Ladies my BFF and I along with another close friend are taking a short trip to Asheville, NC. Leave Sunday and return Wednesday. The three of us usually take a trip yearly to celebrate our birthdays but the last two years it's been impossible.

We all love the area. The mountains are beautiful, a lot of local artists and a visit to The Biltmore winery to restock. 😊 Also a couple of days to relax, catch up and rejuvenate.

My sister is staying with Mom. It’s great having her home from Dubai. She has really stepped up and mom is enjoying her time with her. She the oldest sister and I feel I can relax and enjoy my trip knowing she’s taking care of mom.

Hope to do some walking and there’s a fitness center. Will try not to over eat. They have wonderful restaurants in Asheville.

Shelley...AMAZON for your coloring book!!! There are some Same Day Deliveries!!! Hope today was easier at work.
Kathy, have fun with your buddies!!
No walking for me today. We took my blood pressure this morning and I emailed the results to my Doc along with some numbers I had collected last night. Doc is happy for now. I'll be walking in the morning.

Karen thanks. Wish I had your smile!

Kathy that sounds so fun. So envious. You have loads of fun. My birthday is soon also. Think of me often.

Chris glad you made the doc happy. They can be so snarky. I managed to find a picture online I can use. I will remember Amazon next time.

Today was very busy also. But easier. Frosting made. The last judge that was working when I started retired last week. Seems strange. New judge was working as a District Attorney back then. He will be a good judge.

Shelley, my doctor was great during my EKG visit Wednesday...it was the nurse that was a b****!! She totally ignored Pat, didn't listen to him...pulled the curtain right in front of his face...ugh! Mean and nasty!!
I got 3.51 miles in 65 mins done this morning. Collin was here playin' w/Grandpa when I got home. He was p/u around noon and Pat went to get Ronan from school. Ronan and I made egg sandwiches for his lunch...a bit messy and fun w/Blippi!!
Tomorrow I'll go to the post office and back.

Chris - I don't understand why people are so rude....in particular in healthcare!! Especially when a human being is sitting in front of them :(

I did get 2 walks in yesterday....it was so cool out yesterday...quite nice!

We have a busy weekend ahead...but it should be pretty nice out....so looking forward to more time outside. Trying to figure out what exercise I will do today....not sure yet...but something!

Karen, I'd been lucky up until Wed. Everyone has been really nice and helpful. Guess it had to end sometime, right?
I got 6.08 miles done in 117 mins this morning to the post office and back. I'll get to do the same thing tomorrow!! The ball of my right foot was cryin' by the time I got home. Tomorrow should be better...I hope... :#

Chris that nurse needs a good tongue lashing. Should have reported her to the doctor. Let me slap her for you. Glad your trainer is back. I am sure you enjoy visiting while working out.

Karen I like to be outdoors also. Feeling a bit cooped up.

I pulled out a small table while at the cabin. Plunked down on a chair and read my book. Had enough of work. Long day at work today. Not sure how my hips are ever going to get better. Standing for hours with my duty belt!

I pulled over a small table while in the kitchen. Plunked down on a chair and read my book AFTER 3.44 miles in 63 mins then Collin Bear time then Ronan time... :D Long day!!! :D
Did I tell you about the new neighbor behind us?? with the bark...bark...bark terrier that they let out for hours at a time? The dog barks at the sky...bark...bark...bark...then takes a drink from the water bowl then snout towards the blue sky and...bark...bark...bark...drink...bark...bark...bark. I'll name him BARKLY!!! Do you get the idea?? Good thing we have double pane windows and doors. EGADS!!! Can't they hear him???
We have Collin Duty this morning then I have my trainer at noon then Ronan Duty this afternoon. He has a cold and Collin is stuffy. We'll see how today goes.
    Later, my friends.

Asheville was beautiful and perfect weather. The ladies and I talked, walked, shopped and ate. The perfect long weekend. Even enjoyed the 3 1/2 hour ride. Can’t wait to return.

Chris - that's terrible that your neighbors keep Barkley out....that would drive me nuts! That's why I'm a cat person!

My neighbors have dogs on each side, but they are very respectful and pull them inside of they bark for a prolonged period of time thankfully.

Today was safety day at work....did fire extinguisher training... useful. What was not useful was eating the pizza lunch....I'm still exhausted from the carbs!

