60 & Over Serious & Ready Out of to Regain Control!!
I'm starting slowly. This week I will make sure that I drink enough water so that I don't mistake thirst for hunger.

Cat is this typical for the procedure you had? If so, when do you expect improvement? Fingers are crossed that this passes quickly. <3

Not typical. 1% of the people who have iridotomy for glaucoma are able to see the hole the laser drills in your iris. I am the 1%. Hopefully, my brain adapts over time and learns to ignore the fuzzy black spot in my field of vision. In the meantime, I am eating Tylenol for the headache it causes.

It’s not always good to be special. The brain is amazingly plastic, and it will adapt. I hope it happens quickly.

I wish my plastic brain would adapt to make me love exercise and only want to eat things that are good for me in small portions 😂😂😂😂

Cat I hope you continue to improve and your eyesight improves. I have been diagnosed with cataracts but i am just being monitored.
Randi i hope you manage to drink more water and keep on task.

I have been struggling but ai to start a 28 day walking challenge, starting today but I refuse to pay for it so adapting ones I have seen and using one on you tube for inspiration as it is only a 5 x 1 minute exercise walk you can do in the home and you can make it as easy or hard as you want but I have to do something more to keep active.

So day 1 , 2 minute walking, 1 minute side steps, 1 minute lifting legs alterate, 1 minute forwards backwards.

It's worth a try at least.

    Have a good day

Ann Liz, I am joining your challenge. I keep porking up and am back to the weight I said I would NEVER be again. Exercise is the key for me. I keep using the excuse that I am too tired all the time, but tired is better than dead and that is where I am
Headed if I don’t straighten up and get my act together.
I did so much better when Gerri was on here bossing us all around and issuing weekly challenges. Wish she would come back.
    Hey Randi- where are you????

I'm still here but haven't had anything new or uplifting to report. Let's all do Ann's challenge. Ann, you are more than welcome to give us instructions.
"...am back to the weight I said I would NEVER be again." Yep, me too. :'(

    Ok then
    Day 1
2 minute times stepping ( do mine to a TV programme and try to do it with moving my arms bending up from the elbows like I am like lifting weights to my chest ( if you can't do 2 mi uses then do 1 and do the other at the end)
Then go on to 1 minute taking 2 steps to the side then back to the middle then 2 steps to the other side repeat
Next march lifting your knees up and down again get those arms working for that minute
Finish 1 minute stepping forwards them backwards gain moving those arms.

Try to eat some fruit today and set yourselves a water goal to stick towards mine is to drink 8 glasses of water a day.

    Good luck

I did my chsllenge, Ann. Years ago, i used a video called Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. It was pretty painless and I muted the TV and played Motown music. Your challenge reminded me of that. I lost 10 pounds with Leslie before I got lazy and stopped doing it

The eye specialist I see is 2 hours away, so tomorrow will be a road trip. I hope she can give me some hope about getting rid of these headaches while I wait on my eyes to adjust to the holes. My husband is driving me, so there will be lunch in a nice restaurant. I will try to be good.
