@AthleteLori, Chemo beats one up while also helping them. Hopefully they'll check all of your levels and be able to help you. Happy to have you continuing with us. I love our theme this round "Self Care" so many of us need this. Likely this will help you also. I'm so sorry you've been through so much. Start off not making too many changes at once. Build on them.
@Tabatha_Cain WOOHOO on the overtime!! That's great!!! I love my heating pad on my bed!! LOL So do the 2 kitties! Hate to say it, but they do have meds that can calm down the nerve pain. YO! That's so painful. I have gotten beyond that part. I am not sure it seems I was on tramadol or something like that for fibro, but it was years ago.
@Patti241 did you get much rain? Yesterday they said on the news today we'd have winds of 55 to 60 now that the storm in on our doorstep its 45 to 50. They are still saying widespread power outages, but at 45 MPH it's not bad at all. At 50 not really that bad. It takes 55 to 60 and more so near 70.1 -
Happy Wednesday, It was a very cold morning, in 20's but has warmed up to 50 degrees right now.
Hope your day has gone well. Your all in my prayers and thoughts. Hugs.

Due to an impending snow I had a private stretch class. I also filled her in on my health issues. Today was all about me. It was great!! It's amazing how doing slow movements can do so much.
We are expecting 1 to 2 feet of snow tonight. 😨0 -
@Kurtize, TY TY TY TY!!! we have RAIN POURING DOWN!! We've3 been in the 30s, but with this front, it has hot temps (LOL for winter). Wahhhh if this had been my precious snow we'd of gotten 18 to 24 inches!!
@Sweetpeasmom55, LOVE today was a private class for you!! How nice!! Hmmmmm did you GET MY SNOW??????0 -
Good Morning VIP friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Thursday and it is going to be a great day. Joe goes to his Kidney doctor today and we will hopefully find out what we are doing with a kidney that has not moved in 2 years and has grown in size despite all the water he is drinking. So that is what we will be doing this afternoon. I only work from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and then I will make up the hours on Saturday.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - They do have me on Mobic 15 mg for the Fibro pain but for some reason it does not touch this nerve issues. It is weird. Yeah the overtime is not too bad. It is only 2 extra hours a day and I get a break before starting my regular shift so I can get up and move around. So that is good.
@SweetPeasMom55 - Oh man that is a lot of snow. Glad you got some one on one time with the instructor. I am sure that will help.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday
Tabatha0 -

GINGERBREAD HOUSE DAY
Gingerbread House Day on December 12th recognizes a family tradition for many around the country.
#GingerbreadHouseDay
A favorite food of an Armenian monk, Gregory of Nicopolis, brought gingerbread to Europe around 992 AD and taught French Christians to bake it. Since gingerbread was often used in religious ceremonies, monks baked to be sturdy to molded into images of saints.
We can thank the Brothers' Grimm for a gingerbread house, though. Through their tale of Hansel and Gretel, they introduce an evil witch who lives in a house made of gingerbread. It didn't take long for the German gingerbread guilds to pick up the idea. Soon, they put gingerbread houses to a more festive use making snowy cottages made from the spicy-sweet treat. Today, we can spend the day baking, cutting, and building to our heart's delight. Kits take some steps out of the process so we can get right down to constructing our winter wonderlands. HOW TO OBSERVE GINGERBREAD HOUSE DAY
Gather the family together, bake up some gingerbread, and start building and decorating your very own gingerbread house. Give the recipe below a try.
Gingerbread House Recipe
Other ways to celebrate include:
• Reading Hansel and Gretel.
• Hosting a house-building party.
• Touring gingerbread displays.

Diane: Got a lot of rain yesterday. Wind was not that bad though.0

Good afternoon all. It has warmed up, today in 60's.
@Tabatha_Cain hope all goes well and you get good positive results on Joe's kidney problem.
I got a 2nd postcard on my Grand Canyon walk.
Nothing too much else new here. Hugs all

If this picture comes up this was out the window at work. It's only a 4-lane highway and we had more whiteouts than visibility. Yesterday we had grass today over 2 ft of snow with another 2/3 coming.
@Dianedoessmiles1 I have had my fill please take your snow back.

