    Personally I lost less than I had hoped but it seems that a LOT of us had the same problem last week for one reason or another! It's nice to know that we're not alone and that we'll all get there in the end ^_^


    YES! It is particularly important on weeks when the scale does give us the news we want to remember that bio-chemistry is NOT algebra. There are random variables, and cycles of metabolism, and mitigating factors in any weight loss equation that do not appear in quadratic equations.

    So the days when the numbers don't add up in our favor, we must not get discouraged or think about quitting.

    Pidge is absolutely correct. We can all get there in the end. Patience. Diligence. Consistency. And we WILL all get there in time.

    So I have 6 days to lose 2.6 pounds, 2 days of which will be spent in the PA wine country celebrating my anniversary. Maybe if I walk/run the miles between the wineries...

    Congrats Jackie on a great bounce back week. Six pound loss is awesome!

    Givens, good luck on the PA w(h)ineries. You and me bud. As of this morning, I have to lose 3.7 by 10/1. Not sure this month will be reaching that scale goal, but I'll do the best I can, as will you. I know! Ah yes, I know!

    You said it, Dan! In this fight, as long as we do our best, we win. Maybe not this round, but we can always learn from what went right and what went wrong, and come back better prepared for the next round.

    Much better 5 lbs down, than 5 lbs up! Think of it this way; lose 5 lbs per month on average, you have lost 60 lbs in the year. Would you rather be 60 lbs down or exactly where you are next Octber 1?

    Math can be a wonderful thing!

    My scale is dead! Totally dead it just says LO - low battery since that's not a weight and I only weigh in on my scale I must wait till I can get a battery - tonight! I feel good though I worked hard the last few days and I know I am back on track so although I think I gained a few lbs back during my adventures in give up land I know that October will be awesome!

    I drank one full water bottle -4 cups every day this week!

    You guys and gals are such an inspiration and I know October is going to be amazing for us all! Way to go my friends!
