Thanks Laure—not even remotely close re the dyi. There's a reason they make the big bucks: knowledge and experience combined! Now for some communications and marketing thrown in (but without the business shark component of veterinarians!!!!)

Logging on here seems better; swifter?
Anyone gon onto Premium? Considering it here ….just in case free goes for good!

The big thing w/MFP was always the community. My *** impression *** is that they are "ditching" the community to try to provide "plans" and "foods" and what have you and generate more revenue.

They've also increased the base calories for the sedentary level. While literature support DOES exist for this, there is also a potential to slow down loss for people who are estimated at MORE than 1200 for their desired rate of loss. Since 1200 is an indication that one's desired rate of loss exceeds the "floor" for Calories, the change has no effect for people who are looking at 1200.

Anyway. A while back there were some announcements about account data retention for people on free accounts that have been walked back since then. This prompted me to start logging on Cronometer. Crono does not have some of the foods that MFP does. But it does have "enough" and it is easy enough to find similar items and it is easy to create new entries.

Aw PAV8888 - I hope you get some answers soon. I didn’t get along well with Ramapril… caused my kidneys to increase uric acid. Gave me gout type symptoms in my big toe! Was painful.
Hope your “bods” can give you answers soon.

Not sure what it adds at this point. Might be worthwhile? I've gone paid on cronometer mainly because of the time stamps when logging. I already had the ad free mobile crono app from years ago (good single pay investment no longer available) and the web is taken care off for both them and mfp by ad blocking, so it was not the ad aspect that was my personal concern. But ads can otherwise be a significant issue with all of these apps, of course. And MFP uses a LOT of data on mobile with their ads).

Mmmm … true is that! Ads on MFP!!

Funny thing (?).. other day, I was watching something on Sky Glass & OH & I - we got to talking about Mini cars - thinking of ordering one via my work Fleet plan. I am now inundated… literally with such ads…..Are we all being stalked via our devices ? 👀 saying that though , I’m probably getting same number about double glazing, heat pumps & solar panels!

    Yes. See "interest based" ads