@Tabatha_Cain , how did Joe's appointment go? Do you know his efgr #? Mine has gone from 53 to 42-44. I'm concerned, but it's still doable. Glad you can pick up hours on Saturday. Lol PS4L we call it Caturday. Our team loves cats! They do have meds for the nerve pain. I have mine under control by using my foam roller. I put put my leg on it and move my leg side to side. It hurts but it's also instant relief.
@Patti241 , we also got rain. It came down hard! Our highest wins was 44 MPH most in my area kept their electricity. However Downeast Maine most lost theirs. That's pretty common and most
have generators.
@Kurtize , thinking of you and Don. I had a sleep study last night. I was done early so at Panera lol a bagel and am only 3 minutes back to where it was for Lyft to Lyft me up! I hope I slept enough. They have you all hooked up to machines with leads from head to toe! And cameras that watch you sleep. It feels like one those freaky movies where people are kidnapped and held against their will with cameras recording everything! Lolol good things I didn't think of that last night! Id of not slept!
@Sweetpeasmom55, where do you live? We used to measure in feet. Now inches. I do not like global warming! Hopefully today you can around easily. I lived for a tiny bit in Colorado (Aurora around the time of the shooting) funniest weather ever! It'd snow but the next day most of it would melt. My GD2 would be outside in Feb "sunbathing." And she's burn! We laughed so hard.0 -
@Dianedoessmiles1 I live in the south towns outside of Buffalo NY. It's the lake effect snow that gets us. Today looks so much better travel wise. My daughter lives in TN and they shut down completely over a couple inches. We have whiteout conditions and we are expected to be at work. I sent her a picture last year where I opened the garage door and we had 4 ft of snow. 😂😂 I had to dig out to get to work. Not going to lie we complain non stop about driving to work. Our VP is the town supervisor. She prides herself in not calling a travel ban. If there's a travel ban we get to stay home. I too am not a fan of global warming. I don't understand how people don't see it or choose not to. We use to have snow from Nov through March. Now we get it and then it melts then we get hit and so on. We were laughing at work as we all own snow pants. I had them in the car just in case. It's only a mile drive but a mile in a snow storm can feel like a hundred. I had to order more shear pins as we only have one spare and I was thankful we had one when the snow blower had one break. I was and am thankful hubby is taking care of the driveway. He is retired and I think his family lectured him to start helping me.🙏
We are starting the goodies at work. I'm trying very hard to limit the binge eating. Corporate is non stop food so thankful we don't have that. I'm now considering staying where I am. Less stress a healthier environment. Pros and cons it won't be posted til March/April and I can make a sound healthy decision.0 -

NATIONAL GUARD BIRTHDAY
December 13th commemorates the National Guard Birthday. On December 13th, 1636, the Massachusetts General Court established an official militia for the first time in the American Colonies.
#NationalGuardBirthday
A component of the United States Army, the National Guard is primarily composed of citizen-soldiers who hold down full-time, civilian jobs, attend school, or as is often the case, both. At the same time, they are available to provide support and protection for the states' civilians or be called for military operations at a national level.
Each U.S. state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the territories of Guam and U.S. Virgin Islands maintain both an Army National Guard and an Air National Guard.
National Guard Mission
National Guard Soldiers serve both community and country. Our versatility enables us to respond to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counter-drug efforts, reconstruction missions, and more. The Guard always responds with speed, strength, and efficiency, helping to defend American freedom and ideals.
From before the American Revolution to Hurricane Katrina and beyond, the National Guard has provided support and protection for its citizens.
HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL GUARD BIRTHDAY
While not recognized as a Federal Holiday, National Guard members across the country celebrate the birth of the oldest military organization in the United States with galas, balls, and birthday parties. Since the National Guard is an integral part of each state, commonwealth, and territory, we all have a reason to celebrate this birthday! Take time to recognize a National Guard soldier or airman you know.

Hi I am Amy and I have been away for at least two years because of knee surgery. I am looking forward to being back and getting and giving encouragement and motivation. I hope I did this right. I filled out the Questionnaire and signed up for the Shape Shifters. However, I didn't see a blue button that said Join.
Amy0 -
@ittybitty456 must have done it right. You show up on shapeshifters list. You’ll get an invitation to join when the teams are finalised in plenty of time to participate in the trial week starting 4th January in the meantime don’t forget to have a look at these countdown pre challenge activities.they make you thin

Well the building we work in may be over 100 years old. There's no insulation but it's solid. Customer hit the gas instead of the brake and smashed into the building. Building shook but it's still standing and very little damage.0
-
Wow some of you are getting lots of snow. Wouldn't mind a little snow but not that much. Hope all are having a good day. Hugs0
-
@Sweetpeasmom55, oh, those pics is what it used to be like here! SO, PURDY!! I can't remove snow now, but moved into a 55 plus where we do not need to! YEAH!! It's always funny to see people who move into a unit here at first. Almost every snowstorm they'll be outside shoveling the sidewalks etc. they do not need to, but they "want to" that leaves them soon enough. LOL!! We do have to move our cars though, so cleaning off needs to be done. I no longer drive and do not miss doing that!! WOW on your building getting hit!! YO!!!! Glad no one was hurt though.
@Patti241, how did Friday go? Mine was okay.
@ittybitty456 HEY WELCOME BACK!! WOOHOO!!! I remember your name because I call Izzy (my almost 16 year old cat, I thought she was going to be 15, but I looked at her adoption papers born in 2009! YO OLD KITTY!) I call her "IttyBittyKitty" she's a whole 7 lbs so tiny. Now there's also a 2 1/2 yr old boy kitty he's a very solid 14 lbs. They are so funny side by side. The Shape Shifters will love having you!! The leaders are just putting together the teams. We'll make sure you get onto your team. Are you friends with @Gouldsgranite ? For now we are encouraging our members to do the pre assignments they'll help us all to be ready for the challenge as @Nansbones7708 does.
@Kurtize, Joyce, we hope you are also having a good day!