Kathy so glad you all had a great time. I always enjoy my trips away from home. And then I to am glad to be home.

Karen while I love my cat, I have to have my dogs. I love walking them. Even little Libby loves a good walk. Albeit short ones. ;)

Chris are they even home? How annoying. Our neighbor had a dog that did that. She put her out and went to work. Barked constantly. Then one day it stopped. She had gotten out and hit by a car. I felt guilty at how I wasn't going to miss her.

Tomorrow is the dining ceremony for our new judge. Should be a good time. Probably to much food though.

Shelley, it makes me crazy!! Pat suggested sending them a letter thru the mail...might just do that!!
We had Collin this morning and Ronan this afternoon. Ronan still has a cold...bad coughing...he's a trooper tho.
I had my trainer at noon. I'll walk to the post office tomorrow unless the walking gods tell me to stay in bed!! We'll see.

Chris - I would send them a letter....that's not OK.

Rainy here in PA with the stormy weekend. I went to planet fitness for a quick 30 min elliptical workout since it is downpouring outside. I kicked it up a notch!

Getting a pedicure and then a flu shot before we take the kiddo for therapy. Will either do takeout or grab a bite and then likely do stuff around the house.

I leave for TX for a quick work trip Wednesday.

I've been doing a solid job eating better....saw an herbalist who has really pointed out some good areas I need to improve... hydration is a big one and more salt. Baby steps right?

    Have a great Saturday!

Karen I forget to drink enough all the time. Keep improving. You got this.

Today I littered around the house doing things that needed done. Then had lunch with Rocky. And checked out his wiring job on the cabin.

Lately I have been missing my boys. The original dogs I had when we started here. Everything reminds me of them.

I got 5.87 miles done in 111 mins to the post office and back yesterday. It was beautiful out there. It's cooling off here in Northern California!!
We had the boys again yesterday for about 3+ hours. Ronan still has a cough and couldn't go with Sara and Pete to the play they planned. It was a bit crazy for us...again!! :p
I am doing nothing today because my body is tired. :#

Chris I had a do virtually nothing day also. Looked at my retirement portfolio. Looking good, on schedule. Chatted with my brother. Listened to a book while cleaning off the table. He is learning Spanish! I should try that. Then walked to Walgreens with Rocky. Stopped in Ace hardware and looked at grills. This was the most expensive walk ever. Yep bought a new Traeger. Trying out the insulated one. Might work good here in Wyoming.

Shelley, I was worn out after all week plus Saturday having the boys. My brain just said, "Nopey, nope." So, I said, "Okay!"
I had to look up what a Traeger is. Cool grill!!
Today we had Collin Duty this morning then I had my trainer at noon for an hour then we had Ronan until 3:30. He had tennis today. Ronan's cold is much better but now Collin is getting stuffy. :(
Tomorrow I will get to walk for an hour in the morning. :D

Chris I am sorry. The guys here are always talking Traeger this and that. I got so used to them discussing them I just stopped talking "grill". o:) I really hope the insulation on this one helps with winter smoking. Rocky already smoked a rack of ribs tonight. Said he already likes it more than his old one. It came with a folding front shelf and cover. Adjustable rack. WiFi digital temperature probe. Crazy what this smoker does.

Work was busy today. Then took the dogs for a walk. Cheaper taking them. :D

Walked 3.48 miles in 64 mins this morning then had Collin Duty. Ronan will be picked up shortly. I set up a different battle for him every day. Today's looks like this...
    91mhdo5wjawy.jpg
Saturday I set up a battle, threw a big quilt on the grass and moved Collins walker out on the quilt so that when they got here, Collin could watch Ronan battle all the bad guys!! It was so funny to watch them. <3

You sure know how to make the best memories Chris.

Work was a blur. Moving constantly. Afterwards we went to the mountain. Ate a meal from Arby's. Then walked the dogs. Barney found something dead. He did not want to give it up. But we insisted.

I decided to start learning Spanish. I have always wanted to. So I put the app Duolingo on my phone. Even got a co-worker to join with me. You can have friends on it. Not sure how that works. But I will give it my best.

Shell - I've been considering getting a Traeger....a few friends have them and boy do they make great meat!!

Heading to Texas for a quick work trip....our Women's Network is doing a conference so this should actually be quite a fun trip I think.

Not happy with my weight....I stepped on the scale and yikes 😬
