Good morning,
I must say that January and February went by fast!
I forgot how "fun" cleaning off a car with snow is. UGH. We don't have a garage, so we do the best we can. The weather reports and local news totally didn't say it was going to be ICE on the car. Took forever but luckily I was on time to work and traffic was not that bad. Time for spring yet?!

Took me a minute to figure out where all the replies went for this month's thread. I kept writing the wrong day on student passes all day, too.
@Meghan509 We had two requirements when buying a house: two bathrooms and a garage. I spent a lot of years scraping windshields.
Got a lot of stuff done today. All caught up on grades.

@KateNkognito Oh, I am envious of your garage! An extra bathroom is nice too. I grew up in a house with one (we eventually got a second one down the road) but you definitely have to plan ahead! LOL Right now we have one. But it is just BF and I. It works. When we have house guests it is "different" but since it is a small house with lots of character we get by.
Yep, I wear a watch (yes, I am old school) every single day that has the date on it. I walked around all day yesterday with the 29th and it didn't occur to me until I put it on this morning that today is the 2nd. Oops. Had to move the calendar a month too. Silly short months!
Not a lot happening here that is exciting. Just work and getting ready for my trip down to Florida on Sunday AM. Going to start packing tomorrow so I am not rushing around last minute. Weather has been good in Florida too I hear. Sunny and 80's. Looking forward to seeing my family!!

Funny you had Chinese. Last night I was having a hankering for it! Almost mentioned in to BF but instead we had pasta with my homemade sauce, which was good. Our favorite local Chinese place had a fire recently, so we had to go to a different one last weekend. It was still good but not the same! I love Chinese food!
Got through yesterday okay. Had a good productive day and traffic played nice. Home today.
Can't believe I fly out on Sunday AM. Looking forward to it! Spoke to my family last night and they said it is very WARM there. LOL Bring it on! Rain tonight here, no accumulation or anything.
Should be able to get out of town and back without any weather hiccups!

Friday! Made it through and there are only 4 alarms next week! My sister-in-law is in town for the weekend. Going through things at my in-laws house. Makes me want to become a minimalist, just so my kids don't have to go through so much stuff! Have a great weekend!1

So far, so good! Dinner with my husband and his sister last night at Olive Garden, good night's sleep, yummy breakfast, walked the dog in the sunshine and lovely weather. Plus, my youngest is sick with the sore throat thing I had a couple of weeks ago, so he is quiet. Have a great weekend! 0

Checking in live from my Dad's house in Florida. Flew down yesterday and the flight was a tiny bit delayed for a maintenance issue, but in the end I only landed 30 minutes later than I was supposed to. Not bad.
Sunny and 83 F here at the moment. Been in a bit of a heat wave lately my family has said. Working remotely today and tomorrow so I can try and conserve some vacation time but still spend time. Working out great so far.
Glad you are going to have some time off, @KateNkognito! Yes, I hear you about minimalism! Cleaning out my Mom and Step Dad's condo was fun! And this is after they had already downsized. Phew.
My Dad looks good and is still feeling pretty good. Having a nice relaxing visit so far. He seems in good spirits and at peace with all that is going on. Today a nurse is here giving him a massage. What a nice thing to offer patients!

By the way, I teach science and the hardest part of today's lesson was teaching the difference between states and cities and how to make a city on the weather map.

One more work day then vacation! Going well so far. Little busier than I expected today but that's okay. Getting work done which is good.
Making a turkey chili tonight for my family for dinner. They are excited and I am too.

Today is better. Louder, but better. Thinking dinner tonight will be taco Tuesday. Tomorrow I am staying late-ish to get all my grades in so I can have Friday off! Woo hoo! Two more alarms! In case anyone is wondering, teachers sleep all spring break. Then spend the last weekend cleaning our houses so the health department doesn't intervene.0

I am enjoying my time with my family a lot! Yesterday we took a ride through the Ft Myers beach area. We also saw my nephew play in a soccer game and win, last night!

Going well here. Had a good time with my sister and step mom having lunch and shopping yesterday.
Today has been another sunny day so spent a good chunk outside and got a little color!
We are about to have my sister and her family here for dinner tonight. Looking forward to it. Tomorrow afternoon I fly home. Planning to come back again in early May.

