Yes x3
Washed the cars as surprise for hubby and took bub out in the morning so hubby cld get sum sleep so that's my good deeds for the day. He he!!
Volunteer work is awesome , I always say that being service to others is more a selfish thing as it makes you feel good wen you help!
This Uac group has totally transformed my life I am more aware of myself on a mind, bod and soul level and I feel really understood. I never even really knew wat i liked to do for fun but this group would ask me questions like wat r my hobbies and how do I reward myself etc. All things I had never thought about as in the past coming home and eating a box of crackers was all i had to look forward to! Thank u for all ur help guys and @StayFITTer wat a brilliant intro. Xo6 -
Hi everyone!
Checking in. It's been since Monday I think that I've managed to check in, which has me disqualified as Champion as well as Winner. It's been all pass days.
Last time I posted I was feeling my autoimmune thyroid disease getting activated, 10 days post-covid booster. It has been. When it's activated I need 10 hours of sleep instead of my usual 7.5. But at work I am in the middle of many important things - I have dropped the ball on some, but couldn't do it on all. And I have my kids - my wife has done more for them, but I still do quite a bit. So the time needs to come from my little self-care routines in the morning and at night. So no checking in here, no tracking.
For the first few days I did try to track mid-day, but gave that up in despair. I was still trying to eat fairly well until last night when we got takeout from a local burger place with lots of fried stuff. I slept really badly because I was so thirsty and my belly hurt. Which was not what I needed. But it made me happy in the moment ... and this week I've been going more for that.
I have been going for a walk every day. I also have fatigue and joint pain, so the walking has been fairly unpleasant, but I feel like I will lose my mind if I don't get out of the house and it's too cold to sit outside, so walk I do. 20 minutes at least, so I am still checking that box.
This has always passed before. Usually within a few days. After the first round of COVID vaccines it took 6 weeks. I am hoping this week to either feel better and get back on track that way, or take some sick time from work so that I can use some time for self-care again. However, there is a lot of important stuff happening at work these next few weeks, so I'm not sure how possible that will be.6 -

And for showing up and posting no matter what:
@LazyBlondeChef – travelling is always tricky.
@WhatMeRunning – shingles can be very serious, take it easy
@snowshoe072 – skinny popcorn can’t be too bad?
@Ginharbe – so much easier for those of us who are retired.

Insightful post @StayFITTer. We have to change our work login password every 3 months. Since joining MFP, my password is usually a seasonal goal that I am working on. My fall and winter passwords have been Consistency (with some #'s on the end). Although I haven't mastered losing weight consistently yet, I can say I have been consistent in a couple of other things related to the journey, so there is improvement.
Not logging or exercising but still maintaining good days & not letting perfect be the enemy of good.
