Weigh In Day: Sunday
PW :161.2
CW :160.0
I guess I forgot to weigh in last week 🤦🏽♀️ This summer has been crazy with travel and schedule changes for us. My husband and I both work from home and now that our only son has graduated from high school, it’s like there’s nothing that ties us to a regular 9-5 type of schedule. It’s taking extra focus to be organized and remember what day of the week it is.3 -
@AmbersWay – How is your husband doing? Is he using a bone stimulator? My mom broke her femur and was prescribed one. It was amazing seeing all the subsequent x-rays showing the bone rebuilding so fast. Is he keeping his spirits up? I hope so. Praying for you both.
@trooworld – How is the job going? And is it Violet being violent? If so, is it because she’s still a puppy? I’ve only had one dog my entire life (back when I was in school) and she was the bee’s knees. So I don’t know much about dog behavior. Snickers was a beagle/schnauzer mix and the best ever…I could never have another dog because I’d constantly compare. Nice burn at your Aqua Zumba class! I’ll bet that was so relaxing to just sit and look at the sky. We all should take moments like that more often and just appreciate our surroundings.
@19shmoo69 – I wonder if you replied to something here previously in a British accent and that’s why I ASSumed you were British? Hahahaha
@Katmary71 – I hope you had fun at the peach festival! So did the zero gravity chair help you? I hope all the doctors and surgeons can get on the same page quickly and your insurance covers everything. It’s absolutely ridiculous how long you’ve had to deal with their red tape.
@txcritter69 – If it’s not too late for me to chime in on the sweetener question, I use Stevia (baking/cooking), Agave (replace honey/sauces), German Rock Sugar (tea) or maple syrup (desserts/breakfast foods)…depending on what it’s being used for.
@maggybd – Sounds like I need to hire your cleaning services! I hate ALL housework!
Sorry I’ve been MIA…Hunter is doing a lot better. They will be going back to their home tomorrow…a few days sooner than anticipated because my middle child is leaving her boyfriend in Texas and driving up here (Michigan) this week. He and his family (sister and mother) are all gaslighters and completely overstep (as in the mom contacted Syd’s ex-husband to say she’s not eating). She said she thinks they are trying to make her look unfit so they can take the baby when she has it. I wouldn’t put it past them. Anyway, I told her she could stay with me for a couple months until she gets her own place. She just needed to be out of that horrible situation. I’ll love having her back here, but she’s bringing her dog and 2 cats and I’m allergic. I have been doing some serious stress eating and I’m so sorry to disappoint the team with my weigh in. Yesterday I was back on track…ate under calories AND took a 30 minute walk. I think I need to cut soda out again. I’ve been getting headaches a lot. Adding that to my August mini goals. I hope everyone has a good day. Hugs to everyone!

Congratulations top losers @SatanLuciferJones, @UTMom81 @trooworld !
@DrewsAnna You’re doing great setting yourself up for success!
@AmbersWay Hey if it’s the first gain to post you’re doing really good, congrats, that’s amazing!
@Cornanda Thank you, gentle hugs back!
@trooworld Wow that’s a great burn for your workout! Wonderful day!
@txcritter69 Thank you! You go be amazing as well.
@DebJB30 It IS hard to stay on track with everything when working from home, I have lists all over the place and stay on a pretty strict schedule and still struggle.
@vegan4lyfe2012 I didn’t get to go to the peach festival darnit! I’m comfortable in the zero gravity chair, my old one broke so I’ve been waiting for the end-of-summer sales and just ordered a new one that hasn’t been delivered yet. I’m so glad Hunter is doing better! Oh no, that sounds terrible with your middle child, having her stay with you is smart but the animals are going to be a tough one. Could she keep them somewhere else or at least in a confined room? Definitely understandable on the stress eating, glad to hear yesterday was a good day for you.
@19shmoo69 I think you should change your name to SkittishShmoo, it has a fun ring to it!
Hi friends. Had the pain clinic earlier, I was supposed to have a referral to see a surgeon go through after 2 months because the spinal cord stimulator isn’t a good option with all the stenosis in my spine as there’s nowhere for the wires to go. Today’s doctor I’d never seen before and he said the surgeon wrote back he’d see me after my stimulator was put in but the other pain doc had already told me not to do it so it makes no sense. I’m guessing he read it too fast and if he did then I sure don’t want him operating on my spine! The doctor today said he was confused since the surgeon sounds like he’s go over the pain doctor’s decision to not do it. SO a referral to a different doctor is going out and I’ll see this new guy again in a month if nothing happens sooner. We’re stuck on some symptoms being “go to the ER now” or not like the headache being from high BP or my neck. I did like this doctor because he actually voiced disagreements with others instead of covering, my pain meds are going to be upped for now which I’m not happy about but it is what it is. Not doing the best with any of my goals right now except maybe water.
Have a great Tuesday!