I am just hanging out, picking up chicks. One of them likes to stand on top of the heater and scream until you pick her up. The others have started doing it, too.

Good morning!
Back home in CT. Flight back on Saturday was delayed by a couple hours and the TV's didn't work! Got to love Jet Blue. I love having the TV. I get bored on planes! They gave me a credit of $15 for the TV issue. I will take it. I will put the credit towards my trip in May. All good.
Nice to visit with family but nice to be home too. Settling back in to my routine here. Working from home today. Rain and snow coming tonight in to tomorrow but looking like it will just be a rainy mix here. If it is bad I will stay home. Fingers crossed because I don't mind another day at home!
Those chicks are sooo stinking cute, @KateNkognito! I love how they are showing their personalities! LOLOL Enjoy your spring break! Saw quite a few kiddos on the plane back so lots of peeps doing spring break. My nephew is off this week too, down in FL.
Hoping to plan our May trip back down there shortly.

Today we have a rain and snow mix happening here. North and south of us are getting snow! Not us! Such a strange storm. I am glad I decided to come in to the office today because it really is not doing much of anything weather wise. All good with me!! With a lot of people remote it means easy quiet day for me! Woo hoo!
Booked my next trip to Florida in May to see my Dad. I will be there for my birthday.
In September my Aunt invited us to use her home in coastal Maine. Looking forward to that already!

Productive day. Painted the framing for the chicken run. Lots of sunshine and fresh air.
Our dog decided to sniff all the wet paint. Good thing he gets a haircut and bath tomorrow!

Back to nicer weather here today. We literally got just rain and a snow mixture yesterday which amounted to zero accumulation and a little ice on the car and on the steps today. No big deal at all for us. Got to love the news, making a big deal out of everything.
Hopefully this is one of the last snow "storms" we have to deal with. Fingers crossed. Currently 35 degrees F and partly sunny. Can't believe it is mid March already!!!
LOL at the doggie, @KateNkognito got to love dogs! Nosey but cute! Keep me posted on how the chickens turn out. If I had a little more of a private yard I would consider them too! We love our fresh eggs.
Not much else going on here. At the office and having a productive day so far.

Tomorrow evening we are heading to my BF's parents house to celebrate his Dad's 88th birthday. His brother and wife and kids are in town from Arizona. Sure to be a nice time!

We had a nice dinner with my BF's family on Friday evening. It was his Dad's 88th birthday and his brother and family were in town from AZ. Nice company and meal.
Working remotely today and hoping for what should be a pretty quiet week. LOTS of my folks are traveling so hoping to get nice and caught up and just ride the wave to the weekend. LOL

Today was a nice first day back. I am tired though. This whole getting up before the sun thing is not my style. My dog slept in for an extra 4 hours! Definitely early to bed.

Good, glad yesterday went well @KateNkognito. Yep, I know what mean. I am feeling pretty tired here today as well. Sigh... Stupid hormones are NOT helping today either.
Recently at the office I had to place a service call the refrigerator repair people because our fridge in our downstairs floor was acting up and flickering the lights on and off when you opened the door. Wouldn't you know when the tech came today, it wasn't doing it?! Pretty much as soon as he left it did it again. UGH. I tired to record it via my smartphone and caught the tail end. Do the best we can! Hopefully someone else can capture it. Murphy's law. LOL
The good news about today is the work day is almost over. Looking forward to getting home soon and enjoying the last bit of a nice and 56 degree F sunny day!

My bestie best friend is in town this evening and another friend of mine is also meeting us for dinner. I accidentally introduced them through a messenger app. They have "known" each other for years, but this is their first in person meeting. Gotta love the virtual world!
@Meghan509 Isn't that just the way?! Never fails that when you call someone to fix something it works just fine. (Mostly my husband and my car)

I had no idea what I was doing with my students today on the way to work except that we were definitely going outside. It was 75 and gorgeous! They had a wonderful time!
We had a fantastic time at dinner last night. Our waitress was amazing and made it even more fun!
