Karen Bella looks all grown up. And full of confidence. Great job pulling off a last minute prom. You look really slim in that photo! Nice going. I am planning on retiring in 25. I will be 65 then.

Kathy she is doing well. Thanks for asking. I hope you are keeping with the planks.

Chris I actually am a natural at the shooting range. I don't even use my sights. I am constantly being told that I should use them. That I could then join in competitions. Nopey nope, I don't need the stress of competing. I do know that the right holster makes all the difference. MIne has 3 retentions to keep folks from taking it from me. Sits low on my hip for fast draws. And fits my hand perfectly.

Still doing my pushups in the mornings. Went to dinner with friends last night. My pants are fitting me better. I think the pushups are adding muscle. Great feeling.

    Highest weight: 248
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 148
    April 31 Goal weight: 166.2

    March 31 ending weight - 170.2
    Apr 1 - 171.2. 🤷🏽‍♀️
    Apr 4 - 170.6
    Apr 11 - 171.8 (2 days late)
    Apr 20 - 169.4
    Apr 25 - 170.8
    Apr 31 - 171.2

Didn’t reach my goal. May is my birthday month and the next to last week in June will be my girl’s trip to Aruba. I have double incentive. My sister is going to stay with mom. I will be working on being at least mid160s or lower by the end of June. 💪🏾

The important thing is my clothes are definitely looser and I bought a dress and can wear a size M. Can’t remember when that has happened. 😀

    Kathy

I just saw this Kathy. Congratulations on the dress. And going to Aruba sounds wonderful. You enjoy your trip and have a Happy Birthday.

Hand raised. Also in the "struggling" club. Also, haven't done Chris' workouts yet. Ahhh...

Bella is gorg. So glad she'll have the dance experience to remember. She sounds so together.

Glad y'all got rid of the nasty gallbladders. Mine's still fine I guess, never noticed it.

Kathy, Congrats on the M, what a great thing to sneak up on you.

I took a face plant the other night and ended up with scratches but nothing broke. I was sneaking in the dark to scope out my neighbor's yard, cuz (long story short) he'd called me and was afraid of looters - didn't see any though.

    Take care,
    Paula

PAULA!!! Please, no face planting!! That is my job!! I am glad you are okay. That is so not fun.
Had Collin Duty yesterday. Got into a heated discussion w/SIL. I go over and help w/Collin so he can train his clients in his garage gym. He handed me Collin, made like he was going to work, and ended up in the back yard picking up dog poop because the gardener was there. I was mad. I felt like he tricked me into coming an hour and a half before he really needed me. EGADS, MAN!! By the time I stopped by Nick's niche, (someone removed is whirligig from his flower vase :'( ), and dropped off three boxes of books at the Antioch library, I was so unmotivated to get out there and walk. I just sat and read the rest of the day...even tho it was a BEAUTIFUL out there...sigh.
On a much happier note...Sara got a letter from the department that handles the dissertation she wrote to earn her EDD. She thought the letter was going to be a notice that they were going to remove her dissertation from the "List". Instead it was $$$ because her dissertation had been requested and sold so many times that she earned some $$$. She said her dissertation is available around the world!!! I am so proud of that kid! Crazy stuff!! She had no idea!
Okay, SORRY FOR THE LONG POST... :*:*
    Love you guys!

Paula while going to help was so sweet, it is also dangerous. That is law enforcements duty. You ended up with stitches. It could have been so much worse if there had been looters there. Did you at least have something to defend yourself with? You are seriously making me worry. No more stitches girlfriend.

Chris I have always wished I could have been able to retire and watch the grandkids. I also know that it always ends with feelings of being taken advantage of at times. And no way to get revenge. But you can vent here anytime. Glad you gave him a piece of your mind. Sorry about whirligig.

But so happy for Sara. That is so awesome. Proud momma time.

I got in 15 push-ups this morning. Getting easier all the time.

    Hey Shelley,

Sorry I gave you the wrong impression. I just tripped in my own yard walking to the fence to look down the hill into the neighboring property. Didn't approach anyone, not even close. There's 30-40 yards, trees and a cliff between the two properties. And no stitches, just scratches. ((hugs))

Shelley and Paula, the first time I read Paula's comment, I read "stitches", too! Crazy! No falling down for anybody!!!
Ronan had t-ball today, so I walked to the playing field...only 1.90 miles...boy-howdy, it was hot!! Supposed to get to 90 degrees this afternoon. :# I'm going to walk much earlier tomorrow. The high tomorrow is supposed to be 86...no clouds...wind at 6 mph. It should be nice, I hope.

