Yes x3 today. But barely. Struggled to get some exercise in. Struggled with snacking. Just one of those days, hopefully tomorrow I can get my head back in the game and do better than just squeaking by.5

Tracking - Yes ✅
Calories - Well under. Didn’t eat any exercise calories today and gave special focus to having a high protein and fibre day. I have been keeping under my total calories target each day this month, but over the past few days, I have been creeping into my exercise calories. ✅
Exercise - Yes - two rounds on the treadmill (every day, one always must be 30+ minutes). ✅
I have done 10,000+ steps every day Ian’s intend to continue doing so until the end of January. There are still many days when I genuinely don’t want to do it. The struggle is real.
But, every day, I get up from bed and put my socks and workout sneakers on before heading down the hall (yes, in my pajamas). It is helping force the situation and is a physical reminder of what I am supposed to be doing.
Thinking of everyone and what a hard time this January is serving up for so many. Sending encouragement and positive wishes for better days ahead. 💛

It was close today. We had our weekly neighborhood "Drinks on the Driveway" and one of the neighbors brought a beautiful cheese board with crackers and bread. After consuming some cheese and crackers with my wine, I decided that this will probably end up being a pass day. Was going to go for more, but then decided that even if it was a pass day, I shouldn't go hog wild. Came back inside and decided to log it. Even estimating that I ate about 4 ounces of cheese, I was within calories if (and only if) I didn't have my usual nightly square of chocolate. Like I said, it was a close call, but decided to have some tea instead.10 -
3 Yesses but there was a lot of approximating when I tracked. Have already used more than 4 Pass Days so you know how that goes. 😉
Exercise was a 30 minute walk with 1 lb hand weights (legs needed a rest from running). Then after the walk I used dumbbells for 5 minutes. I know 5 minutes isn't much, but hey, it's better than nothing! 🙃6 -
@enlightenme3 Hey that sounds like a great success. It sure is telling to track everything- it's often not as dire as we first think. Thanks for sharing
@jamcnewman Great strategy for getting yourself in the zone.
One inspirational quote a lot of the Peloton instructors mention is shifting the focus from "I have to do this" to "I get to do this". Realize that may not land for everyone but it has helped me through some tough moments on the bike6 -

While I can technically count the day as 3xYes, the truth is today was not OK. I ate my planned breakfast and lunch and then ate a bunch of chocolate chips. So many in fact I'm still satiated. It's all nerves and anxiety. I've been mindful of that building up and trying to avoid it but didn't today. I have been working on solutions to help but might be a couple weeks out still. Until then just keeping the mindful approach, that's the best I can do for now. Doesn't help that the others at home are super anxious after being couped up and some sick and they are all eating some crazy stuff. It will be nice when their stress is also relieved.
Hang in there. That sounds rough and you're doing just fine. Life happens and we do what we gotta to get through the rough spots sometimes. I hope things ease up soon and meanwhile I'm wishing you a ton of grace and self compassion. I hope you do some other good things for you today!5 -
Hey everyone!
Yes to all three.
2/3 pass days so far
I upped my calorie budget at the suggestion of a new source. I'm gonna give it a try.
It's sure eased up the tension. Since I started exercising more, I'm hungrier and sometimes it's tough to stay under calorie goal. It still is with the looser budget, but not as tough.
Didn't walk today but did my HIIT workout. I dance cardio minimum 3 times a week and also trying to get some walks in as I gear up for starting a couch to 5k running program. Baby steps baby. lol
I had a great podiatrist appt today, new info that's going to help going forward. I'm glad I waited for the appt before I went shopping for running and walking shoes! I also found a lot of local people who are running and walking together! So excited for this. Now I need some folks who want to go skating and dancing. hahaha! I mean, I'll GO ALONE. But it's always more fun with a group.
Thinking of you all! Cheering you on no matter where you are in journey. Progress is not a straight line.8 -

My daughter came home. Not completely sure that was best but rather her home than in hospital right now. She's a great little actress when she wants to be and convinced them she was okay. We'll see. If it gets bad again, I'll just contact her therapist now that I have her number and make the necessary arrangements for a voluntary admission. Sigh.11 -
