@Mom24_2021 @Vegan4lyfe2012 @gwamajtw91 Congrats on making it onto the leaderboard!

@fatfifties That's a great idea to do that for your trip. I hope you have a great time with your mom! Congrats on the loss and for reaching 50 lbs down!!! Woot woot!

@laurelfit57 Congrats on the loss! EE sure can have a loud voice. :( The dog walk with the rescue: it's so nice to see so many people walking the pups. I was glad to be one of them. It sounds like you have figured out what works for you, that's awesome. I hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl if you watched it. I watched the Puppy Bowl lol.

@Cornanda Thanks, I hope I like them. I did enjoy my walk, thank you! I am going to go back to what I tracked tonight. Last night, we ordered sushi which isn't as healthy as you would think. I have to get something at the cafe at work for lunch today, I usually take dinner's leftovers for lunch but there were none. :( That was a good idea to keep track of how many times you thought about food. I'm sure it was interesting. Hugs to your peppers.

@askewcr Luckily it is only one day. Just get back on the wagon today! Great job getting to the gym.

Hi all. I hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl or Puppy Bowl if you watched either of those. I watched the Puppy Bowl. We ordered sushi for dinner which was not what I planned but I guess it could have been worse.

Good morning, Team! Thank you all for the prayers and understanding that I haven’t been able to be around as much as usual. Things here are OK right now. Joe is doing so much better since coming home from the hospital and we are watching his water intake closely, so we don’t end up back in the hospital. I did end up with a cold, which I blame the hospital for since they are doing construction and I had to walk through the ER to get to Joe’s room. Soooo stupid!! Anyway, I got a test and it was negative for Covid, so just a cold and sore throat. I’m much better today and plan to go grocery shopping and then to church to do the office work for this week. Joe has to be at the hospital at 7 am in morning for his port placement. I’m just praying that it all goes well this week for us. My weight is up but not as bad as I had thought it might be. I haven’t worked out at all this week and just doing my best to juggle home and work life. I do miss interacting with you all! <3

@TeresaW1020 I’m so glad your husband is feeling better and is home. Hope you get o et your cold soon.

Congratulations to @Mom24_2021 @gwamajtw91 anf @vegan4lyfe2012 for getting onto the letter board. Woot woot.

All is good with me. Today and tomorrow are my days off so I have lots planned. I have consistently been taking over my 5000 steps a day now so today my goal has been upped to 7000. I plan to begin doing some beginners yoga to see if I can strengthen my core and basic muscles…. Or should I try something different guys. Remember I’m allergic to exercise lol. So baby steps please. All ideas r greatful

@fushiakat Your hair sounds really pretty, kind of funky!

@Cornanda if you are anything like me, you will totally get lost in your pictures. It’s so much fun, but never ending LOL.
Well… At least it was only a bit of a binge and not fall on!
I feel bad for your pup, such a worry.♥️

@trooworld I don’t watch the Super Bowl, I never knew there was such a thing as a puppy bowl LOL, sounds like fun! Sushi sounds like it was a good choice.

@fatfifties huge congratulations on the 50 pounds down!!

@TeresaW1020 so glad to hear that things are OK right now. It sounds like you have been on such a roller coaster! Please do take good care of yourself and Joe♥️

@tammymccrady6278 good for you with being consistent with your steps!! Do you work out online or belong to a gym? I signed up at a gym in November and really just tried a lot of classes, now I do my favourite classes, doesn’t seem like work at all! It’s a lot of fun :-).

Mondays are a super busy day for me activity wise. I have spin class in the morning and then Vannie‘s agility class in the afternoon. I am very glad that I am doing spin class now, so I can keep up with her🤣. My word she moves fast! It was a good day today, able to stay on track with my eating, I was able to do spin class this morning all the way through, that felt like an accomplishment. I think I am finally healed up from Covid 😮‍💨

I went for my pre-procedure Covid test today, I had to wait in line for an hour. Just Wow! I got the sheets changed out on the bed, 1 load of laundry done, and lunch made. Umm laundry, right that stuff in the dryer right now that probably needs my attention. Lol!!

@FushiaKat Im so happy that you were able to find something to enjoy for your bday. I actually added those exact same ones to my cart when I went searching for alternatives for you! I had one tonight and I personally love them! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did 🤗

And thank you! I haven’t seen the leaderboards yet but that makes me feel like all my effort is working. Lol.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I actually haven’t been able to get on much to actually chat so I had no idea I made the leaderboard but I really appreciate all the support even if I don’t talk a whole bunch. I may have set too many goals in 2022 but I’m keeping to all of them and my husband is really proud of me, but more importantly, IM proud of me. Just know I am thinking of and rooting for each and every one of you! Good days or bad, you are all doing amazing simply for being here in this group and keeping up with weigh ins! Accountability is a major step to reaching your goals and I think it’s absolutely wonder we all have this safe space to go to. 💛 Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day!

