Our car was supposed to be ready yesterday...still is not done. I had to cancel my workout today. UGH!!!
I don't know how hot it will be when we finally get home...maybe I'll be able to walk...we'll see.

No walking yesterday, but I did get 7.07 miles done in 137 mins around noon today. Went up past the water tanks.

No walking today. Headache all day long plus a very sore, bloody toe. Shoes would not be fun.

Chris that is awful. No car and a sore toe! I hope things got better.

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July. Working on my garden bed. This one was taken out years ago to put in a play set for the grand babies. Now putting it back.

Sirens are going nuts tonight. I hope nothing serious

Rocky and I went riding this evening. He was crossing in front of me and almost got hit. Crazy lady just came barreling through. Didn't even slow down. Barney was flung out due to the sudden stop. His clip broke! He is fine now. He came to Rocky and got back on. Other cars were stopped. People are nuts.

To hot most of the day here.

There were no July4th fireworks scaring us this year... for the first time in decades or even ever. It feels so gratifying for people to finally realize the danger. Maybe being evacuated by forest fires helped it sink in. Or having PGE regularly shut down electricity due to the danger. It's a new awareness. <3

My sciatica is (fingers crossed) almost nonexistent today, for the first time in a couple months. Still not up to walking though. My left knee is still real wonky. I know it needs to be replaced. Just not mentally prepared yet.

Shelley, I hope Rocky and Barney are okay. So scary. And maddening.

Shelley, I hope the boys are okay. Crazy!
Paula, glad your sciatica is better. I have to be really careful of my knees. :'(
We had fireworks until after midnight last night. :o
Did I tell you guys, yet...Sara and Pete and Ronan are expecting Little Boy #2 in November!!
Got 6.12 miles done in 118 mins this morning. It was nice out there. Warm in the sun but the clouds made it nice.

Paula we had lots of nut cases firing off fireworks into the night. So glad to hear some are not. Glad to hear you are doing better. That being said, get your knee replaced. Not getting any younger so hop to it. :p

Chris you have mentioned it. But I never tire of hearing you are going to be a grandma again. Wonderful.

Thanks for all the concern for my guys. They are well. Work was hectic today. Then Commissioner meeting. Our elected officials gave themselves huge raises this year. While most are facing tighter budgets! I so am not voting for any of them. Seems some areas around my yard had a slight decrease in ear wigs tonight. The one clematis was still covered. I realize that daddy long legs eat them. Noticed an increase in their numbers. And they are actively hunting them!

    15 pushups this morning.

Chris - hope your toe is on the mend! So excited about the new kiddo! The fall will be here before you know it.

Paula - so glad to hear about your back....sciatica impacts everything.

Fireworks were insane here. Like a war zone. I just don't understand it. Such an impact on veterans and pets. Littlr Ollie was a mess with the cone on his head from surgery recovery...he goes back to the vet Thursday.....3 weeks since his surgery. Hoping he can get it off and be reunited with his brothers.

Work has been so tough....people are just burnt out on life I think.....my energy has been low also.

    Highest weight ever: 306 (2013)
    Ultimate goal weight: 160

    7/6 - 169.8
    July goal - 165

I want to really focus in July. The good news is Jim has decided he needs to get it together also. He's up about 20 pounds and is unhappy about it. He's been keeping us too stocked up with wine! I've pulled back a lot on it. But he's been drinking too much...all goes to the belly. We agreed no wine runs this month. Trust me we have lots of other alcohol (all low carb 😃)

Work for both of us has been so tough. Challenging time to lead people.

We are off from the 14th - 23.....no real plans...Bella should be starting her summer job at a 55 ans over (she needs so many medical tests...taking FOREVER). I'm not getting on a plane with all of this craziness. Since we don't know her schedule yet, we are hoping some day trips will suffice. Too much financial this year with the basement, roof and the cat!!

Hope everyone has a great Wed....going to be a hot one. I better get out and walk now!

Today was my father’s 87th birthday. We had a gathering at my house. Also my sister and her husband returned to Dubai today. As usual I cried when my sister left. It was a nice family dinner!

Kathy that is so sentimental. You have a wonderful family. You are going to make your goal this month!

Chris that is to funny. Now you just have to watch for the deliveries. So much fun.

Karen I sure hope she gets all her testing done before school resumes. Fingers crossed for good results. Ditch the alcohol. Empty calories that are not needed. It does look sophisticated though. And such pretty glasses.

Paula are you checking into getting your knee done? Hope so. Have at least 15 bags of ice ready. It helped Rocky tremendously.

Still killing earwigs nightly. I am off next week. Not sure if I am doing much. Need to finish a garden project. Open a bank account to deposit all this money I am entrusted with. Thinking of painting a guest bedroom. Have to remove the popcorn ceiling first. My house will be officially free of the stuff then. 150.8 this morning. I am shooting to be under 150 by vacation end.

Shelley- I'm off next Thursday and Friday into the following week. Nothing special planned either since we are waiting for Bella's work schedule. I do hope to do organizing and tasks + some fun. I do want to exercise each day!

