Challenge club! MAY!

Other groups have a challenge. Usually monthly.
There’s teams sometimes. And other stuff to keep it interesting.
So I think it’s time to start one just for us.
Set your own challenge and check in here either daily or weekly.
Each month I will start a new discussion for that month.
Yeah… we’re halfway through May. Oh well. It’s as good a time as any to start this challenge.
I have set myself a goal of 2.5 miles average on my NuStep.
So far so good, but I haven’t done any exercise yet today so at the point of posting I am, for the purpose of this challenge, at zero.
Set your own goals. Be it logging in daily, or a weight loss (or gain if that’s your thing) or whatever goal you’re aiming for.
Let’s GOooooooo!!!!

Excellent!!!! Thanks MFP!1 -
I did 7.35 miles on my NuStep.
I have a phone holder on the handle and I watched a performer on TicToc live while I was exercising. I had thought I would go for 5 miles but I just kept on going.
I definitely recommend immersing yourself in something like that when you’re on an exercise machine. It really helps the time go by faster.1 -
5 miles last night.
I got a good phone holder for my NuStep. I cover the NuStep’s display and just watch YouTube or TickTock.
If you scroll through TickTock lives (there is a lot of very weird stuff) you will eventually find someone:
Shark fishing
Walking through Brooklyn
Walking through Seoul
Walking through Paris
Performing a country music live act
A bird feeder live feed
And a bunch of other entertaining things.
This is the holder I got.
It was a little tricky to put together. I did need assistance because the springs were too strong for my hands.
But once it got together and I put it on the handle of my NuStep? It’s very easy to get my phone on and off. I can adjust the angle easily. And it’s low profile enough not to get in the way at any point.

Just saw the challenge feed ! You’re going well on your Nustep ! 👍
My knees have been such a pain the last few weeks , sometimes barely even taking a few hundred steps a day
So my challenge is to be more accountable with my physio exercises!
I saw a Chinese medicine practitioner (I’m trying to kick start new ideas and routines ) he said I was one of the most complicated cases in all his 30 years practicing 😜 ! So that gave me hope …. NOT 🤣
Anyway going to Do my little plan 3 times a day , to strengthen leg and ankle muscles 💪1 -

I did ten miles last night just to see if I could.
I could.
I shouldn’t have.
🤣
I too need to be more accountable with my physio. I had our last apps couple days ago. She asked if I spent a lot of time slouched over doing crafts.
I think she knew I was fudging when I said “not that much”
I really do need to not do that.
Anyway. If/when the newsfeed goes away, this might be my central space for updates and encouragement of others.
I may need to set the group back to private at that point though.
Which would probably mean a lot of engagement on the main forums inviting newbies to participate.
I might want to ask the admins about making this group part of a recommended support groups post or something.0 -
I am up to 105 miles on my NuStep in May so far.

My May total is 122 miles.
Average 3.9 miles daily. So I definitely missed a few days, mostly at the beginning of the month.
I ended the month able go do 10 miles, and able to do 7 miles relatively easily.
I also bumped the resistance from 4 to 5.
I realize that I am the only participant in this challenge.
Everyone is welcome to join.
But I will be closing May and opening a June challenge thread.1
