    @SummerSkier - my appetite does that too, but I’ve noticed if I don’t eat more calories on run days my hunger the next couple days is worse. You raise an interesting idea of setting your calorie goal for what you’d net in a average week or month. I’ve been tracking calories in and out in an excel file for the last 5 months. I wonder what my daily goal would be if I averaged it out. Hm. I sense some excel fun tomorrow. 🤔 I shall also check out the chart you shared. Thanks for the idea!

    The effects of a bad food choice take so long to unravel with exercise that the food discipline is what it all comes down to for me. I do exercise to feel good and I love what my body can do now (and all the other benefits) but I also exercise to have more food. I don't NEED to and I eat to what I do (so I can do less on a certain day and feel fine to scale back accordingly) but I am definitely motivated by the fact that extra exercise means extra calories to fuel me.
