Chris - that picture lol...so cute!

It's been a bit of a tough week going back to school here. Bella hasn't been going in first. For over a year now and now is back first. Needless to say mornings are not easy around here. So we are working on it.

One of my best friends fathers also passed away he was like a father to me. So that was particularly sad this week. What makes it even worse is the funeral is going to be on a date when I am out of town. Yikes.

My boss quit at work. Lots of fun!

    Really happy it is Friday!

I've done a pretty good job with eating better this week and did rejoin planet fitness. Off to sunrise yoga this morning :-)

More water, healthier food choices, more movement, Shelley’s plank/squat challenge and strength training. Tired of losing the same 5 pounds over and over again. Time tote out of the 170s.

    Let’s do this ladies! 💪🏾

Karen that is rough. Sending you lots of good vibes.

Kathy I am also losing the same few pounds. Ridiculous! So glad you and Chris are with me in the mini challenge. <3

Chris I previewed the first workout. Really like it. Will do tomorrow morning.

Long day. Worked on my hips some more. Working towards being able to sit cross legged for long periods. Seeing improvement already.

Karen, I'm sorry for what you are going through. Sending you good thoughts and love.
Kathy, I lose and gain the same pounds also...maddening!!
Shelley, I'll never be able to sit cross legged again...hip surgeon said...nopey, nope! That's the only thing he put the kibosh on.
I did get 5.12 miles done in 103 mins this morning. Our weather is really strange...it sprinkled on me during part of my walk but didn't sprinkle here at home. Low clouds all day long. We'll just have to see what tomorrow is like on my way to the post office and back.

Chris I ended up taking y SIL, Kyle, home shortly after we started yesterday. He has a nasty case of shingles. Puking, diarrhea, rash, face swelling. Blisters on his eye lids. He was told to go see his eye doctor as soon as possible. Is in danger of losing sight in his eye.

Rocky and I finished up most of the siding on our own. Both peaks are done. Still have the porch left. I will post photos later. Barney even went up in the lift. Silly pup. It rained on and off today. Made our day longer. Constantly having to measure, go down and cut new pieces to take up and install. Was bad enough! Add in the down pours made for a long day. We did as much from the scaffolding as possible. Easier to work off of. The hard parts are done. I am counting all the climbing as my squats today.

Shelley, I hope SIL and Kyle are okay. Shingles are nasty s***, man!! Sounds like he has more issues than his eyes.
I got 5.74 miles done in 107 mins Sunday, saw my trainer for a good workout yesterday for 60 mins and I got 3.38 miles done in 62 mins this morning then Collin Duty! SIL has a head cold today...oh, the things I could say... >:)

He went to the eye doctor and picked up meds for his eyes. Chris is it men in general or this generation? We took care of our babes no matter how we felt

Check out my new bike that my brother built for me. He’s visiting and surprised me. It’s red and black like my favorite football team the Atlanta Falcons. Check out my initial k and the falcon emblem.my brother is retired Air Force, 24 years, worked for a defense contractor for 10 years and is on his second retirement.

He’s always loved bikes and started taking them apart as a kid. He’s taught himself how to build them and now has a part time job with REI. They saw his work and begged him to come to work for them. He decided to work part time mostly for the discount on parts and he’s so much like mom…had to stay busy. As a thank you to me he surprised me with this sweet red bike. We’re going to the park tomorrow so I can see if I still know how. 😂

Chris an hour is a great walking time. You rock.

Kathy it is beautiful. And that is a great shade of red! Love love love it. How did it go? If you can't ride still send me that sweet ride. My brother only knows how to break things! :D

Went to a wedding tonight. Kathy I wore a dress. Two of my best friends got married. They both lost their spouses years ago. It was such a heart felt wedding. So very happy for them.

I am dog sitting Kimbo again. He is such a sweet boy. Lester brought him to us last night. He brought his father in law also. He wanted to see our mustang. He does not speak English, and is originally from Cuba. No language barrier between him and our cat though. They were fast friends.

Shelley you look wonderful thanks for sharing. Also love the pictures of the cabin and seeing your progress. Libby is so cute.

