@CLEPANT - Sorry, that sounds pretty miserable. Any break from the heat soon in the forecast?
Have a great weekend, everybody!

Dean, sending you good thoughts. I'm so sorry that's happening. Please stay safe whatever you decide to do.

@Dave: aWe are in for at least two more days. 20,ooo were out of power since we had the downward depression on Monday. Last of people will get power back tonight.
A former PE teacher was electrocuted Tuesday night when he came off of red trail in the park where I hike. He road right into downed power lines. His bike caught the wires and he was tangled in them. They had to wait awhile for the power company to respond and shut down the power. They put caution tape on the entrance of the trail earlier, , but they did not put it on the other side of the lines or at other entrances on the trail.
So terribly sad. Kind of like the ranger that road right into the beer where Dean lives.
Hope things are improving with your FIL, you and Jenn.
Keeping good thoughts for everyone for better days ahead.

Hi everyone, I hope you are staying cool.
@sufferlandrian - I hope you find a solution soon. We so admire your dedication to the animals but we worry about you. This sounds like a case of "put your own mask on first." You can't help anyone else if you're not well yourself.
And that's goal for me. Woot!1 -

@Janet: The heat has been oppressive here. I managed to cut grass as we were expecting rain. We did get a short shower. We could use more rain. I am hoping for some in the am. I force myself to walk and to do some yard work each day. We also had tornado warnings tonight, but I think they expired. Hope you are doing as well in the heat wave. Goal for me!

For those of you in the heat wave and those in the flooding, I hope things improve quickly. I've seen small clips on the news and it looks TERRIBLE!!! I thought when the heat bubble built in over the midwest that drought would be the problem. Guess that only applies in some places. I can't imagine being in that much heat and having flooding. Hang in there folks. Thinking of all y'all.2