Chris - the Amazon guy knows my name...embarrassing lol. Happy gifting! I know they will appreciate it.

Kathy - glad you had a nice family dinner 😀

I'm taking my friend Tracy out tonight to celebrate a belated 50th birthday dinner. Lower key...thats now she rolls. Dinner at a nice Italian place and then going to see the Elvis movie. Will be good to cath up with her.

I did relaxing yoga last night...great class...and was relaxing!

Hope today is a great Friday!

Karen, Amazon guy knowing your name is so funny!!
Shelley, I am so excited!! Just want to order all of it for her...okay...for them.
Kathy, sounds like dinner was great and leaving for home was sad. Sending love.
Today is our 39th Anniversary. We've been together 43 years...and he's still alive...damn!! We are doing NOTHING!!!
I did do 60 mins w/my trainer this afternoon. Going to walk to the post office tomorrow.
    That's it for now!

Did 6.28 miles in 117 mins yesterday to the post office and back. Might do that again today, too...depends on the sunshine and my hurt toe.
    Back later.

Did it!! 6.14 miles in 115 mins...sunshine, hot, breeze part way. Left the house later than I wanted but Pat needed to drop off something at UPS and I didn't want to leave Bean by himself. He is already sad cuz his people have been gone a long time in dog time.
Now I'm going to read. Must finish this Reacher book and start a different author's new series. ;)

Karen I do hope you make a list of those things. Then cross them off. I have some concrete work I want to do. I don't think the Amazon guy knows my name. But he knows hubby's! And some weeding. And lots of spending time with Rocky. We were married July 15, 1979. I also am going to wrk out daily.

Chris have a great time shopping with Amazon. They will know your name also. B) Two little boys. So much fun. Save some money for their first vehicle though. :D

Weeding this morning. Then bike riding with Rocky, Barney and Libby. Breakfast and a trip up the mountain. A cement truck had flipped onto it's side. Was mostly empty and no one was hurt. Very lucky. We went for a walk. Met the neighbor. Nice man. Our cabin plans were approved. Almost $900 for the permit. Foundation with backhoe rental will be around $1200. No idea what the rest will cost. Lot's of deer out today.

My Tai Chi class was yesterday. It looks slow and simple but it really does work a sweat.

I tried this month's video last week and was just thinking [wow, maybe I can do this] when she said, "Okay, now that we're warmed up..." Oops! :D

Chris, Your walk sounds great. Hope your hot/breeze sunshine is as nice there as it is here.

Shell, Good luck with your cabin. It sounds exciting!

Glad nobody was hurt in the cement truck. A driver was killed here a few years ago when he rolled one over into a gulley.

Karen, Thanks!! Yeppy, yep! But Shelly has me beat by four years.
Paula, it's pretty hot here today. Hit 100 degrees. Tomorrow is only supposed to get to 93 degrees...we'll see.
Shelley, it was a blast!! Need to buy more!! The baby's first onsie came today. So cute. Looking for a matching shirt for Ronan.
Got 60 mins workout done w/my trainer this afternoon then took Bean home.

Chris I hope your anniversary was fun. And so glad you let him survive it. Not sure if mine will. He just won't sit still. I don't mind him keeping busy. But don't know where his crazy idea that I should also came from. o:)

And Chris I hope these clothes are in more than one size. You might need to buy one larger ones. Muahaha

Paula that was a horrible accident. Them large vehicles can be dangerous. I am glad you liked your tai chi class. I did it years ago. It was lots of fun. And the warm up and cool downs are now my favorite workouts.

Got in a bike ride this evening. Finished weeding in one bed. Then put green down. Went to the band to set up an account. But I needed the minutes from our last meeting and a few other things. Then I found out that the last account is tied up in probate. That is nuts. Maybe it was never in the covenants name! I will try to get to the bottom of it.

Shelley, having so much fun with her registry. And it's PRIME DAY!!!
No walking today. Our housekeeper came today and I had to clean up before she got here...then it was too hot!

Chris I would clean before a housekeeper arrived also! You are having so much fun. What are you getting big brother Ronan? I bet he is excited .

I watched over the baby bunny a lot today. With Sara locked in the house. We gently placed it in the outer yard about 15 feet from where we saw a rabbit. I later saw said rabbit leaving my corner garden bed. The baby was in the wrong bed! I went and looked. I located its nest in short order. The rabbit had burrowed under some irises. So I went and retrieved baby and placed it by the entrance. It immediately went inside. I covered the den with the material laying there. Then laid some string over it. Several hours after I checked on it. String was moved. So either momma returned, baby left or something bad happened. Sara is still grounded.

I finished weeding 3 of my smallest beds today. Then put green on them and watered it in. They look so nice. 8 down and 6 more to go. Two will be easy. One has some nasty ants in it. They always swam me. Going to get all ninja on them! Two have so many perennials in them I might have to wait. I need to thin some out. I have two hibiscus to plant still. And one clematis.

Earwigs are severely cut back. Switched to larger traps. Working well. Got an estimate on the floor joists for the cabin. It is going to be a nice retreat.
