The last 2 days I hve made it my absolute business to track everything to a tee. Had a memory of me as a young kid picking the pecans off a pecan cake with the dullision that cos I'm picking then the calories don't count so I won't get fat. Made me sad knowing how long this has been a problem for me but also made me realise that after all this time that mentality has never served me and that there is no point in waking up at 4.30 am to do all these fancy workouts if I keep these behaviours up. I think no actually I know that this memory id forgotten about will be the gift to make a change. I'm pretty motivated. Xo
Dear Donna (@donna25trinity)
I hear you. I know it’s been a tough time. At those times I focus on tracking daily calories & walking. Worry less about micros/macros.
One of the things I realized (and dealt with) over the past 6 years is there were REASONS I overate /rarely exercised.
As they cropped up, I found new ways of talking to myself about them & new ways of dealing with them.
I realized this again over the past couple of weeks as I got really sad/horrible news about two friends from 30 years ago… In the past, I would have soothed with food. This time I soothed with stitching, drawing while on my extra long walk, listening to some uplifting music, and celebrating the joy of our earlier friendships.
And when I beat myself up for getting so wrapped up in my teaching & not staying connected to them, I gently reminded myself that they could have reached out, too. Not in a mean way, but as the advice I’d have given if a friend had asked when in a similar situation.
Then mortality raised its head. The only solution: stay in present; enjoy each moment; relax; breathe.
Things like this are much more responsible for my successful maintenance. The caring & loving teasing out of why we are eating when our body does not need it & then coming to terms with those underlying themes.
I’m still working on not eating if I’m in pain or physical discomfort (rare for me), but I have identified that as one of the last remaining ones.
My Best,

Tummy is flatter, which highlights my juicy booty I'm more in control of my binge urges. I'll say: am I thirsty, hungry, bored, angry? If so, drink water, green tea, black coffee, lemon tea, ginger tea, etc. I also enjoy my meal more. If not eating with others, I shut gadgets off, and enjoy the meal over a 2-4 hr period. Finally, you wake up having fully digested a meal.
Wow awesome improvements. Well done!!! Way are the times u specifically fast if u dnt mind me asking?? Xo0 -
