    Good afternoon, hope you all are well. I really slept well last night. We got up yesterday at 7:30 am, left for Oklahoma at 9, got there at 1:30, (I called them telling the we were running late, Don was driving like we had all the time in the world). We saw the dr at 2:10. Left at 3, got home at 7. We took Kayla with us and she was very good, especially having to stay in the car while we were in the office. But great news is with this surgery Don is cancer free. He does have to go for 6 month check ups for 2 years but that is ok. Dr Patel gave us a name of a specialist in Oregon that is close to where we will be moving too. I think my blood pressure will go down now too. I am so grateful.
    Hugs and blessings

    @ALL so sorry I POOFED for a bit. I went into the ER, they've taken care of the issue (Pretty fast!! In only 6 hours!) In turn many in the ER have so many viruses, of which I brought home with me, a 24 hours one!! NOT that I wanted one, but yeah. It'll take me a few to catch up with all on MFP.

    @Patti241, I am so sorry he'll have to go to another place!! I sure hope they can find one close to where you are, is that even an option? I know much depends on the insurance we have. Rarely can one pay cash. We did for my Dad back in 2016, but it was one thousand a day cash. He could do that, but many can not. It helped us to keep him in the local community.
    @Kurtize, OH HON!! WOOHOO!!! SO HAPPY to hear about Don doing better!!! OH THANKFULLY!!! HAPPY DANCE!! Be so nice for you to relocate OR!! HAPPY NEWS!!

    @Dianedoessmiles1 - Glad to hear of a quick rebound. Now hurry and shake that bug!

    @Patti241- just catching up. What's the latest on your friend? Hugs and prayers for you.

    @Kurtize - So glad to hear of your DH's good news. Where in Oregon are you moving? We live in EO on the Columbia River near Pendleton.

    @gouldsgranite we will be moving to Florence Or, on the coast. We lived there before. My husband's brother has a home there and in CA, he can't travel much so asked if we would live in his house and take care of hit and just pay HOA, couldn't resist that offer. So we are heading back to OR.

    Contacted the realtor to put house back on market, started back to packing and making lists to be sure we get everything done. It's a busy time. Called movers to find out what info they need and when. If everything keeps going right we will leave the last week in Feb.

    It has been in the high 50's, rained a little. Other than that nothing new.
    @Patti241 how is your friend doing.

    Hugs all

    @Kurtize - That's such an awesome deal for you. Florence is wonderful. Best wishes as you make the move.

    @Patti241 - That is good news for him. Did you have to move to the other hospital? Prayers for you both.

    @Dianedoessmiles1 - same ole dawg here. Slower, yet still moving! WOOF!
    Got the puzzle done. Cute, food trucks on the beach. We're trying to motivate ourselves to shift hobbies vs. more puzzling. I'm dragging my feet, we need to start some seeds and I want to grow spinach and Lettuce in a mud box in the shop while it's cool. Next week for sure. Tuesday we travel to celebrate Papashop's moms birthday- 2.4.25 she's turning 100!

    @Patti241 its going to snow a TINY BIT tonight and I LOVE IT!! Are you wintered out? I think in March, I'll be looking forward to warmer, but NOT HOT temps. LOL We are fickle beings!
    @Gouldsgranite, LOL the motto still HOLDS my dear "ONCE a DAWGGIE, ALWAYS A DAWGGIE!" Of course, we are both leaders on different teams, but all leaders on all teams have the same goals. Helping our dear members to achieve a healthy life!!! i am so happy we found MFP to land on when Sparks closed!! WOW!! We've been here and active on the challenge since the FALL of 2021!! YUMMY FRESH spinach and lettuce!! Do you grow different types of lettuce? I'm always playing with various hobbies, yet, LOL Master of none. HOW COOL that Papashop's Mom will be 100!!! Will she tell people her secret to that?

    It was only less than an hour past midnight where I live, and I've had my first encounter with the new HH. I asked myself if I was hungry and found hunger. Looked at my food log and enough time has passed since I last ate that a mini meal or snack is ok now.

