@tammymccrady6278 - Wow! You go girl! You're killing it!
@amioc
@trooworld - did you find some nice glasses? That is a great idea about the pretracking! Go you! Also good job resisting the pizza offer!
@bgame4 - We all do things like that even though we know better. It's done, so just get back to your plan and move on. You got this!
@FushiaKat - I didn't think about ice cream bars because they didn't scream BIRTHDAY at me. We have Yasso bars- they are around 100 calories depending on the flavor. And they have yummy cookie flavors. We also have Fat Boy Jr ice cream bars. They are smaller than the normal size, but also around 100 calories, I think- we are currently out so I can't check a box.
@laurelfit57 - I have put off decluttering for years and years and there is SO much to do. However, like losing weight..... you just have to keep chipping away at it. The project I'm dreading the most is getting all the photos organized. A day playing trucks sounds like fun!
@Katmary71 - that does sound like gremlins! Lol, you have to go because your cats want to watch the computer. I hope they don't need an IT person!
A bit rainy this morning, still hoping to get my walk in. Will be doing some more deep cleaning and decluttering today. Got some stuff done in the garage and in my office yesterday and it felt good! Tonight I'll sort of watch the Super Bowl. I am making Skinnytaste lighter hot wings for dinner. I would be more interested in the game if my team made it in- Packers. Aaron Rodgers needs to wake up and get a haircut!

@trooworld thank you, I'm adopting your pretracking idea! I live in Spain and after 2.5 years i finally get to visit my mum in the Uk next week!! I know what she's like with food!!! I wrote out what im going to eat everyday ... then sent mum a grocery order!! Great idea!2
-
We have accomplished great things so far in the month of February! You should be proud of all you've accomplished. You can even see some numbers about those accomplishments in the link below!
Here's a sneak peek of how your team did...

I went shopping for low calorie ice cream bars, I found Yasso bars - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for 100 calories each they are Greek Yogurt bars. There were slim pick' ins for low calorie ice cream bars. I will try one next week. Thank you for the suggestions 😋0

@katmary lol I’m glad there is a firm understanding in your house that the cats are in charge 🤣
@Cornanda cleaning and decluttering is not my bag either and definitely gets put off. This year I decided that if I can’t get it done in the middle of a pandemic when I am stuck in the house in the winter, I would never get it done! In the last six years I have two sons who have moved in and moved out, there was just a lot of clutter and stuff left all over here. It really is cathartic to get it all straightened out! Funny that you mention your pictures, I have put those off for another year. My sister was the family historian, she inherited all the pictures from my grandparents, had all the pictures from many aunts and uncles (I have no idea why) and many of the pictures from when I was growing up. When she passed away somehow I got six file boxes of pictures, half of the people I don’t even know who they are. Anyway… Now that the rest of my house is decluttered, I can think about doing our pictures maybe next year.
Those wings you were making for the game sound delicious! I think I am going to have to look at the skinny taste site again, I need some new recipes.
@trooworld emotional eating😒 it sure can have a loud voice! So true, waking up the next morning, we get to start all over again! The dog walk with the dog rescue sounds like so much fun!
@Fushiakat those bars sound delicious and the perfect thing for a birthday!
Super chill day here today. Monday through Saturday, first thing I track is my proteins, I try for about 140 g a day then I add in the rest of my food. On Sunday I just strive to stay within my calories, don’t really care about the protein, I sort of considerate my free day To eat more carbs :-) :-). I have definitely figured out that carbs are not my friend when I am trying to lose weight. Don’t get me wrong, I still get in lots of fruits and veggies, I have my bowl of oatmeal every morning and some other whole grains throughout the day:-).
Hope everybody had a great day and enjoy the Super Bowl!0 -
Totally blew it at the Super Bowl party tonight. Had chips, dip, hamburger, baked beans, brownie, and water. It was delicious but so wrong of me.
There was so much more delicious food there but I stopped right there. They even had ice cream and cake.
But, tomorrow's another day and I will hit that gym in the morning. I did go this morning at 7:30 so I am not beating myself up too bad. I will do better tomorrow.
I'm sipping on a glass of cold water now and am quite satisfied. Let's go get it!1 -
Ugh! My back is killing me so much, so I didn't get in 3000 steps today. Two days ago, I started having a flare. If I never have another flare live would be just grand. I must have tweaked my lower back while sleeping because I don't remember doing anything to injure it. I took 2 pain pills at the same time, and it only took the edge off.
I just realized that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I didn't wrap up hub's gifts.
Flares are evil because not only am I in terrible pain, but then I'm battling cravings for Carb's, Sugar and Salt. Do those cravings lessen over time? Lucky for me I don't really have anything in the house that's within easy reach. I didn't even touch the Sugar Free candy today. I know I didn't drink enough water, but I had 2 big glasses of iced tea. It will get better eventually, but I was looking forward to getting stuff done next week.
I did color my hair this morning "Allspice", I've had the color for a while now and decided it would be my get rid of one thing today. I like how it turned out, a darker brown with a touch of red highlights.
I need to remember to be kind to myself. I will just get behind on my housework for a few days, but it's not the end of the world. Today is the day I change the sheets on the bed and vacuum. I did neither of those things. Tomorrow is another day, hopefully I will feel better.1 -

