@Meghan509 That sounds like a lovely weekend!
It rained here last night. Wonderful relief from the heat! Since we never made it to the theater, we ordered takeout and watched the new Dr. Strange on Disney plus yesterday. My stray kid was even here, too. He ships out for a 5 year hitch with the Navy in less than a month. His mom is freaking out, so he has been coming to our house a bit more often.
Next couple of days are going to be busy! Have a lovely weekend, all!0 -

@KateNkognito Good, glad you guys got a little relief from the heat! The good news here is we didn't get as much rain as they said we would. Got very little. Darn. LOL Sun and clouds mixed today and lovely weather on tap. Making up my grocery list with yummy chicken to make on the grill this weekend!
Oh we have that Disney Plus too! Good to know as my guy would probably be in to that movie / show that you mentioned. Stray kid. LOL My Mom used to call it "rent a kid" when one of my friends was over often. So exciting for him to be going to the Navy! My Dad is a Navy Vet! He loved it! He was stationed out in Hawaii back in the mid to late 60's during the Vietnam war. He was on a submarine. My Mom loved it out there too. She relaxed on the beach while Dad was on the sub.
They came back to the Northeastern US and had me a few years later. 
Eventually they got divorced in the early 80's but all in all not too shabby of a childhood I might say.
I am excited for my hair cut and highlights tonight. Been a good nine weeks since the last appt and my hair is lookin' a little flat!

Happy Friday! Got my hair cut and highlights last night and our hairdresser (both BF and I see same one) had brought in her doggie! What a little cutie. Small black Chihuahua named Hulk.
This AM is off to a better start already. Work is less busy and I am excited for a pretty weekend.

Happy Monday! The weather is BEAUTIFUL here. I am going to run a few errands today and see if I can get a haircut. Tomorrow I drop my car off at the dealership to get all the recall things fixed. I have known about it for a long time, but we haven't ever had an extra car available until now. Almost done with the quilting on my current one. On the negative side, I have had a terrible headache lately and I just can't get rid of it. Hopefully the chiropractor can fix it.

Working from home today and just saw a bunny popping across the front lawn! So cute!
Had a nice relaxing weekend out on the patio with my honey. Grilled up some steak last night. Delish!
Hope you get some relief for your ongoing headache.

I finished a 42 hour fast! I feel much better than I did. My tummy is all straightened out. Still have a bit of a headache, but that is allergies and all the changing weather.

Working from the office today. Traffic was kind, which is good. Had to be in for a 9:00am call sigh... Managed to leave the house earlier than planned and got in with plenty of time to spare. Phew.

Managed to get up a little earlier again today and as a result, left the house earlier. Been making all the difference with traffic!

@Meghan509 I am glad traffic has been better. Sorry it involves getting up early.
I am fasting again today. We'll see how long it goes. I will either do 36 hours, or 16 and then another 20. The longer fast isn't as bad as I thought it would be. But I am having a lot of trouble with using leftovers. Normally, there's a little bit of something left on a feast day, so I throw it in my meal on the fast day or the next feast day. But now I have lots of little bits that are going to be old by the time I use them. Hmm. Will have to figure out how to use them up.

36 hour fast. I am going to get my haircut today. My husband got his first tomatoes, so I am going to stop at the store on the way back to get bacon for BLTs. Have a great day!0

Thursday is the new Friday! LOL Looking forward to a day off tomorrow and our trip upstate. Are you able to start the July thread for us, @KateNkognito ? I am going to be running around tomorrow so I might not be able to log in for a post.
