I totally have lost track of time yall and forgot to weigh in this morning. I will be back on track next week. This holiday stuff has had me so messed up lately

@Armygirlarmyof1 Go ahead and weigh in tomorrow morning and report it...no worries...happens all the time. Let me know. I've done it myself once in a while, especially if I'm rushing to get ready for work...

    Hi everyone

Thank you for having me :)

    SW: 161 lbs
    GW: 142 lbs

I was with MFP back in 2019, after I had my son and had some excess weight to lose. I believe I started at 184 lbs and got down to 133 lbs. I remember feeling good at my new weight, but it soon crept back on and I’m up to 161 lbs.

My goals for January: track my food daily, and get out for a short walk everyday. This is what helped me last time.

My weigh-in day is Friday. I’m looking forward to chatting with/supporting you all :)

Hi! I just signed up for my first ever fitness pal group and then was assigned to Shape Shifters for the January Challenge. Glad to be here! Am I supposed to sign up for a step challenge? I already found the weigh in sheet and the habit tracker? Anything else I should know? Do we share our logged meals or anything?

    Hi @jessicakrall8

Could I please join the step challenge?

    MFP Name: Kodakslim
    First Name: April

I wouldn’t call it my favourite place to walk, but i feel comfortable walking round my block. It takes me around 30 minutes.

    Daily step goal: 5000

I know it’s not much, but admittedly, I’ve been very inactive for a long time, so I’m starting small.

I’ve dug out my Fitbit again, charged it up and it’s ready to go!

Please add me to January step challenge. I really don't have a favorite place to walk since in SE Wisconsin it's winter, ice, snow, rain, cold - I usually get my steps in walking around the house, riding my recumbent bike and workouts - I bowl in a league on Tuesdays
I have a fitbit and usually do challenges with a couple of friends

Hi! So excited to be here. I’ve been on/off MFP for over 10 years. I struggle with binging/restriction, but have been working on moderation and sustainable changes since July and am down 43 lbs. Hit a plateau the past month (holidays) and looking to gain support/motivation. I’m excited to travel with just my husband this week for the first time since having my last baby (3 years ago) so it should be interesting. I have a history of getting derailed when out of my routine and am eager to have this challenge to keep me accountable. Thanks for including me!

Hi @messycreator and welcome to the team!! We're glad you found us! Take a few minutes and go back to page one of this chat thread and read our FAQ file. I think it will answer most of your questions. If not, just post and we'll get back to you. The habit tracker, you can keep on your own, but the weigh-in sheet is managed by me, so just post your weigh-ins each week on the day of week you chose, in the chat thread following the format you'll see in the FAQ file and I will take care of updating the chart. If you want to join the step challenge, follow the instructions in the FAQ file, post your request in the chatroom, your first name for the chart and tell me your daily step goal and your favorite place to walk this time of year and I'll get you registered.

Again, welcome...look forward to watching you hit your goals each week! Take care and good luck in January!

Hello everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season!!! We celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve and I worked 12 1/2 hours on Christmas. Ive been working a ton lately because we are short staffed and no one wants to come in and pick up shifts so its been me and my 70 year old co worker picking up the slack, ugh. But coming into the new year I want to step back a smidge and work on getting back into my workouts.

Hope everyone is doing well! Recovering from the flu has been much slower than I'd like. I start to feel better and have tried to get out for a walk a few times but my energy is not 100% yet and still congested. Yesterday had a bit of a relapse so took it easy yesterday and today. Hoping to feel good enough to get back to my 3 mile walks soon!

I hope you feel better soon @ac204. I’ve been hearing how scarce some of the medication has become due to all the cases of flu, winter colds, etc. Sorry to hear you’ve had lingering symptoms but it’s good you recognized them coming on and got some rest.

I’ve enjoyed the pictures and stories — Thanks for sharing!

@Pupowl - You really are the neighborhood heroine! I’m glad you were able to respond to your neighbor in distress — again!!

    Here’s my weekly weigh-in report:

    Name: PatriceFitnessPal
    Weigh-in day: Thursday
    PW: 131.5
    CW: 132.8

    SW: 168
    LTD: 35.2

I made a pumpkin pie because I wanted to use up a can of pumpkin that’s been in my pantry for awhile and the recipe calls for buttermilk. That wouldn’t be too bad except I think I’m the only one eating the pie 🙄!

@jessicakrall8, WI this morning was 217.0. Pw was 216.8. I guess not too bad for the holidays but having little ppl in the house was lots of exercise time.