Happy Mother’s Day ladies. Enjoy!!! I’m having a brunch for mom today. A lot of my family will be here.

Need to get back with healthy eating and exercise tomorrow. Really struggling and not feeling well. Even my vacation next month is not giving me incentive right now. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had Collin Duty this morning then walked 6.72 miles in 123 mins to the post office and back because my trainer is in Tennessee for her son's college graduation and I need to get rid of about 20 pounds!!!!! EGADS! I'm thinking about walking after our workouts for a few miles, anyway...if my feet can handle it.

Paula - Take care of yourself my friend!

My ankle is slowly getting better. I was able to get a 30 min walk in without pain today finally!

Was happy to see my nephew Cameron graduate from college yesterday. It wasn't easy for him, but he overcome his learning disability to get there. Was a great celebration!

I am trying to eat pretty clean this week....I know you all are as well!70dzc4a5l4mp.jpg

Karen there have been so many graduations this past week. So inspiring. Glad your ankle is healing. I am trying to eat better this week.

Paula so glad it was scratches and not stitches. That checking out sounds exhilarating.

Kathy I am still doing my pushups. Got in 20 this morning without a rest. We can achieve our goals

Chris I am trying to lose 20 pounds also. Cleaner eating and exercise will get us there.

Very busy weekend. Planted flowers. Will post the new hibiscus trellis later. Basement of the cabin flooded. Rocky had to pump it out. But it is doing good. It rained almost all weekend. Worked on the aquarium. Worked out Saturday. Was sore Sunday.

Maintained and to be honest I’m surprised. Two weeks left to try and make a difference. I’m making smoothies with protein powder and eating healthier for the rest of the month. As well as getting back to the challenge.

    Finish strong ladies!

Kathy, what is your protein powder? You'll make it!!
Karen, glad your ankle is getting better. I remember that being a pain when I twisted mine...ugh! I feel for you. Looks like graduation was great!!
    Shelley...I need flowers!!
I had Collin Duty this morning then had to clean the house for our housekeeper. She has been with us for the 11 years we have been in this house!! She is so great! I was thinking about walking after she left but it's 90 degrees out there...nopey, nope! I'm hoping to be done with Collin Duty early enough to walk tomorrow. Supposed to be hotter than today...we'll see.

Chris I’m trying Happy Viking. It was created by Venus Williams. It has 20G of protein per serving. Plant based, Vegan, only 2G of sugar, no gluten and other great properties. It also dissolves well and is not chalky. Having a smoothie every morning and sometimes a second one during the day. I have the vanilla bean, strawberry and greens colada (it’s tropical). Just trying something different.

I should go back to drinking protein drinks...haven't done that in a long time!

Mom and Jim drink muscle milk (the ones already mixed.) I get them the 32g protein ones. You've inspired me to try again!

Did sunrise yoga yesterday and also went for almost a 3 mile walk...ankle is in good shape...just a little twingy...but overall good...beautiful day.

Rough night sleeping tonight so I'm up crazy early...like 3am. Work stress ;(

I have been crazy busy lately. We had a class all day yesterday. Lots of topics. I even was able to work out. Couple people from a local gym came to teach us a few workouts. Good thing I have been working out and doing my pushups. I did great. Sore today, but did well yesterday. And they did not have to adjust my form at all. LOL

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I got what we call the Dizzies but more like the Melties...we think it is caused from cutting out (a ton) of sugar all at once. Grahams and peppermint in the extreme! According to the research, the third day is the roughest...feels like a bad cold or a bad case of the flu. Yeppy, yep! I was much better toward the end of the day, but I don't want to do that again.
Anyway, I had Collin Duty this morning then donated books to the library then nothing!!!
Hoping to walk tomorrow...we'll just have to wait and see.

I did 5.88 miles in 118 mins today. It was hot and windy. So glad it was windy!! It was a hard walk since I haven't walked since Monday, had no trainer this week, had the melties on Wednesday, had Collin Duty this morning that was hard...but I did it!
Tomorrow is the last t-ball gathering, so I might walk to it. Supposed to be in the 60s to low 70s in the morning...a bit different from the 80s this afternoon!!! :#
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Had quite a busy week...did get 2 walks in yesterday. Resting my ankle today. Got a brace for it which should help....bummed that it is raining....but maybe a sign to rest.

