HOW IT ALL WORKS: The November challenge runs for 5 weeks, from October 19 - December 2. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard.
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or are moved to the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Hi Im Lis, 60, originally from Wales Uk but I've lived in Spain for 22 years. I'm retired and travel in my rv for around 10 months of the year as i love to travel and explore new places.
I started on mfp in August 2021 at 276lb and hardly able to walk due to knee pain. Now i walk over 10,000 steps a day ... I've lost 90lb, got 10lb to go to reach target.
Welcome to our new members @ChickieBoom23,@charutandon444, @theresab88 and @2PurrfectKats glad to have you with us.
Hope everyone has a great November and the lbs drop off easily!!3 -

Welcome to November! I am Linda and I am one of the team captains along width Megan who does an amazing job. I am married with 3 adult children. I have 4 beautiful granddaughters ranging in age from 2 to 18. I have two fat cats named Lady and Nick.
I started my weight loss journey in February of 2019. It’s been slow going but I have lost 96.4 pounds. I have binge eating disorder and in 2018 started therapy. I learned to manage my binge triggers and reduce the binge eating. Getting this under control was a big help in my success. I am almost at goal.
My fitness definitely needs work. I lost my motivation months ago and have not been going to the pool as much as I should. I am working on improving my walking. I have a bad back(nerve issues. This along with neuropathy and venous reflux causes quit a bit of pain. I can’t go for long walks anymore so I do mini walks. I have increase my steps over the last few months and I am upping my step goal tp 4500 this month.
My biggest NSV to date is being insulin free for the last 2 years. Losing weight is the best thing I ever done for my diabetes. I wish I could have figured this out years ago.
Goals:
Lose 2 pounds
Increase my both my exercise, move and stand goals on my Apple Watch.
Close rings daily
4,500 steps minimum
Physio exercises daily
Increase the time of my mini walks

Thanks for the warm welcome. Nice to be here!
I'm 43 with 3 kids: 15,12 and 9. I've been on MFP on and off for about 12 years and in the past I've had great success losing weight. However, in the last couple of years, it's been a lot of struggle and I'm almost at my biggest weight ever. I'm hoping to lose about 30 to 40 pounds.2 -

Steps: 5,384
Exercise: 2/4
Rings: 27/28
Once again I came up short on my exercise goal. I do mini walks almost everyday but unless I get a total of 30 minutes I don’t count it as exercise. While I am a bit disappointed I didn’t close my rings everyday it’s a big improvement over September. Now to try it again with all my numbers increased. I am happier with my weight loss for the month. If I can lose 2 pounds in both November and December I will reach my goal weight by Christmas.
I hope everyone has a great November.

Hello Downsizers.
I'm Darlene, 63-years-old, retired since 2020, married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson) and one goldendoodle (Monty). In January I vowed lose weight, get healthy, give up some bad habits, exercise, and take some time for me for a change. Something actually clicked this time (have tried numerous times in the past), and I am more determined than ever to meet my goals. I started at 228 pound, and am currently around 171 (57 pounds lost). I am just a couple pounds away from leaving the obese stage for good. My ultimate goal is to get to ideal (another 30 pounds - give or take a few).
My November goals:- Lose 4 pounds (4 pounds is always my goal) which would also move me from obese to overweight ⚖️
- Get 200 miles logged on my fitness tracker - I was on a mission to get 2,023 miles in 2023. I will make that goal the first week in November - so now upping it to 2,400! 👣
- Strength Train - 3 days a week💪
- Flex train - 1 day per week 🧘
- Continue with couch to 5K (I'm on week 3) - I do two rounds of each week - 3 times a week🏃♂️
- Log Daily 📝
- Stay under my calorie range 🥗
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily 💦
- Read daily 📖
- Do something fun or creative daily 🧶 🖍️🎮 🎉
- Be better about checking in daily with this thread! ✅

December is fast approaching so let's hit these goals hard this month💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽2 -
@Heretochange88 @RoblinB @Stacimfit
Yall killed it last month - way to set the tone and inspire the living eff out of me. Appreciate yall!!1 -
Hi there! Finally able to type more than three words now I'm on my computer haha.
I am going into my second month here really (i joined the month before I think but I wasn't quite ready so it doesn't count)
Last month I started a medical bariatric program which is a specific food plan with weekly group therapy sessions. Just before starting the program, I hit my highest weight ever, at nearly 400lb. My physical health was a mess- barely could walk, can't bend, painful to get in and out of bed, personal hygiene being an impossible task at times.
I am down nearly 25lb already and feeling some benefits. I can't wait to see what happens in the coming weeks and months!
I have an important event in February where I have to fly to Utah. I have to buy certain clothes at that time and I would love to be a couple of dress sizes down.
Goals for November:
* Be in the 350's (about a 13lb loss, so a big task)
* Average 7,000 steps a day
* Swim/Youtube workout 3x a week
Non weight loss related goals
* finish current school course
* read scriptures daily, at least 1 chapter.
* daily gratitude