    But what hit me was that I didn't feel hungry until I went looking for it. There was actually another trigger that had me thinking about eating. I am reminded that words matter, and it's important for me to phrase things in a way that my mind will visualize the positive result I really want, because often we find what we look for. So, for this challenge my question isn't going to be "Am I hungry?" but "Am I still satisfied?" If I look for being content, feeling full and satisfied, I may just find that and delay eating. Sharing here in case that will make a difference for someone else.

    I first discovered this when someone prayed over me for pain and then asked if the pain had decreased. I went looking for pain - and found it. I have floaters in both eyes and one day I noticed I didn't see them and got all excited and wanted to be sure they were gone, so I looked for them. And they came back. Then I did a little research and found that if ignored rather than focused on, sometimes the brain can get used to looking past them so you don't see them anymore. I believe that is what happened, but as soon as I looked for them, I could see them, because they were still there and it's taken months for them to fade into the background again. I'm learning I need to focus on and look for what I want to find, not what I expect to find. To look for wellness, health, contentment, and still satisfied from the last meal.

    Thank you for sharing.

    @patti241- same. I'm wintered out and we haven't even had snow! Forecast for this week. I can see an end coming and I'm grateful for that.

    @dianedoessmiles1- My DMIL is a self described - Tough old bird. A God fearing Michigan farm girl - At peace with her existence, she's always loved life day by day, makes the best of whatever comes, yet strong in what she prefers. She's been ready to go to heaven ever since I've known her..
    Maybe this is part of her longevity. Her girls still take her to the casino on occasion, she's lucky at Bingo at the assisted living facility. No moss grows under her scooter!

    @Patti241, Glad he's better today!! Does this mean he's going to rehab soon? or has he.
    @Dnjoys, Love the rephasing you did asking instead "Am I still satisfied?"
    @Gouldsgranite ,,, Oh I'd LOVE TO meet your DMIL!! LOL she's a SKETCH!!! Love her attitude!!
    @Kurtize WOOHOO HAPPY FEBRUARY!!

    @Patti241 - oh what GOOD NEWS! He must be so happy. You too!

    @Kurtize - Amen to February!

    @Dianedoessmiles1 - looks like we are getting our snow - up to 7" forecast - on DMIL's birthday. We will not be traveling to see her and family on her day. Turns out having her "gender-reveal" party last July was a great idea! LOL. Over 50 family members all had matching purple shirts - all personalized for her. What fun!

    @Patti241 , oh good! Yeah! Will he have to watch his sodium? Do you get food for you all or does he?
    @Gouldsgranite I'm so sorry about the not being able to travel there. Though that is a very wise decision! No one wants to woohoo a family member and possibly lose 1 or more others. Love the shirts! Every family reunion we order shirts ahead of time. Lol some have them all. I got my first one this past summer! The resort we stayed at was in the Adirondack mountains. Gorgeous! Many would stop of to ask what was the gathering for. Lol our shirts said "Roberts Family Reunion". People are silly. Are you going to call her or send her a card type thing? I found others adore cards or both. They reread them often.

    Good Morning VIP friends:

    I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Monday and it is going to be a great day. Today we close on our new home. I am so excited about that. Cannot wait. I have today off so that we can get our things done that we need to get done. We will officially be moving in on Friday. So that is pretty awesome. Going to be an interesting week.

    @Dianedoessmiles1 - I am glad it sounds like you are feeling better and that the hospital was able to treat you quickly. I hope you are doing better now.
    @Kurtize - Wow that is crazy. You moving all that way. I hope your move goes well.
    @DNjoys - That is rough. It is hard to get our bodies to recognize when we are hungry or not.

    Well I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

    @patti241 - Good morning!

    @Kurtize - our first snowfall comes today. Yay! Can't leave winter behind until....

    @Dianedoessmiles1 - We ordered her a fitting 100th birthday bouquet. She loves purple and roses and flowers so I'm excited she'll get it today a day early. I often send her cards. She always loves them too! My list of card people is 2. Feel as it's a thing of the past. I used to send them to the gks for birthdays. Then they grew up and now we text message everything instead.