@trooworld - ooh. Your glasses sound nice. Hope you enjoyed your walk with the pups. The pizza is over, now get back to eating what you pretracked.
Congrats leaderboard peeps!
@laurelfit57 - Nice loss! Yes, it does feels good when you get all the stuff sorted and organized. It is going to take me awhile. I felt the same way regarding the pandemic- why am I not getting this done now when I have all this extra time? I guess because it's not a pleasant task. It is easier to do once you get going on it. My Mom and MIL have both given me many historical family pictures lately, and then I have everything from my own family. Some of it's organized, most is not. MIL gave me photos in big yellow envelopes- there are pix of her from when she was little, my husband's school pix, pix from my wedding, pix of my kids all thrown together randomly. I think she just tossed everything she had in boxes for years. I do not want to do that to my kids. It will be a big project, probably with some scanning involved as well.
@askewcr - superbowl parties are minefields for eating. I know you'll get right back at it.
@FushiaKat - Hope you feel better quickly. The housework can wait.
@fatfifties- Nice loss and congrats on 50 lbs!
I had a bit of binge over the weekend- nibbled whenever I thought about food, finished up the leftover fries I made for the superbowl instead of tossing them. I started keeping track of how many times I think about food and it's startling. Time to get back at it. Pup seems to do a little better, then do a little worse again, so the jury is still out there.

Good morning, Team! Thank you all for the prayers and understanding that I haven’t been able to be around as much as usual. Things here are OK right now. Joe is doing so much better since coming home from the hospital and we are watching his water intake closely, so we don’t end up back in the hospital. I did end up with a cold, which I blame the hospital for since they are doing construction and I had to walk through the ER to get to Joe’s room. Soooo stupid!! Anyway, I got a test and it was negative for Covid, so just a cold and sore throat. I’m much better today and plan to go grocery shopping and then to church to do the office work for this week. Joe has to be at the hospital at 7 am in morning for his port placement. I’m just praying that it all goes well this week for us. My weight is up but not as bad as I had thought it might be. I haven’t worked out at all this week and just doing my best to juggle home and work life. I do miss interacting with you all!

@fatfifties congratulations on such a huge milestone!
@TeresaW1020 I’m so glad your husband is feeling better and is home. Hope you get o et your cold soon.
Congratulations to @Mom24_2021 @gwamajtw91 anf @vegan4lyfe2012 for getting onto the letter board. Woot woot.
All is good with me. Today and tomorrow are my days off so I have lots planned. I have consistently been taking over my 5000 steps a day now so today my goal has been upped to 7000. I plan to begin doing some beginners yoga to see if I can strengthen my core and basic muscles…. Or should I try something different guys. Remember I’m allergic to exercise lol. So baby steps please. All ideas r greatful1 -
@fushiakat Your hair sounds really pretty, kind of funky!
@Cornanda if you are anything like me, you will totally get lost in your pictures. It’s so much fun, but never ending LOL.
Well… At least it was only a bit of a binge and not fall on!
I feel bad for your pup, such a worry.♥️
@trooworld I don’t watch the Super Bowl, I never knew there was such a thing as a puppy bowl LOL, sounds like fun! Sushi sounds like it was a good choice.
@fatfifties huge congratulations on the 50 pounds down!!
@TeresaW1020 so glad to hear that things are OK right now. It sounds like you have been on such a roller coaster! Please do take good care of yourself and Joe♥️
@tammymccrady6278 good for you with being consistent with your steps!! Do you work out online or belong to a gym? I signed up at a gym in November and really just tried a lot of classes, now I do my favourite classes, doesn’t seem like work at all! It’s a lot of fun :-).
Mondays are a super busy day for me activity wise. I have spin class in the morning and then Vannie‘s agility class in the afternoon. I am very glad that I am doing spin class now, so I can keep up with her🤣. My word she moves fast! It was a good day today, able to stay on track with my eating, I was able to do spin class this morning all the way through, that felt like an accomplishment. I think I am finally healed up from Covid 😮💨2 -
I went for my pre-procedure Covid test today, I had to wait in line for an hour. Just Wow! I got the sheets changed out on the bed, 1 load of laundry done, and lunch made. Umm laundry, right that stuff in the dryer right now that probably needs my attention. Lol!!0
-
@FushiaKat Im so happy that you were able to find something to enjoy for your bday. I actually added those exact same ones to my cart when I went searching for alternatives for you! I had one tonight and I personally love them! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did 🤗
And thank you! I haven’t seen the leaderboards yet but that makes me feel like all my effort is working. Lol.1 -
Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I actually haven’t been able to get on much to actually chat so I had no idea I made the leaderboard but I really appreciate all the support even if I don’t talk a whole bunch. I may have set too many goals in 2022 but I’m keeping to all of them and my husband is really proud of me, but more importantly, IM proud of me. Just know I am thinking of and rooting for each and every one of you! Good days or bad, you are all doing amazing simply for being here in this group and keeping up with weigh ins! Accountability is a major step to reaching your goals and I think it’s absolutely wonder we all have this safe space to go to. 💛 Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day!2

