have way to much stuff and a small apartment. I know there is more stuff I will be getting rid of eventually from my own personal stuff as Mom has some better things that I am replacing it with. My sister keeps laughing at me as we go through stuff because I keep saying I don't need or want anything then keep adding to my pile. It is a little funny but not really as I am starting to feel like a hoarder and I always complained that Mom had way touch stuff. Hoping to get my exam in the mail by the end of the week at latest but we will see.2 -
Survived the storm. Power went out Thursday 3p and came back on today 1245p. Home phone back working by 3p internet a bit ago. Couldn't go anywhere with my computer to post cos we were under level 3 emergency and this county declared state of emergency on Friday as we had highest percentage of power outages in the state2

@Cseguin2,,, Brrr yeah that's cold. Glad things are getting done at your Moms. I only kept a few things of my Moms, over time now the only 1 that I see is a ring she gave me. She wore this all the time, and told me that after she passed for me to have it. Every time that I'd look at it ,,, it's her love wrapped around my finger. So this is really the only thing that continues to have meaning to me. We all that something so special that it always touches our heart. I DO wish I had her cookbook, but I have Grammies. Wishing you the best with this. It's surely not easy.
@Dkhudson56 , YO that's quite awhile without electricity!! SURE hope you were able to stay warm? Are you all unpacked? Enjoying it?

I took some egg rolls, and filled them with a combo of Italian sausage, ginger, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil,, WOW OH WOW!! These are so GOOD!! Never be afraid to turn any recipe into something you like. It was called an egg roll ,, but it's not really one the way I made them. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!! I used my air fryer since I didn't want all that oil. They're so crispy!!

Today started out normal with studying. Am stuck on a question that I was stuck on shortly after Mom passed. Sent an email requesting assistance. Hoping to hear back tomorrow. Ended up at Mom's to do more as my sister changed her mind and forgot to tell me lol. Originally she wasn't going today. Oh well most of the sorting is done. Just a little to finish up then just more moving stuff. Hubby and I are trying to figure out how to finance a storage unit with everything thing else. I believe we can do it just have to tighten our spending. Told him I am willing to give up Valentine's dinner for the unit. My son needs a place to sleep when here.1 -
@Cseguin2 ,,,, I hope the question gets answered tomorrow. though you weren't expecting to go today, it sped things up which of course is good. Glad you do not have to do that alone. Hope the moving part goes well. Oh I had to find storage for an aunt, it was so HORRIBLE of the prices they wanted!! YO!! I THOUGHT it was going to be inexpensive I WAS WRONG!!! Hope you can find one nearby at a price that's not to bad. It's not at all easy going through so many emotions. Its not easy to part with stuff quickly. I felt so disloyal to my Mom. We had an auctioneer come in after the family of vultures picked through EVERY POSSIBLE THING they could grab that they wanted,,, the auctioneer gave us a flat fee of what he'd pay. Shoot we'd of thrown it out on the curve since we had sold the house and it needed to be GONE RIGHT OFF. Still it was a great option and we did benefit. Oh I am SURE My Mom would of slapped us silly!! But we were exhausted. The house, we had put at a lower price (its in a very good area) we KNEW when we did that, many would flock and bid on it,, that it'd go into a bidding war, which it did. LOL did it ever. Still to us, it was MOMS HOUSE, and we didn't have the right, but of course we "did" but, to us, we didn't. Hopefully the rest of your family aren't being fools about this.1

Well, I survived another day with Mom. She wanted to put a lounge out in wash porch where Columbia Gas wall heater was that it warns to keep furniture etc safe distance in case of fire. I won that battle-do you want to be homeless especially after it took so long to get in here. And at the apts she almost did start a fire by throwing a pillow up against an electric wall heater and a neighbor came in and smelled it. Tonight she informed me if I would quit eating for a day maybe my bowling average would increase. I am thankful for friends who can listen to me vent even if there isn't anything they can do or I'd go absolutely insane1
