@Dave - Yes, I've been driving with my check engine light on for quite some time. I'm hoping it will burn out so it's easier to ignore.2

@SUFFERLANDRIAN - Right?!? Or maybe put a piece of black electrician's tape over the light...
@ANACONDA469 - Thanks for sharing that! So very true. My wife (out of love and concern, I'm sure) keeps asking me why I'm walking so fast on the treadmill. I tell her that I won't get any stronger or any more fit from just going for a leisurely stroll. I need to break a good sweat. I am careful not to overdo it too quickly though. I have been being very gradual in increasing distance and speed. I'm still not up to the sustained speed I was capable of pre-injury, but I can do short bursts at the end of my workouts. Besides, my knees pretty much hurt more if I don't keep moving them. I can hardly walk at all the day after a rest day so I have to push through some discomfort.

I posted that for me too. Last winter I took a ski lesson. Got it in my head that I couldn't do it. Well I have lost a ton of fitness during the last 2 years of Covid and not riding outdoors. So I have set me a challenge, get my fitness back and then take a Ski or Ride in 5 course for ski lessons. I am determined to learn how and do some sliding down the hill. I am going to accomplish this.....come 7734 or high water.2 -

@ANACONDA469 - That's an awesome goal! Skiing is a blast. I haven't been able to do it for a few years because of my weight and knees and I really miss it. Especially being able to go with my two sons, one a skier and the other a snowboarder. It kills me when I see pictures on Facebook of them going with their new step-dad...GRRRR Have you ever water-skied before? It's not really too difficult. Just get it in your mind that you're going to fall a few times, but it really doesn't hurt that much at all because the snow is soft and for all the padding and cold-weather gear you'll have on. And once you get the hang of it, there's nothing else quite like it! So fun!
I really seem to be racking up the miles quickly early on this month! I'm going on vacation next Tuesday for a week and wasn't sure how much walking I'd get in and originally my surgery was supposed to be 2/21. Now it's 3/1. I'll probably up my goal or just see how much I can crush it. Too bad I can't bank my miles for next month! lol
Dave
Saw this today and got a good chuckle out of it and I'm sure many of you will be able to relate to it as much as I have....

@Dave - it’s good to know that your achey, achey knee solution isn’t too far away. I know you’ll kick the rehab in the @$$. You’ve demonstrated that time and time again.