@TeresaW1020 Just wanted to reach out and let you know that I have read your update and I will be praying for you and your husband. 🙏❤️0

@FushiaKat - not sure exactly when it is, but Happy Birthday!
@TeresaW1020 - Glad to hear Joe feels better. Hope the port goes well. Still praying for you both.
I'm in a bad place today people. Letting worries affect my food behavior. Another binge yesterday. My weight is up 5 pounds this week! Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I will also pile on other things I'm doing "wrong". I realized that I've never fully gotten back on track after the holidays. Partially but not fully. Been making excuses for myself. So, today, I will try to get my head in a better place and get this train back on the right track. A long walk, a bit of rest and some journaling is the plan.

@trooworld – Love your idea of an NSV notebook. Hunter just bought me a fun one with dragonflies (my fave), so I think I’ll dedicate it to happy NSVs
OMGoodness is Daisy not the cutest?!? Wow…100% home made lasagna? Yeah…he’s a keeper
@Cornanda – Thank you for your Feb 8 graphics. I needed them! Congrats on dropping into the next decade! And hugs on all that worry. I do the same thing…when one thing goes wrong, my hateful self really gets going on demeaning me for everything. We just need to keep working at our self love.
@FushiaKat – Awesome job on the losses – both current and over time. Over 71# is amazing! What fantastic advice for @amioc that I needed to be reminded of, too. We definitely need to have our “why” and everyone’s “why” is different. But with counting calories and staying below, we can all achieve our end goals.
@laurelfit57 – Cracking up at where you found your tablecloth! I’d do that normally without any help from covid!
@Katmary71 – Hugs to you and prayers for your nephew. It was tough getting Hunter to go to school. Hers was mainly separation anxiety, which is part of her bipolar. Oh man, I dreaded those days. And here she is, 22 years old now, and will still sometimes have issues going to work if I’m at home. And good for you for being able to tell people NO. I remember my BFF telling me so many years ago that she wished she could tell people NO the way I did – with no hesitation. I told her that, being a single mom of 3 kids, kept me in check. If I can do something for someone and want to, I will. If not, then I say no and they’ll find someone else to help. It all works out.
@TeresaW1020 – Continued prayers for Joe and you.
@fatfifties – congrats on losing over 50 pounds!
Well, my peeps, I think the wave of depression is starting to flow back out to sea. I’m feeling a bit better and hope to be on here more. Definitely need the accountability. We celebrated Hunter’s Birthday this past weekend (overnight in Grand Rapids) and the girl sure can find all the vegan restaurants. Lots of yummy food, but definitely not the healthiest. I tried making some educated guesses. Between that and TOM about to arrive, I knew I’d be up a bit so I wasn’t surprised. My focus right now is to try and wean myself off soda (AGAIN). I always feel better when I’m not drinking any fizzies, but dang that caffeine gets me! I did get my hair cut a week ago and that has helped with making me feel better. Cut off about 6” to 8”. Feels so super short now! Weird not feeling it all the way down my back when I get out of the shower…anyway, my stylist has been a lifelong friend (we were besties in elementary) so it was great catching up with her. Now if only I could get the hang of curling it like she did! Off to Hunter’s follow up appt with the kidney specialist (today it will be determined if the heavy metal poisoning did any permanent damage). Prayers going up and fingers crossed! Have a lovely day, my peeps!1 -
@trooworld WOW!!!! What a great Valentines present! Is your husband a chef? It always sounds like he makes the most amazing meals!
@Cornanda Really sorry you are having such a bad day! I am in the same boat that you are. I did OK through Christmas, but the beginning of January I started to go off the rails a bit, then with Covid I definitely went off the rails and just couldn’t seem to get my eating back on track. I am still not in the positive mindset that I was before Christmas, right now I am doing one day at a time. I can’t seem to wrap my head around this like I did in the fall and leading up to Christmas. I am back on track again with exercise, I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around the food thing. Right now I am just waking up every morning and thinking, just stay on track today, I can’t look any further than that. I don’t know what that’s all about. Right now that’s working for me.
@vegan4lyfe2012 so glad that you are seeing some clear skies ahead♥️. It sounds like it was a very fun birthday celebration! Fingers are definitely crossed for good results for Hunter’s tests!!
Another quiet day around here, was able to stay on track with eating, my interval class this morning I was able to go full out which really made me happy! About two weeks ago, for about 2 weeks, we had gorgeous weather above zero lots of melting going on and it was just wonderful to be out walking. Unfortunately we have gone back into the deep freeze and now our sidewalks have about 3 to 6 inches of ice on them, even with my snow pics it is hard to walk because the ice is so hard. I have to figure something else out, might be hitting a few stores with Vannie in the afternoons to get her walks in🤣0 -
@trooworld Sorry about the gain this week, but you just need keep moving in the direction you know works for you. I’m in the same boat, by the way!
@laurelfit57 Glad that you were able to enjoy a few days of good weather before another deep freeze hits.
@vegan4lyfe2012 How wonderful that your depression is improving and I hope you continue to feel better. I pray that you get good news from Hunter’s doctor!
@Cornanda I am super sorry that you are struggling right now!Believe me, I understand how hard it is to get back on track when worries are consuming us. Just don’t give up on yourself and you will find your way again.
Good morning Team! I’m jumping on while I have a few quiet moments to focus on something other than home and work life. Joe got his port inserted yesterday and did really well. He is in a little pain and feels weak this morning. We go see a counselor this afternoon to talk about his first chemo appointment that begins tomorrow morning. I’m praying big-time that he can handle it. We are going out to a nice lunch today since he might not feel like eating after tomorrow. My diet has been on and off depending on my moods. This cold is still kicking my butt and I haven’t worked out in well over a week and I miss it. Hopefully, I will get back to it by this weekend.

