Welcome to Monday! I discovered two things this weekend: I should do laundry more often and I need a car. I did a LOT of laundry. And both children were working, so both cars were gone most of the time. I need a new ride.
I hope you had a lovely weekend! I am off to the store now that I have a way to get there and we are out of food.

    Good morning!

Too funny @KateNkognito hope you also had some time for R&R this weekend too! Today is laundry day here! Typically Sunday or Monday depending on what's going on. I like starting the week with clean clothing LOL!

We had a very productive weekend! On Saturday we got a load off to the dump. Collected a bunch of stuff from the basement and etc. that had been sitting around. Then we got a load off to Good Will.

On Sunday we got out the hose and set it up and used the Cutter Yard Guard spray on the patio and the areas we sit. Also pulled out all of our nice big red plastic Adirondack chairs and sprayed them down so we can use them. Went to Big Lots to return a set of crappy patio lights and placed an order for new ones on Amazon. We have a little fence that is on one side of the patio for privacy from the driveway and it is around 16 feet long (two stockade fence panels) so we like to put up solar lights for a little lighting and ambiance.

Any fun plans for the Independence Day weekend? We have been invited to a friend's house on Saturday, who has a pool. Since it is around an hour away and a later afternoon start, I don't think we will plan to swim and that is fine with me! Taking Monday off since it would be weird to have to work one day and then have another day off.

Looking pretty outside at the moment but mid day storms expected and then nicer later and tonight. Planning to have hamburgers on the BBQ tonight!

Hope you have a great day and your week is off to a nice start!

    Good morning!

Que the music - "It's the Final Count Down"!!! For the month of June that is. :)

Doing okay here. Definitely noticing less traffic on the highway, now that all the schools around these parts have been fully let out. People are doing the vacation thing and that's a nice thing!

Today is one of those hot steamy humid days where being inside by the A/C is the best approach! LOL My hair is already droopy! Oh well.

I hope you are having a good week. See you soon!

@Meghan509, it sounds like you had a productive weekend! I bet your yard looks lovely. :)
Both of my sons have to work on the 4th. It is their favorite holiday, so we will be celebrating early. They love to blow things up! LOL I am pretty sure they will be old fellas in the nursing home and they will still sneak out to light it up! :D
Glad the traffic is not as bad. I appreciate people who leave town for my convenience.
We had a storm through this morning. There was a weird sound and we lost power for a few seconds. Not sure if it was a lightning strike or what.
Off to do the stuff and things for the day. Have a good one!

    Good morning!

Too funny @KateNkognito this July 4 will be the first we've been in town, in a few years. I am looking forward to it. We do have our town fire works one night that we can go to, which is nice. But the parking lot when you need to go home is a total and complete nightmare. :( Sad that they can't hire staff or police to resolve that. Sitting for an hour plus is just really not cool.

Yes, another lighter traffic day today woo hoo!

Not much going on here and fine by me! Hoping to have a nice low stress day today.

    Have a good day!!

Turns out that the electric thing was a bird making an unfortunate connection. My husband buried it. :o
@Meghan509, we live in Small Town, Mid-America. We don't have to leave home to see a massive display put on by all the people for miles around. The city is going to have one this weekend, and it is easier to see if we drive a few blocks, but even afterwards the "traffic" is not anything major. One of the reasons I love living here.
Ate like a five year old yesterday. Hormones? Not sure what was going on, but half a pizza and some mint chocolate chip ice cream fixed it.
Have a lovely rest of the week!

So, I started the 30 day free trial of MFP premium. I think I am going to keep it. I, surprisingly like the fasting tracker, even though it only lets you set a single goal. I just start and end it whenever I want and ignore the goal. I also, very surprisingly like the plans. Didn't think I would. I started an exercise one. It isn't a fit for me right now, but I will absolutely come back to it when I can. I have also started, and will keep going with, one that nudges you into healthier eating. The ad free isn't as different as it might seem. I don't use any of the other tracking features, but I might in the future. Edit to add: I really like that I can turn off the adjustment for exercise calories, too. I can track steps and exercise again and not have it affect my daily goal.

My people! I love mint chocolate chip ice cream! LOL

    Good morning!

Almost forgot to check in today! I tend to forget if I don't do it first thing. My mind getting old.

That app sounds cool, @KateNkognito good to know! I am still in meh mode regarding getting myself together in to some kind of a fasting and calorie counting regimen. Mind, you, I am not going crazy but still not really focusing like I could be. Soon....

Not much else going on here. Slower morning with a lot of people doing calls and meetings and therefore leaving me alone! :#

I am so ready for a long weekend! I totally get what you mean about small town USA and local fireworks. That is cool! I hope you guys enjoy.

    See you soon!!

    Good morning!

Cloudy sort of meh day here at the moment, but supposed to get better later supposedly!

Working remotely today. Need to run out to the grocery store mid day to grab a few things to bring to the Saturday get together. Saturday weather has gotten better too which is good!

Hope you are enjoying your late June early July @KateNkognito! Tomorrow is July 1 yikes! I will try and log on and start the new monthly thread but if I forget go for it. LOL

Have a nice holiday weekend and see you soon!!

Happy Friday! I am planning on ignoring all the back to school signs that will pop up next week. It is still hot here, but supposed to cool off and maybe even rain a bit. The boys blew things up last night and our new neighbors have little girls that were so excited to watch the show. My son's felt like rock stars. It was so cute! Off to decide if I want McDonald's or a salad for lunch.