@TeresaW1020 I'm glad Joe is doing better. Sorry about the cold! I'm glad it wasn't COVID. I hope the port placement goes okay and it doesn't cause Joe pain. Hugs.

@tammymccrady6278 Great job increasing your step count! I think yoga is a great idea. If you want to do more aerobics, I like Leslie Sansone's videos on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/LeslieSansonesWalkatHome They are easy enough that anyone can do them but they can burn calories, too. Good luck!

@laurelfit57 Yes, it's on Animal Planet! Check it out some year. :) Congrats on an awesome day. That's great that you are over COVID.

@Mom24_2021 That's great you are sticking to your goals! You are right about accountability. I hope you had a good Valentine's Day, too!

Hi all. Yesterday was a busy day at work. I came home and my husband had made lasagna. I don't mean he heated up a boxed lasagna. I don't even mean he boiled the noodles and added cheese and jarred sauce. Nothing wrong with either of those two methods but the effort this man made, wow. No, he HANDMADE the pasta and made the sauce out of plum tomatoes! He also made garlic bread. It was delicious and made with love. I hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day, too.

@trooworld – Love your idea of an NSV notebook. Hunter just bought me a fun one with dragonflies (my fave), so I think I’ll dedicate it to happy NSVs  OMGoodness is Daisy not the cutest?!? Wow…100% home made lasagna? Yeah…he’s a keeper
@Cornanda – Thank you for your Feb 8 graphics. I needed them! Congrats on dropping into the next decade! And hugs on all that worry. I do the same thing…when one thing goes wrong, my hateful self really gets going on demeaning me for everything. We just need to keep working at our self love.
@FushiaKat – Awesome job on the losses – both current and over time. Over 71# is amazing! What fantastic advice for @amioc that I needed to be reminded of, too. We definitely need to have our “why” and everyone’s “why” is different. But with counting calories and staying below, we can all achieve our end goals.
@laurelfit57 – Cracking up at where you found your tablecloth! I’d do that normally without any help from covid!
@Katmary71 – Hugs to you and prayers for your nephew. It was tough getting Hunter to go to school. Hers was mainly separation anxiety, which is part of her bipolar. Oh man, I dreaded those days. And here she is, 22 years old now, and will still sometimes have issues going to work if I’m at home. And good for you for being able to tell people NO. I remember my BFF telling me so many years ago that she wished she could tell people NO the way I did – with no hesitation. I told her that, being a single mom of 3 kids, kept me in check. If I can do something for someone and want to, I will. If not, then I say no and they’ll find someone else to help. It all works out.
@TeresaW1020 – Continued prayers for Joe and you.
@fatfifties – congrats on losing over 50 pounds!

Well, my peeps, I think the wave of depression is starting to flow back out to sea. I’m feeling a bit better and hope to be on here more. Definitely need the accountability. We celebrated Hunter’s Birthday this past weekend (overnight in Grand Rapids) and the girl sure can find all the vegan restaurants. Lots of yummy food, but definitely not the healthiest. I tried making some educated guesses. Between that and TOM about to arrive, I knew I’d be up a bit so I wasn’t surprised. My focus right now is to try and wean myself off soda (AGAIN). I always feel better when I’m not drinking any fizzies, but dang that caffeine gets me! I did get my hair cut a week ago and that has helped with making me feel better. Cut off about 6” to 8”. Feels so super short now! Weird not feeling it all the way down my back when I get out of the shower…anyway, my stylist has been a lifelong friend (we were besties in elementary) so it was great catching up with her. Now if only I could get the hang of curling it like she did! Off to Hunter’s follow up appt with the kidney specialist (today it will be determined if the heavy metal poisoning did any permanent damage). Prayers going up and fingers crossed! Have a lovely day, my peeps!

@trooworld WOW!!!! What a great Valentines present! Is your husband a chef? It always sounds like he makes the most amazing meals!

@Cornanda Really sorry you are having such a bad day! I am in the same boat that you are. I did OK through Christmas, but the beginning of January I started to go off the rails a bit, then with Covid I definitely went off the rails and just couldn’t seem to get my eating back on track. I am still not in the positive mindset that I was before Christmas, right now I am doing one day at a time. I can’t seem to wrap my head around this like I did in the fall and leading up to Christmas. I am back on track again with exercise, I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around the food thing. Right now I am just waking up every morning and thinking, just stay on track today, I can’t look any further than that. I don’t know what that’s all about. Right now that’s working for me.