Yesterday my brother supervised as Sunni and I mounted the bike carrier on my car. We did it mostly by ourselves as we have to be able to do it. We added the bikes and the 3 of us headed to the park for the first time. It was as they say “just like riding a bike” you never forget. My issue was balance but I got over it pretty fast. My brother gave me a lesson on shifting gears as the bike is a 9 speed. We stayed out about 45 minutes and had such a good time. My brother had to head home to Huntsville. I think Sunni and I will fit bike riding as a part of our fitness plan. Here’s pictures and a video but not sure if the video will work on MFP.

Shelley, you are beautiful in your dress...you know I don't even have one! Your cabin is amazing and your pup is such a cutey!
Kathy, we went to the bike store to get me a bike...I wanted a three wheeler because my balance sucks...just ask my trainer...everyone...husband, daughter, SIL and a friend talked me into a two wheeled, three speed. UGH!!!! No, no, no... One time, when I had Ronan in the baby seat, I turned left into a crosswalk/signal, only the crossing light was red! Thank the Angel above (that would be Nick!) that all the cars waited for the dumb Grandma to get out of the street and back on the sidewalk. That was my last ride. Gave my bike to my trainer. And the funny thing is that when we were kids, we rode bikes everywhere.
I love your pictures, Kathy. Glad you are having fun. Your bike is cool, too!!
Well, I decided to take a day off...no kids...no walking...nothing but blue skies and my book!!! My trainer is gone all this week, so I'll get in a bunch of hour walks before Collin gets here. I get to go for an EKG on Wednesday...that'll be fun, right?
Have a great Sunday my friends!

Kathy your brother looks fit! So glad you and Sunni will be riding more. New chapter! I could sure use a lesson on the gears. I just leave them be. :D The video did not work sadly. Send it to my phone.

Chris I can so see you riding that bike. Glad you were safe. There are folks here who ride 3 wheelers.

Worked on the siding a little more today. Those windows, door and outlets really are time consuming. But almost done. Very little exterior work left. I want the bathroom to be the first room finished. I worked out this morning before going to the cabin. Had dinner with my daughter. Ham and potatoes. With a green salad.

I had a 45 minute swim lesson this morning. Still learning and getting comfortable. My instructor said bike riding on a higher gear will ultimately help my swimming. I’ll get there eventually. But I probably need that 3 wheeler. 😂

My BFF and I have a date Wednesday morning for our next ride.

Shelly I’m loving the squat/plank challenge. ❤️I’m finding variety in my workouts are exactly what I need.

Shelley, you asked me about the canal I walk next to...it's the water canal that goes to a distribution station. It's the water that will end up at the water treatment plant that Patrick used to operate. He would treat the water so everyone could drink.
I still look at the three-wheelers on Amazon!
I did 3.52 miles in 64 mins this morning. It was beautiful out there...not a lot of people. Then had Collin Duty w/Patrick...then showered...now I'll be setting up a battle for Ronan to do when he gets here after school. He starts tennis today. He did it last year and loved it. He has the same teacher as last time. Soooo...his "battle" against all his creatures will have to be fast because he won't have much time for homework due to being picked up early for tennis.
I am now going to drink coffee and read my book.

Kathy I was wondering if you were still swimming. That is great. And variety is good for the mind also. Have fun on your bike ride.

Chris I don't remember Ronan playing tennis last year. Mind is slipping. :s You should look into a 3 wheeler seriously. There are some things also that enable you to be standing and gliding along. Water is important to everyone.

Working on my hip flexors. What a pain!

Shelley, hope your hip flexors become less of a pain for you!!
    Ronan loves his tennis lessons!!
I did 3.47 miles in 67 mins this morning. Collin was already here when I got home and in a really fun mood...he is always smiling!! Pete picked him up and Pat went to get Ronan from school. We dropped Ronan off and headed for Kaiser...I had and EKG that worried my Doc, so he increased one of my meds. Pat had blood draw and then we both got our flu shot!!! Man, I don't like going to Kaiser...ever!

Chris I don't blame you. But so glad Collin is happy. And you got your walk in. And your meds adjusted for the better hopefully. What a busy day.

I was so unhappy with the lack of coloring books at our local stores. I was looking for one with dinosaurs. Nada! Work was busy today. I went from one court to another with hardly a chance to get a bathroom break in. Makes for a fast day. Went in the hot tub tonight. Got in some exercise also. Last night I hemmed some pants for a co-worker. He was pretty happy to have them. Said his others hardly fit now. :#
