Kathy & Paula, Good Going, Ladies!!!
Collin and I walked for a bit this morning until he fell asleep then I brought him home and Pat took over while I went to Raley's and shopped for raspberries and strawberries. We got the worst looking fruit day before yesterday. I might go over to Lucky's next time. I remember them having better produce. It's been so long since I went shopping that I forgot what my secret code was...my phone number...it was pretty funny with the check out clerk playing along tho!! He was a crack up!!
I got 5.36 miles done in 107 mins to the post office and back today. I was breezy and pretty warm out there!!
I'm going to see if I can get some help putting whirly gigs around the rocks under the tree now.

Kathy you did it! In the 160’s. Congratulations. And what a day yesterday was for you.

Paula you are down 10 pounds. Fantastic. Way to go.

Chris are you starting to enjoy getting out more? And I hate passwords for everything. I need 3 different ones just to clock in and start working in the morning. And they change every 6 months.

I did a great upper body workout tonight. Then a short stretch. Was not a fan of it. To many props I just don’t keep in my gym. And just not necessary. Then I walked around the yard. Irises are getting close to opening. So are some early clematis’s. Then I noticed the hibiscus were starting to come up everywhere. Love this time of year.

Shelley, we'll just have to wait and see if I like going out again. I'm turning into a couch potato. I'm going to go shopping again Monday...I think. I checked Lucky's and I'm probably going to Raley's because I need diced veggies for my soup and Lucky's doesn't do that. I have to pay more attention to my soup this next time because I burned it again this last time...ugh!
The whirly gigs did not stop the cat at all. The big poop jumped right over them into the tree!! I chased him out before he could do any damage, but he's driving me crazy!!! ugh!
Collin and I walked 2+ miles today around the high school...he did not sleep a wink!! It was beautiful out there! I was done by the time he was picked up and didn't go out again.
There is No School tomorrow, so I'll walk in the morning. We will get the boys around 2:30 so Sara and Pete can have a Date Night.
    That's all for now...

Chris darn that cat. Sorry about your soup. It depresses me when I burn anything. Date night. Why didn’t I think of those. I could surely use one.

Today was the prelim for a 15 year old being tried as an adult. He is accused of shooting his ex girlfriend in the face. She was buried today. So sad.

I worked out to FitOn. It was a great workout. Then went to Chinese dinner with Rocky. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Shelley, haven't seen the cat since I scared him out of the tree. May it continue that way. I put chili flakes out and coffee grounds. We'll see.
I got 5.18 miles done in 100 mins this morning to the Ruins and back. There was a pretty fierce wind today! It's probably the reason why I averaged 3.1 mph...the wind pushed me home!!!
Date night worked out. I took Collin for a walk and he fell asleep for an hour and 45 mins!! He was okay with the wind. He's a hot baby, that boy. Ronan and Pat played computer games.
Now, I'm going to get a shoulder rub. :)

Glad that worked out for you. Perfect little nap.

I worked on painting my ceiling tonight with Rocky. Tomorrow we should be able to finish the painting. Touch up and second coat on 2 walls. I am hoping to get in some time on my gardening. So relaxing. So is painting though. And my arms and shoulders didn’t even get tired. All those exercises paid off.

Finally had enough energy yesterday to get an upper body strength session in along with a short full body stretch.

Chris you’re killing those miles as usual. My youngest sister has 3 grandsons from her oldest daughter, Elijah, Elias and Evan…their father’s name is Edward. 😊 They are so cute and their Papa and grandma love having them over. And they never want to leave.

Btw my oldest sister named her only son Ahmad. My two younger sisters continued and named their kids also starting with the letter A. So I have 8 nieces and nephews who’s name start with A. The kids called themselves the A team. I guess April continued the tradition with the “E” team.

I’m a very lucky aunt/great aunt. Or as some of my nieces call me “everyones mama”. 😂

Shelley those upper body workouts have really paid off. Although I think you were always very strong. I have a bathroom that needs painting!

Paula congratulations on your 10 pounds down.

Karen Hope graduation/prom season is going great. Can’t wait to see Bella’s dress.

I went to Raley's this morning...got a ton of groceries. Then put on my shoes and did 5.33 miles in 105 mins to the Ruins and back. Now I'm making soup. It's been a full day and my feet are crying!!! :D

So it’s official, yesterday was my 65th birthday. I am now a senior! But I’ve decided 65 is the new 55. I started the day with a 13 minute stretch and a 28 minute arms and abs workouts. I had a wonderful day with the fam and great evening with Ron. Most importantly my mom gave me the biggest hug and wished me a Happy Birthday. I’m very blessed to see another year. Here’s a few pictures.