I'm still chugging along making the best of every day. Glad to be on this side of the dirt as my mom would say.
Honey was super sweet on Valentine's Day. Hope everyone had a great one.
I went to tutor one of my students at her school this morning and she wasn't there. Praying all is well with her. Luckily for me I took my clothes for the gym so I went on. It was good and I finally got back on the elliptical. I will include that in my daily routine now.
Have a great day everyone and let's go get it!1 -
@TeresaW1020 I'm so glad to hear Joe is doing better since the hospital, you both are in my prayers. Take good care of yourself.
@Cornanda Hugs my friend, I hope you're able to reevaluate and figure this out.
I'm behind but wanted to at least drop in. I had my youngest nephew's band concert yesterday so I went to that and got home late then my older nephew had a setback and didn't go to school and was having a panic attack so I rushed over, I was 10 minutes into a workout and pulled my jeans over my workout clothes and headed out. My Mom took over for noontime. I told the holistic pain group I'd be by to drop off something they left in my car moving and bought my curcumin supplement and brought home the wrong one so I had to go back. I took the two that just moved in together a pot of herbs too so I had to get that together. SO I finished my workout and talked to a friend and now I'm in bed with my computer totally exhausted. I'm still having hormone issues switching back to the pill, you'd think after 16 days my body would realize what's going on, if it keeps up I'll have to go back and just get Depo again I guess. It was too cold for me (legs seize up when I'm cold) to have ice cream with everyone last night so aside of the Superbowl I've done great this month, of course I haven't lost anything though!
Oh, the German gardening technique is Huglekulture, you do it in raised beds and put wood at the bottom, then leaves, then grass and potting soil or dirt then your plants. I can't do raised beds so I'm just doing a huglekulture compost pile on a flat area on the hill but I can't be in this much pain to do it because I can barely feel my feet and trip easily. Happy Thursday you amazing awesome people, have a great one!2 -
Pickles!! Has anybody ever read the calories on the label for pickles? Every jar I've bought say's like Zero Calories for 1 - 3 pickles. So, when I'm struggling, and I'm sure you've been right there with me in the kitchen opening every cupboard looking for something, anything at all that won't derail me, I eat pickles. I don't for one second believe they are zero calories because they are cucumbers that have been pickled. But the label say's Zero calories so they can't be too bad for me. I bought some tiny dill spiced pickles with garlic and hot peppers, they are delicious! Is there some calorie removing magic at work here? I always keep a jar in the fridge, for emergencies. I only eat the 1 serving and then my craving's go away. The trick is to stop at one serving, put them back in the fridge and save them for another day. Lol, I ate pickles yesterday.0