Bella and I are getting manicures later...Jim is at a martial arts seminar...so just us ;)

Karen, we got to 79 today...supposed to be 84 tomorrow and 90 on Monday, maybe. The sun is shining!! I used to be a manicurist!! Did it for a lot of years. Things have really changed tho. The kids were in Elementary school. I'd pick them up, head back to the shop and they would do there homework there...get their hair cut...mess around. That was a long, long time ago.
I did 3.01 miles in 64 mins going to t-ball. I left early trying to get 3.0 miles. Pat was headed to t-ball, spotted me and offered me a ride!! And I was so glad for the ride. It was sunny and breezy at t-ball. Ronan had the last hit of the day, and it was a HOME RUN!! Way out in center field...well, t-ball center field... :D
I will walk to the post office tomorrow unless Pat wants to walk with me for an hour. I think I told you guys that he'll only do an hour...I don't know why because we used to walk everywhere no matter how long it took us. So we'll just wait and see what happens.
Hope you guys are having a good weekend.

Got 4.22 miles in 84 mins this morning then we set up the living room for when Collin comes over. Moved things around, bagged things to donate, brought in the Pack'n'Play...which is missing the changing table part...bummer...we did good work!!
My trainer is back from Tennessee, so I'll be seeing her tomorrow. Glad she's back...the week without her cost me...made my brain foggie and all my muscle went somewhere else. :'(

Chris you sound like you are doing wonders. Cut out the sugar! Wow great going. I did not know you did nails. I bet that was a fun time. Glad your trainer is back.

Karen have fun with getting your nails done. Sorry about the ankle.

This weekend flew by. Bike riding, birthdays, took down a wooden play center. Cleaned the aquariums. Planted some more of the clematises I bought. Dug in one of my smaller beds. Taking everything out of it but 3 plants. Might put some of the irises back in though. Going to put one more clematis in it. I think I have enough of them now. We went up to the shack yesterday. It is looking wonderful.

Finally not sore from last weeks workout. Boy did I pay for that. I have Friday-Tuesday off. Going to head down to Colorado on Friday. I want some more little statues. And I am surprising Rocky with brunch at a great Barbecue restaurant I recently heard about. They serve burgers also. Then off to buy some annuals and possibly buy a new large pot.

My SIL went to Emergency this morning...just had surgery to fix a hernia in his intestines, he's in recovery. We'll be headed over to Sara's when they put him in a room so she can see him. I went over to help her this morning so she could get cleaned up then I came home and waited for news.
No walking for me. I'll keep you posted.

Chris - hope your sister is recovering well!

I always marvel at the distances you walk! What is the longest distance you have walked before?

I am also trying to cut out the sugar/carbs. I'm eating way too much of that for my body. I tend to do really well on high protein. So working on logging my food and just getting real about the carbohydrates :) so hard!

It was such a beautiful day yesterday.I did go for about an hour walk during the day. And then trimmed some trees in the backyard during my lunch break :) working from home. Is the Best!

So much drama at work. The company is really in a terrible position. We were acquired by another company about a year ago and some of the integration stuff has started. Our CEO was replaced (not uncommon...he wasnt a great leader any way), the global supply chain leader left, And now I don't think my boss is going to stay very long. Super super challenging. Trying to rise above and just do my work and stay healthy. I do need to start thinking about leaving but I just don't have the energy right now.

    Heading to sunrise yoga shortly!

    Have a great day!

    Thank you, Kathy.
Karen it is my Son-In-Law in the hospital. He is doing fine. Surgery went great. Sara went to see him yesterday evening while we watched the boys. I'll be going over to help her this morning then going to see my trainer.

Chris I am so glad to hear he is doing well. That is hard on everyone.

Karen I am also trying to cut out some carbs and sugar. Darn vending machine has been trying to lore me in for a candy bar. Work sounds way stressful for you. :(

Kathy I am hanging in with our pushups and added your planks. Darn carbs have been calling me. I am trying so hard to not listen.

I am going to try and get out in my garden a little tonight. Friday I have off and planning on taking a quick trip to Colorado. I want to buy some more statues for outdoor. And some annuals also. Maybe even a couple of Hibiscus plants. Our winter was awful and some have not come up. I also learned of a great place to eat. Rocky loves barbecue. And this place serves things I also enjoy. Win win.

    Shelley
