Introducing myself…

Hi everyone! I started Ozempic March 21st for diabetes/weight loss and 6 months in I am down 90lbs. Of course, I have a lot to lose (200+) but this is the first time in my life that I have succeeded in losing this much weight. I was on 1.0mg for the last few months but about 3 weeks ago, I noticed my hunger coming back. My endocrinologist suggested I go to 1.5mg (counting those clicks!) and so far that has curbed my appetite back to what “normal eating” should be. I do have side effects…mostly nausea, but Zofran takes care of that. I feel this has been a miracle for me…I figure if I don’t take it, I’d die of obesity much sooner…if I do take it, I’ll still die, but hopefully much much later and healthier. It was a life/death situation. I’m excited to be apart of this group and to help each other!

    WOW - congratulations!! That's awesome!!

I've been on Oz about a month longer, and have lost 24# as of today - I'm now 169, woot!! I would like to lose another 24#, which would put me at just under the lowest I achieved following my sleeve gastrectomy in 2015. I'm also on 1.5mg/week. No side effects worth noting, happily.

You'll find that this group is not terribly active - partly cuz MFP's groups have decreased in usage over the past few years, and also partly cuz of the unfortunate name of this group, which excludes Wegovy and Mounjaro patients.