@vegan4lyfe2012 so glad that you are seeing some clear skies ahead♥️. It sounds like it was a very fun birthday celebration! Fingers are definitely crossed for good results for Hunter’s tests!!

Another quiet day around here, was able to stay on track with eating, my interval class this morning I was able to go full out which really made me happy! About two weeks ago, for about 2 weeks, we had gorgeous weather above zero lots of melting going on and it was just wonderful to be out walking. Unfortunately we have gone back into the deep freeze and now our sidewalks have about 3 to 6 inches of ice on them, even with my snow pics it is hard to walk because the ice is so hard. I have to figure something else out, might be hitting a few stores with Vannie in the afternoons to get her walks in🤣

@Cornanda I'm sorry about being in a bad place. Can you think of 3 positive things that have been helping you? I got this idea from this week's challenge, Self-Care Bingo. It helped me be a little more positive, not totally but helped a bit. A long walk, rest, and journaling sound like good therapy. Hugs.

@FushiaKat Congrats on the loss of lbs and inches, woot woot!

@vegan4lyfe2012 That sounds like a perfect NSV book! Thanks, we love little Daisy so much! Hubby is a keeper for sure! I'm sorry you were struggling with depression. I don't know if you know, but I suffer from it too and sometimes it can be so hard to just get up and go to work, let alone try to take care of myself. Happy belated birthday to Hunter! It feels good to get your hair done, huh? I hope all goes well with Hunter's appt.

@laurelfit57 It was! He's a "cooking enthusiast". Not a professional. But he can and does make so many good things. Makes it hard on the WLJ! Congrats on a good day! Oh dear about the weather. :(

Hi all. Not doing too good over here. I didn't do well at the scale which always puts me in a bad mood. Hopefully it doesn't set the tone for the day.

@trooworld Sorry about the gain this week, but you just need keep moving in the direction you know works for you. I’m in the same boat, by the way! :/

@laurelfit57 Glad that you were able to enjoy a few days of good weather before another deep freeze hits. :)

@vegan4lyfe2012 How wonderful that your depression is improving and I hope you continue to feel better. I pray that you get good news from Hunter’s doctor! :)

@Cornanda I am super sorry that you are struggling right now! <3 Believe me, I understand how hard it is to get back on track when worries are consuming us. Just don’t give up on yourself and you will find your way again.

Good morning Team! I’m jumping on while I have a few quiet moments to focus on something other than home and work life. Joe got his port inserted yesterday and did really well. He is in a little pain and feels weak this morning. We go see a counselor this afternoon to talk about his first chemo appointment that begins tomorrow morning. I’m praying big-time that he can handle it. We are going out to a nice lunch today since he might not feel like eating after tomorrow. My diet has been on and off depending on my moods. This cold is still kicking my butt and I haven’t worked out in well over a week and I miss it. Hopefully, I will get back to it by this weekend. :)

I'm still chugging along making the best of every day. Glad to be on this side of the dirt as my mom would say.

Honey was super sweet on Valentine's Day. Hope everyone had a great one. <3

I went to tutor one of my students at her school this morning and she wasn't there. Praying all is well with her. Luckily for me I took my clothes for the gym so I went on. It was good and I finally got back on the elliptical. I will include that in my daily routine now.

Have a great day everyone and let's go get it! B)

@TeresaW1020 I'm so glad to hear Joe is doing better since the hospital, you both are in my prayers. Take good care of yourself.

@Cornanda Hugs my friend, I hope you're able to reevaluate and figure this out.

I'm behind but wanted to at least drop in. I had my youngest nephew's band concert yesterday so I went to that and got home late then my older nephew had a setback and didn't go to school and was having a panic attack so I rushed over, I was 10 minutes into a workout and pulled my jeans over my workout clothes and headed out. My Mom took over for noontime. I told the holistic pain group I'd be by to drop off something they left in my car moving and bought my curcumin supplement and brought home the wrong one so I had to go back. I took the two that just moved in together a pot of herbs too so I had to get that together. SO I finished my workout and talked to a friend and now I'm in bed with my computer totally exhausted. I'm still having hormone issues switching back to the pill, you'd think after 16 days my body would realize what's going on, if it keeps up I'll have to go back and just get Depo again I guess. It was too cold for me (legs seize up when I'm cold) to have ice cream with everyone last night so aside of the Superbowl I've done great this month, of course I haven't lost anything though!

Oh, the German gardening technique is Huglekulture, you do it in raised beds and put wood at the bottom, then leaves, then grass and potting soil or dirt then your plants. I can't do raised beds so I'm just doing a huglekulture compost pile on a flat area on the hill but I can't be in this much pain to do it because I can barely feel my feet and trip easily. Happy Thursday you amazing awesome people, have a great one!