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday was my worst day of eating since I started this journey. I ate over 3000 calories. It was a combination of not enough sleep, a very stressful day at work and it is extremely hot so I can't go anywhere. I have heat issues so I don't even drive places. When the heat index is 110, even crossing a parking lot is an issue for me. And the heat index was still 109 at 9 pm last night. It will be that bad at least for a week.
So, I am going to switch things around this week. I am going to give up trying to get to 10,000 steps and instead focus on food and water. 2.5 L a day. And I am going to eat the same food every day. It is a good balanced plan with lots of greens. I am also going to post my weight here every day. Today I am back up to 207.4. I gained almost 2 lbs yesterday.
Let's see if I can still get to onederland by August 274 -
Good Morning!
@vegan4lyfe2012 It's not to late to chime in. I have never heard of German Rock Sugar will have to check that out. I am glad to see Hunter is doing better. So, sorry to hear about your other daughter. What area is she at in Texas. Glad she is getting out of a bad situation. You should never apologize for your WI everyone had set backs. Just move forward.
@Katmary71 So, sorry thing just aren't moving along like they should for you with your pains. It is frustrating when you are in pain and the don t seem to get the process moving quickly to help you to get the pain back under control. I gave you in my thoughts and prayers.
Just a quick stop in, yesterday hubby and I took a drive while having to drop off an engine at the engine repair shop. But before leaving out I got my morning walk in with Diesel. This morning I will 've getting my walk in an then later today I am taking my daughter to the grocery store to help with filling her pantry.
This month I have 6 goals: Aug. 7
1.) WAKE UP HAPPY! Yesterday was a good day mentally, definitely relaxing
2.) Get all my steps in every day. 12,612
3.) Only eat out once a week. We eat out at a Mexican restaurant
4.) Stop the snacking after 7pm. I had no snacks 😁
5.) Log food and water intake. Did not track
6.) Check in daily with my goals.✔
Happy Tuesday
GO OUT AND BE AMAZING TODAY!3 -
@vegan4lyfe2012 @Katmary71 - sending you both prayers and hugs with your current situations. You are often on my mind.3

I tried a mug of tea with a half scoop of my vanilla protein powder in it. Not my favorite cup of tea, but at least it upped my protein for today.4

I have protein tea every morning - big fan! 🍵
It doesn't taste at all like tea tho. It was disconcerting when I first tried it, now I'm so used to it, I look forward to my morning protein tea. I use a half serving of protein powder, with a half serving of nonfat dry milk powder.

It's strange that I've felt out of control the last few weeks, but maybe that is just because I find maintenance scary. Coming here weekly and posting my weight is helping me to stay motivated.
My News feed is not loading and has not loaded for several day's now. I have reported it to MFP today.4 -

@maggybd I think switching things around is a great idea, I hope this is exactly what you need. I think sometimes the less flexible the goals the worse we struggle. Hope today is going better for you!
@trooworld Is the Aqua Zumba more dancing versus aerobics? I’m glad you got in a good workout even if they had awful taste in music! We need a Prince Aqua Zumba class! It sounds like you had a great day even if it was a little over. I went roller skating a few years ago with my nephews and was thinking the same about the music, I mean they didn’t even play YMCA, where’s the quality tunes?!
@txcritter69 Thank you. Great job with hitting most the goals and getting in your morning walk!
@Cornanda Hugs back atcha, thank you!
@mkksemail I still have to try it in tea but only have chocolate protein powder (I do have an espresso maple tea it could be good in though).
@FushiaKat I’ve read that with a few friends here having trouble reading the feed. I think maintenance is scary because we’re worried of gaining the weight back if we don’t do things right. I know I have that fear, not sure if that could be it for you.
Hi friends. I don’t have much to report, did good with food but I have calories set to 1200 so I tend to be slightly over, I should probably up it for now. Did some gentle stretches and have been in bed reading all day. My cats are loving me laying around because they’re getting a lot of attention!
Have a great Wednesday!

@sleepygirl79 Have a wonderful vacation! Good luck eating out and logging and above all, have fun!
@trooworld That looks really fun, I’ve seen the aqua aerobics classes but not Zumba, I want to take that sometime! You’ve done great upping your water, wow! Sounds like you’re taking good care of yourself, boo on that headache creeping in!
Been quiet in here tonight! I picked up my prescriptions this morning then had a call that another one was called in because I had a bladder infection when they did a urine test at the hospital. So I’m happy to know feeling like my bladder was about to let loose wasn’t from my spine problems, I’m guessing that’s what my bad headache is too since I’ve probably had it for a couple weeks. My pain med is increased too so hopefully I’ll be feeling a lot better soon. A MFP friend just bought a plane ticket to visit in October so I’m hoping we’ll still be able to do that. Doing my best to stay on track, yesterday and today have been good.
Have a great Thursday!

MFP "friends" are so sensitive nowadays. I accept a new F. R. They send a message, say I'm cute and ask if we can switch apps to chat better. I reply with what's wrong with chatting here Scammer. And then BOOM out come the profanities. What's the problem? Was I not supposed to figure it out that quick?4

@19shmoo69 - I get those MFP "friends" too; also on StrideKick. And I used to get them on Fitbit.
@Katmary71 - I hope the meds clear up your UTI and also help the headache!

@trooworld Thanks! I’m not sure why on your knee but that’s great news!
@micaroo4 Thank you!
Hi team, hope everyone’s off doing fun things for the quietness in here! I’m hanging in there, I talked to the charity president and I’m glad I wasn’t there for the salsa competition when she told me how there were disagreements going on, my blood pressure’s been high from pain and it makes me a little too reactive so good thing I was safely at home. I talked to the farm manager and Saturday he’s going to have a chair and the garlic ready for me to separate cloves for planting more garlic, one of the only things we can think of to do on a farm that isn’t carrying or moving much. I’m still having a lot of spinal pressure like I’m being crushed so I’ve been using my walker a lot lately. Not much else going on, have a great Friday!

I'm about at my wit's end here.... and this quote was in my email hmmmmmm:
"You're more likely to unlock a big leap in performance by trying differently than by trying harder. You might be able to work 10% harder, but a different approach might work 10x better. Remain focused on the core problem, but explore a new line of attack. Persistence is not just about effort, but also strategy. Don't merely try harder, try differently."3 -
@katmary71- spinal pressure does not sound good. I'm glad you are getting out and finding things to do that you enjoy. It can't be easy with how you are feeling, but it's good for you.
@trooworld - hooray that your knee is feeling better.
I'm very happy that it's Friday- this week has been long and when I woke up yesterday, it felt like it should be Friday.
