No exercise
I went on a lunch date and he talked so much that I didn’t get back home in time to exercise before church. Won’t be seeing him again as we both agreed no chemistry.6 -
Happy Tuesday, Downsizers! Here's my check-in:
2/28:
Calories: 1,191
Exercise: None - recovery day
Steps: 5,937
We are going out to a restaurant tonight for my mother's birthday. I have pre-tracked everything and am planning to stay within my calorie range. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I am seeing a neurologist today for my back. Not sure what they can do but I am not getting my hopes up as I only end up feeling really down when it doesn’t work. I am still waiting for my referral for both the surgeon and the pain clinic. Those will be along wait. I am off for my swim as soon as I get my chili in the crockpot. I will go back and read the messages when I get home from the pool.5 -

Keto question, since I don't know about keto. I have candy with no sugar or aspartame. It has 15g carbs from sugar alcohol. Is that keto? Why or why not pls.0

1. Tell us a little about yourself?
51 yo with 3 adult kids and yes I also have a daughter who won't move out. I am not pushing her either right now. Psycho dog is still here too. We lost Loppie a sweet cat in Dec.
2. Why are you on this journey? What pushed you to start?
Saw pictures from my son's highschool graduation and knew I needed to do something about my size before I lost anymore mobility and my life.
3. What are your triggers and how can you avoid them?
Fatigue, strong emotions of any kind, and boredom. I try to side step them by getting enough rest, aerial yoga, lifting heavy things and keeping busy.
4. Do you have a favourite diet you go by? EM2WL, basically trying to shed the diet mentality. Physique improvement is an ongoing work in progress for your entire life.
5. What is your favourite way to workout?
Lifting, aerial arts, swimming, kayaking, hiking. I think I like the company I have for these activities.
6. What are some of your goals this month? Year?
I hope to walk, paddle, swim, bike or hike 2022 miles this year.
7. What do you expect to gain from the team? Do you have any suggestions?
Comraderie and accountability.4 -

Dexa scan showed that I was an inch shorter than last year. For some reason that really upset me and I had an emotional eating binge. Guess because being an inch shorter meant losing 5 more pounds to be at the ideal weight for my height. So new goal weight is 130 pounds. On a happy note reduced body fat by 6% and visceral fat by 1/3. Now at a healthy visceral and body fat level.5 -

Good evening everyone. I hope you all are ready for hump day.
Check in for 3/1:
Steps - 7912 plus 20 minutes bike. Moderate intensity.
Calories - 1597 or close.
Exercise - gym after lunch. 9 machines, 20 minutes bike. 5.5 miles moderate intensity, walk around the block - 17 minutes. Hate treadmills so walked outside.
I have a Dr. Appt Friday afternoon. Hope he will decide to send a referral for skin removal.4 -

Awesome steps!
@Beautyofdreams
Fantastic loss! I guess losing inches is part of aging but it would be upsetting to learn. That is great news on the body and visceral fat. I looked for a dexa scan place here and I couldn’t find one. There was a body pod but I did research that further.
@rwood566
I hope you get the referral for the skin surgery. I think treadmills are boring even when I used to have music or the tv on.
@tahm42

The neurologist went ok. She did test which just showed what I knew already: I have neuropathy in both legs/feet and nerve issues in my back. She was a little perplexed that I only have symptoms of the neuropathy on the right side. Anyways, the information is being sent to the surgeon. Will it get me in any faster? Nope! I have finally accepted the fact I need a walker if I want to be able to go for a walk or to the mall. No hugs as I am ok with this because I know it will be a temporary thing until I can get back surgery.
On to what I can do, I had a great swim yesterday. I am hoping to get 70 laps today. My legs are a little tire and sore from doing my leg water workout but I can work through that. I plan to do arms, abs and some extra stretching also.
Happy Hump Day!5 -

Great steps! Your are doing well with the sweets. I caved last night when my friend offered me cheesecake at her place last night. At least she made them into mini single servings.2 -

@lindamtuck2018 I gained most of my weight because I am always so busy with work and the humane society that I would eat all three meals out at restaurants (to go or delivery). The habit that has changed for me is I pre-plan my meals for the entire week and I cook everything for myself. That has made the biggest difference for me and it's the key to my success so far. I will definitely continue to do it when I reach my goal weight because I feel so much better eating this way.3 -
@lindamtuck2018 I am on target. it is getting harder with adding lifting again. So yes I am also using all my steps too. Something I didn't want to do but I still move all the miles.