Pickles!! Has anybody ever read the calories on the label for pickles? Every jar I've bought say's like Zero Calories for 1 - 3 pickles. So, when I'm struggling, and I'm sure you've been right there with me in the kitchen opening every cupboard looking for something, anything at all that won't derail me, I eat pickles. I don't for one second believe they are zero calories because they are cucumbers that have been pickled. But the label say's Zero calories so they can't be too bad for me. I bought some tiny dill spiced pickles with garlic and hot peppers, they are delicious! Is there some calorie removing magic at work here? I always keep a jar in the fridge, for emergencies. I only eat the 1 serving and then my craving's go away. The trick is to stop at one serving, put them back in the fridge and save them for another day. Lol, I ate pickles yesterday.

@FushiaKat - not sure exactly when it is, but Happy Birthday!

@TeresaW1020 - Glad to hear Joe feels better. Hope the port goes well. Still praying for you both.

I'm in a bad place today people. Letting worries affect my food behavior. Another binge yesterday. My weight is up 5 pounds this week! Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I will also pile on other things I'm doing "wrong". I realized that I've never fully gotten back on track after the holidays. Partially but not fully. Been making excuses for myself. So, today, I will try to get my head in a better place and get this train back on the right track. A long walk, a bit of rest and some journaling is the plan.
    Lisa

I’m sorry your in a bad place @Cornanda 🙁. I’ve been feeling the exact same way since December 😢. It’s ever so hard to pull yourself out of it. If you ever want a chat feel free to message me.

@TeresaW1020 Thanks, yeah it happens and we just have to move on without dwelling on the gain too much. I'm trying to focus on small goals...more water, more veggies, less "pointy" foods. I hope Joe's first session goes well. Hang in there.

@askewcr I'm glad you had a good Valentine's Day. Congrats on making it to the gym.

@Katmary71 Your poor nephew, I'm glad he has you guys to help. I'm sorry you are in pain.

Hi all. I woke up very stiff and my back hurts a bit. My body will eventually wake up and warm up and be fine but it's painful until then. Yesterday at work was kind of a cr@p show. I was busy all day and there was an urgent project that came up 45 minutes before I had to clock out for the day, I ended up finishing the project but leaving my office a mess which is something I never do. I did really well yesterday eating-wise.

Like many, I too dropped the ball at holidays, followed by my January pity-party for missing to improve in a year, and THEN I decided to act like an adult😁. So, from February 1st I’ve been doing something physical 6 days a week (easy stuff but anything beats the zero from before) … and my scale shot up about 4lb. I also decided to do this for 3 months, regardless of the scale readings.
This week I dropped some water weight, no biggie, my eyes are on May 1st. Date has no meaning but I have to untangle myself from instant results expectations and 3 months sounded reasonable.
Biggest improvement so far, it seems that I’m grumbling less when I start exercising. Really- my next decision might be about the inner toddler 😁.

@trooworld sorry to hear about your back and stiffness! Sounds like a crazy day at work, but super glad you were able to stay on track with your eating!

@GabiV125 good for you! Being active every day is so important, no matter what it is. I

@teresaW1020 glad to hear that the port went well, sorry he is in pain and feeling weak but with any luck that will pass. I have no doubt that your diet is on and off, in stressful times it is great to be able to work out, but too often there’s just never time. Please do take good care of yourself♥️

@askewcr good use of found time! It’s nice to be able to get in a work out!

I was able to stay on track with both my food and exercise today. Concentrating on just this day in front of me seems to be working :-).
I am so exhausted tonight I could fall asleep while sitting here trying to do this post. Talk to you all tomorrow

@FushiaKat If I remember correctly if it's under 10 calories they can say zero calories but I may be wrong.

@amioc Is there anything we can do to help you? Maybe some kind of group activity would help everyone if you have any ideas? @Cornanda ?

@trooworld You sound busy with work, hang in there my friend! Hope you were able to loosen up a bit, waking up stinks!

@GabiV125 Sounds like a good plan with 3 months, are you starting to like exercise? It's the best part of my day to be honest, wouldn't have thought I'd be saying that a few years ago.

@leonadixon Let us know how the hula hoop goes, I was checking those out a few years ago! Is your knee feeling better now? I hope so!

@laurelfit57 Way to go on staying on track, sweet dreams!

Hey gang! My nephew made it to school but I woke up and worked out early in case he didn't, was pretty worn out so I've had a real mellow day. Everything I order from Amazon has been screwy as far as clothes so I've made two returns in two days which is annoying. Workout was good, ate well, have Asher curled up purring next to me, life is good. I'm off to finish my cozy mystery, night everyone have an amazing Friday!