    Happy Birthday, Kathy! Beautiful pictures!
Had a gathering at Sara's this afternoon. All her friends were there and Pete's mom. It got too frantic for me. Too much loud talking. Too many talking at the same time. Little kids playing in the water table. Ugh! Guess being retired changed a lot for me. Plus, Sara asked yesterday...after I got home from shopping and walking, if we would bring a fruit salad. Pat and I shopped this morning for the ingred and put it together before I went to my trainer's for an hour. As soon as I got home from my exercise, we headed over to Sara's.
    Home now.

Oh my. I have missed so much.

Chris I can also get antsy around to much stimuli in the people area. I am lucky though. I just kick them out of court. Lol

Kathy I love all the photos. Your shoes match that dress even. Have I mentioned I dress frumpy? Nice workouts. Love that A team. I would mix up their names. I am so bad.

I have not done any workouts for 3 days. Got carried away painting. Kathy have the paint ready when I visit and I will paint your bathroom. I actually enjoy painting. :)

We finished the living room by Saturday. Went shopping for plants. More flowers. Then started on a dining room wall. Had to move a piece of furniture first. wrp524e7lks5.jpeg

It was a huge undertaking. But so worth it. We weeded out 3 bags of crap while doing it. Finally all the walls are the same light gray.

After the first coat was applied we went shopping. More plants lol. I found some fuscias and then a grape vine. I still have to plant them. Then back to paint the second coat and put everything back.

Today we went on the mountain and roasted hotdogs. So quiet up there.

Forgot to mention there is a bar on the right side. The door folds down and it is mirrored inside. I bought the unit in Germany back in 1984. It was made in Belgium.

Today was a lot of standing in courts. 2.5 hours for preliminaries. Sure are a lot of folks that are ok with driving while drunk. And drugs! It ain’t the punk kids using them all the time. It’s the adults who have taken the easy route. Oh well.

Made a chocolate cake for work. It is a vegan cake that was vegan before it was a thing. :D

I got in a short upper body workout tonight. Push-ups and planks. Some band work also. Then some quality time sitting outdoors in the sunshine.

I have my trainer today for 60 mins after we have Collin Duty. School is almost over!!
Yesterday I walked him in his stroller for 1.64 miles in 57 mins...it was hot at 8:00 a.m. and not wind!! I was soaked when we got home. He was asleep until some male with a deep voice was mans-planning something to me and woke him up. Collin got a 30 min nap. We'll see what today holds.

    Kathy,

What a beautiful outfit! That color is striking on you and the dress is very graceful - you look so elegant.

And I agree that 65 isn't old anymore. Being retired feels like playing hooky: no alarm clock, not sick - just perfectly healthy and free to goof off, play around, have fun and hang out with loved ones.

Chris I hope what that deep voice was planning was worth waking him. Maybe a special outing.

Paula I loved skipping school back in the day. Senior skip day was taken very seriously by me.

Wednesday I was able to get in a 10 minutes stretch, a 24 minute HIIT Arms and Abs w/o and 20 minutes on the recumbent.

Paula thank you. I actually felt elegant in that dress and really loved the color.

Shelley it great to get rid of stuff even when it wasn’t in the plan. I continue to purge different areas in my house.

Chris school is out here in Atlanta and it makes such a huge difference in traffic which is good as mom has a lot of appointments.

Today Collin and I walked again and he fell asleep...an hour 45 mins!! I ordered a pillow for his head when he falls asleep because his head is so near his shoulder that I get worried about his breathing. Anyway, it'll be here tomorrow...I love Amazon!!...so I'll let you guys know how it works out.
Sara got pink eye again! I still have a gravelly voice...not sure what it is.
    I'm going to read now.

Kathy - Happy belated 65th birthday! Love the pictures.

Just got up on everybody's post. It's been quite a whirlwind for the past couple of weeks. Lots of end of the school year activities. I was in Texas this week for work which turned out to be a really good trip. We did what is called senior Walk last night at the high school. Basically the seniors walk in their cops and gowns through the school and take pictures that are meaningful to them. Attaching a couple of the really good pictures that we took of Bella.

    Tomorrow is prom!

And then hopefully I can rest and refocus. Definitely need to get back into my groove. It's been a challenging couple of weeks but almost on the other end of it :-)

    Happy almost June!

Kathy you are within a whisper of your goal. It will be like a head start for this month’s goal my friend.

Chris I can’t wait to see it.

Karen glad to hear all went well. My granddaughter graduated last night. She was less traditional than your daughter. You all look so happy. And excited for the next chapter in your lives.

I joined a beginner women’s weight lifting class at the YMCA. Was kind of am impulse. But only for 4 weeks. I enjoy my workouts with Kathy to much to give them up.
