Good morning!
I forgot to check in yesterday! Bah. I like to at least try and come in once per day during the week.
@KateNkognito sounds like you had a lovely dinner with your BFF's! How nice! Yes, it is great when you have a good waitress! It can make the meal even better! 75 degrees and gorgeous!! I am jelly. LOL
Been super warm here too. Mid 50's at least during the day if not more. Supposed to get some rain on Saturday which may give us the excuse that we should stay in and watch Netflix and relax!
The silly fridge is a PAIN IN MY BUTT! The guy came and could not find anything wrong with it. It wasn't doing the flashy blinky lights when you open the door, nada. Half an hour after he leaves, wouldn't you know it does it again!! The tech said to try and get it on video. I ran back to my desk to get my phone and by the time I got it recording it had pretty much stopped. This morning my coworker recorded flashing lights on the outside where the ice maker is. I don't know... Sigh. Guess I will need to place another call for next week.
I am looking forward to a haircut and highlights after work tonight. My hair is feeling so lifeless lately. Been nine weeks since my last appointment. I try and be a little cost conscious and book it out a little further than in the past, but I pay the price fighting with my hair to do ANYTHING!
Hope you have a nice day and a good Friday Eve! See you soon.0 -
@Meghan509 Enjoy your haircut! It always feels nice to have a fresh hairdo. One of these days I am going to get mine done.
Today was good. I am tired, but it was good. Going to make some chicken breasts. Not sure if the will turn into tacos or go with mashed potatoes and gravy. Either way, I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Friday!0 -
Good morning!
Thank you @KateNkognito I enjoyed my hair cut a lot! It was also nice to see my hairdresser. Her and I have known each other since 1998, when I first set foot in to her old salon! Jeez, how time flies! She is a super nice lady and my BF gets his hair cut by her too! She's in her 60's now and is trying to slow down a little but not retire yet thankfully!
We were catching up and I was telling her about my Dad's cancer and of course she made me cry. Sigh... Not her fault. Lots on my mind lately.
Hope you enjoyed your chicken meal last night. Sounds delish!!
Supposed to rain all day tomorrow so we have decided to stay in and make a nice pesto pasta dish together for dinner. We like doing that. Going to run out mid day to pick up a few ingredients.
Going to get back to work now. Hope you have a great day and a nice weekend. See you soon!0 -
@Meghan509 I have a lady that is the same age as I am so that by the time she is ready to retire, I can just let my hair grow out for the rest of my life!
It is sunny and gorgeous here. I am going to clean and the menfolk are finishing the chicken pen. The girls are getting big and feisty. Hopefully the weather warms up so they can go outside for a bit pretty soon.
Have a great weekend!0 -
Good morning!
@KateNkognito Too funny regarding your hair dresser! Love it! Mine also said that her daughter is expecting a baby, at just shy of 40 if I am not mistaken! She had been trying for a while and tried IVF. Good for them!
Glad you had a nice sunny Saturday! We had a rainy one but Sunday was beautiful! Just a tad too windy to be outside for too long. Pretty day on tap for today too.
I may or may not have to report for jury duty this Thursday! Bah! Keep fingers crossed for me. I won't know until I call the night before. UGH.
Have a good day and a nice week again. See you soon!0 -
I swear I commented yesterday. Senility is not my friend.
By the way, standardized state testing is why teachers need beverages.
My son has his first track meet today. Super excited! The weather is cool, but not too bad.
Have a great rest of the week!1 -
Happy Tuesday!
LOL I know what you mean, @KateNkognito happens to me often!
Today is a later post for me because it has been ONE OF THOSE days. Started with an accident on the highway this morning, and then progressed in to a LONG commute because of the said accident. Then just busy, busy, busy.
So short post for me. Just wanted to say hello and hope the rest of the day goes well. See you soon!0 -
Good morning!
Can you BELIEVE that Saturday is April 1?!
Hope your day is going well. Today is going MUCH better than yesterday. I wrote out my to do list and honestly just knowing what I have to get done and being able to prioritize is very helpful for stress levels.
Traffic was kind today. Phew.
If you have a moment, please say a positive word for me that I don't have to show up tomorrow for Jury Duty! LOL First I was like, yeah I will take it if it means not having to be at work for the day. Hopefully I show up but then have the rest of the day off blah blah blah. But now I am just not feeling it. Too much work needs to be done at the office and I just don't feel like sitting there waiting... Fingers crossed! I have to call tonight at 5:30pm to see if I need to appear.
Have a good day and see you soon!!!0 -
Prayers for no jury duty! March has been a... strange month. My son did really well at his track meet yesterday. Took 40 seconds off his personal recor for the mile. Today I am home with a bad headache. I think it's dehydration and allergies. I had to go in for the first couple of classes to make sure that technology would behave for the lesson I have today. Thought I might make it, but the lights were killing me. Have a great end of the week!0

Good morning!
NO JURY DUTY FOR ME!!! WHOOT! LOL I checked yesterday afternoon and they confirmed all set. Phew!
Managed to get to work with traffic but still on time or a little early via a more scenic route that shaved off five minutes. Five minutes! Argh. LOL
Hope your headache and allergies are better today, @KateNkognito. I know my guy has been suffering as well. For him a lot of sneezing and stuffiness that comes on for what seems like no reason, or when we open the front door and he takes a deep breath. LOL
Looking forward to retirement luncheon today for a colleague. Hope you have a good Thursday. See you soon!0 -
Sounds like a good day, @Meghan509 ! Today is much better than yesterday. Part of the reason I went home was because I irrationally snapped at a student and decided I didn't want to lose my job. I am much calmer today.
Have a great Friday Eve!1 -
Good morning!
Happy Friday! WOO HOO!
Thursday was busy but good. Had a nice lunch for a retiring colleague and had a good productive day.
Nice to be working remotely today!!
Sorry to hear about your little outburst, @KateNkognito LOL I can so relate!
Funny story that happened to me a while back. I had a pain in the butt European gentleman who I was working with at the time. I have always worked with a few senior execs in my Assistant roles (vs. one senior person) and he was one of my execs at the time. He was bugging me over and over about something and I had had enough! So I said: "You think I am sitting here filing my nails in between requests from you"! He was not pleased with my comment but he backed off. LOL I think that is the only time I have snapped at someone. I told my coworkers at the time and they were like, "no way, you said that"?! LOLOL
Hope you have a good day and a great weekend. See you soon! Tomorrow is April 1 - Happy April Fools! I will try to remember to log in and start the new monthly thread tomorrow. If not go for it.0 -
Crazy busy day. But not bad. Almost done! Going to have pizza and tv and sleep!
@Meghan509 If that is all you said, then you are a very patient person! Most of the time I am ok, but sometimes I just have no more patience. It is especially true if I have already said something multiple times. I can educate ignorance, but I don't handle stupid very well.
I will try to rythat tomorrow is April and start the new thread. Have a lovely weekend!1