Good Morning VIP Friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Saturday. Joe and I were supposed to have the day off together, but one of his coworkers messaged him as he is the last resort because all 3 of her kids are sick with pneumonia. So she needed someone to cover her shift today. He took it. Obviously because he is a good guy, he did ask me first though and I was like take it. She is a mom and her kids need her right now. So he took it. He will work until noon and I will be home cleaning and running errands.
@SweetPeasMom55 - That looks horrible out there in your first couple of photos. I get that. We had that Thursday. The more recent picture looks a lot better. Your city or town actually does a decent job clearing the walk ways. Yeah that is definitely a solid building. Are they still letting you in the building.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - They have not done a kidney function test on Joe. They don't know what to the kidney stone is made of just that they cannot see it on an x-ray. They can only see it through ultrasound. No restricted diet yet. I will be looking for a lot of stuff for relief that is not medication.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday

NATIONAL WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA DAY
National Wreaths Across America Day is the culmination of a yearlong mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. This mission is in part carried out each December with the placement of sponsored veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of those who have served our country. The observance is designated annually on a Saturday in December by Congress.
#WreathsAcrossAmericaDay
By coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and at more than 3,100 other participating locations around the country, Wreaths Across America strives to remember our fallen heroes. The day honors those who serve. And it teaches our children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms. Remember. Honor. Teach.
HOW TO OBSERVE WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA DAY
All across the country, volunteers come together to lay wreaths on the gravesites of the military. You can help by volunteering, too. Bring your children, no matter their age. It's an excellent opportunity to teach them about the sacrifices our military and their families make and show respect for our military. You can also donate to make sure every fallen hero is honored. Many volunteers start by laying wreaths for their family members but find they continue to help each year. The meaning of a somber commitment of honoring service members with a wreath grows every year.
Volunteer or donate by visiting www.wreathsacrossamerica.org. Use #WreathsAcrossAmericaDay to post on social media.
NATIONAL WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA DAY HISTORY
In 1992 Morrill Worcester and his business Worcester Wreath Company of Harrington, Maine, had a surplus of wreaths toward the end of the holiday season. Years before as a young boy, Worcester visited Arlington National Cemetery in our Nation's capital. The experience reminded him throughout his life of the sacrifice some had made in order for others, including himself, to succeed and flourish.
Worcester made plans to lay the wreaths in honor of our Veterans at an older, less-visited section of Arlington National Cemetery. Volunteers stepped forward to help deliver and place the wreaths.
In 2007, the Wreaths Across America non-profit group was founded. Since then, the event has expanded to all 50 states to lay wreaths at veterans' cemeteries to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who serve and teach our children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.
Wreaths Across America traditionally lay wreaths on the second Saturday in December. Beginning in 2016, wreaths will be laid on a Saturday in December

Good Morning!
Diane I remember you too from the Gr8ter Team or whatever it was. That was two or three years ago. So glad I finally found the 5% Challenge again. I have missed all of you.
I lost 45 pounds to get my knee replacements but have put most of it back on. Now I am trying to get on a clean slate and start all over again. Decided to try a different team this time so we'll see how it goes.
I tried to send Gouldsgranite a friend request but when I clicked on her link it said user not found.
Hope you all have a nice day.
Amy0 -
@macrat12 we purchase one in honor of my husbands dad every year.
@SweetPeasMom55 I love your name. I called my first granddaughter "sweetpea' when she was just minutes old. She's 18 yrs now and I still call her that.1 -
Happy Saturday.

@Tabatha_Cain My Dad and sister suffer from large kidney stones. My sister is because she doesn't drink enough water. My dad needs a more acidic diet. So he has to drink lemonade. He has one stone that is too large. They tried blasting it but it hasn't budged.. Dad has decided he's going to keep it.
This is a hundred year old building. It is so sturdy and he hit where the original vault was. Had he hit our old building he would have been in the lobby. Today we walked in and one printer wrote nonsense on 200 sheets of paper. Another machine had it on the screen and refused to reboot. All the heating units were shut off. My co-workers believe the building is haunted.🙄 one wants to sage the building the other has ghost equipment and wants to talk to them. I said let's just put up a sign stating leave heat on. I told the one with the equipment to leave it be I don't want any evil portals being opened. The building is spooky as it is.
So I am putting extra thought into healthy habits. I have always done what was best for the family but never made myself a priority. My thoughts are focusing on just what would make me healthier and happier. Glad I have time to make a plan.👍0 -
@Kurtize the poinsettia is beautiful. I have one little kitty who helps with the plants so it's one plant I skip. We have them at work and love them.
@DrewsAnna I was always Emily's Mom then she grew up. I got this little cat and named her Sweet Pea best decision ever.0 -
Diane, I just found Gouldsgranite and sent her a friend request. What a small world it is. She also lives in Oregon and we only live 3 1/2 hours away from each other.
