@Tabatha_Cain - buying a home can be very stressful.

Well did snow today, in fact it is still snowing and hasn't stopped since early this morning.
Weather service says another 3 hours of snow until it stops. Here is some pictures of early this morning

Tomorrow is Don's surgery, we need to be there at 6:30 am. I asked if we were late if that would be ok because of the weather and notices a lot of stalled cars on the road. Plus not sure how easy it will to get out of here and they said just get here as you can and be safe.

Well that is all the new here. Kevin has electricity, which they are surprised and they are safe for now and David is safe but no electricity. David's friend lost their home. It is just so sad.
Well hugs and blessings. Prayers for the people in CA.

    Good Morning VIP friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Friday and I have so much to do. The house passed inspection. We were told we need home insurance effective 2/7/25. So it looks like it is a go on the house. We are still waiting on the well water test, the termite inspection, and the appraisal. Other than that everything is good. I cannot wait.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - I do need to make sure to keep my friends. I am hoping the neighbors I have now will stay my friends.
@Kurtize - Wow that is some decent snow. Definitely prayers for CA. Most of the time surgery places will allow you to be 15 minutes late before they call to make sure you are coming.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

@Kurtize - Yes, prayers for all in CA wildfires path. Prayers for your husband's surgery.

    @Patti241 - Good morning!

Excited for the challenge start. The HH focus fresh and new. I even made a journal, lol. Not very crafty in that way, folded some fancy paper in half and tied yarn for the binder. Made 2 and Papashop started using his already!

@Tabatha_Cain , OH COOL!!! Here's hoping!! Will it be in time so your house will still sell as scheduled? Tabatha, I learned so much from my Mom, a very wise woman!! Especially the part of people of various ages as friends. I do well with having older friends, (one is almost 90! I am in my mid 60s) she's a HOOT and than some!! She can get us laughing quite hard, yet she's a very dignified lady, which we all benefit from. I'd say "a true southern bell" but she's not from the south, but the rest of it describes her very well. A classy lady.
@Patti241 tomorrow we MIGHT get a dusting to perhaps 2"s, but that's literally NOTHING though anything is nice. If my body can handle it I'm planning on going out to walk in it to the grocery store and back.
@Gouldsgranite would you like to share what your HH focus will be for the 8 weeks? Remember members Pick only 1 to do for the 8 weeks and read what it is written. Its important to never "Guess" what a Health Habit is about. In the past the points and what to count could be the same from challenge to challenge, but not any more. This I agree Janey is VERY exciting!! I'll be working on a low sodium diet, I'll not pin it as being hard, but as progress -- not putting "be in sodium range daily" that would only discourage me so much. This is the hardest HH I can work on, but very important at this time to both my heart and kidneys.

How about the rest of you? What will be your HH (Health Habit) Focus for the 8 weeks?

Good afternoon and happy Friday. Don's surgery went well. We arrived there at 6:15 and got home at 11:30. They removed the tumor and it skin they had to remove was 2 in x 1.25 inches. The replaced skin is from his thigh. He is feeling good.

The snow we had yesterday broke records. Longest day of snowing since 2015 (started snowing around 6:30am and didn't stop until around 4 - 4:30PM) and for the most snow, 9.5 inches, last record was 6 inches in 2021.

Next week we only 1 dr appt. the week after we have 4 the only day free is Wednesday. On the 21st is when we also have to go back to Oklahoma. Hoping that report will say no more surgeries.
Well that is all I can think of.

    Good Morning VIP friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Saturday and it is going to be a busy day. I have to pack and I have to work from 9:30 am to 6 pm. I offered to cover someone's shift today because they needed it off. So I offered to cover for them. We also have to pack and I think I have someone coming over to look at my clothes. I have a whole bunch of clothes that I don't need or want anymore and I will be getting rid of them.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - We will hopefully be closing on my house first because I have to use the money to pay closing on the new house. I have distant friends. Non to hang out with. They all live far away. I guess I should work on fixing that.
@Kurtize - That is good that Don is feeling well. That is a lot of snow. I think we got a ton as well. It would be nice if your report said no more surgeries.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday

@Tabatha_Cain Congrats on the house hunt! It took us 6 contracts over 6 months to get our current home. We waited 2 months on one house that ended up having more liens on the property than it was worth! The others either didn't pass inspection or we were outbid. But, we have gained almost $400k equity in the 12 years we've been here now, so I guess it was a good investment. ;)

Happy first day of the Winter Challenge all! It's finally here and I definitely need it this go around after all the holidays. Enjoy your day!

    Hi 👋

My name is Anna 😊 I believe this is where I (we) meet the cheerleaders. I'm have been struggling with my weight for a long time now. I started Wegovy mid-November and so far it has helped me get about 6-7 lbs off.

I have a dog, my best buddy, Chipper. He's always my ride or die ❤️

Right now, my biggest goal is to wor on my Freggies, mostly veggies because I really don't eat enough of them. Also, exercise, my best walking partner currently has a torn ACL so he can't go with me. I don't have the heart to go without him.

@DrewsAnna This is the Community Team. You meet the cheerleaders on the team you are racing with. You are a Rain Dancer.

I'm glad you returned to the challenge, and I am rooting for you to get those freggies in.

Please also post on your team page to get the points for your team.

Good afternoon all and happy Saturday. Wishing you all much success as you proceed through the challenge. Today is a bit warmer and the snow is beginning to melt. Don's hand has been hurting and he finally took the pain medicine the dr. gave him. He hates taking medicine.
Have a great rest of your day.

@Tabatha_Cain - glad everything is moving smoothly with the house.

    Hugs all

@Tabatha_Cain That is so nice of you to of switched with your coworker!! No doubt they'll do the same for you. When others hear of it, it just brings up your reputation of being a good team player. A WIN/WIN and as you get ready to move that may come in handy!! With the selling your home I hope it goes fast, but if not there must be a way of a guarantee on the new house when the money comes in from the sale of your place now. That only makes sense. Ohh Tabatha, I hope you do reach out to make friends, I can't imagine feeling the way some do who have no one who cares for them as they are older. Sure kids do to a point, but!|
@macrat12 , Sarah have you made a vision board for this challenge? If so we'd love to see it. I am working on mine last night in my mind a lot of it came together now to just finish putting it all together and I'll happily post it on the

@Patti241 FINALLY today we got a tiny bit! WOOHOO!!!! I am thrilled though it was about only an inch, I'll TAKE IT!

@Ronnie_happy2ranch , That's great about your house!! In the past 4 years here in Maine houses have more than doubled, in the city I am in almost 2 1/2 times what they were before the pangdangitall. Granted locals can not afford to live here, our children certainly can't. I find it sad my GD couldn't and found a house an hour away. I could be seeing my Great Grandbabies a LOT MORE!
@Drewsanna nice to meet you!!! Awww a dawggie lover, hope the ALC heals so he soon return by your side. In the meantime are you open to doing some exercises at home? I'm home so much due to my health, but still find ways my body can handle exercise. Stretching enough so my heart rate is up (LOL often just standing up does that currently!) to be beneficial. ENJOY the Rain Dancers team! We are also here if you'd like and have the time, but it's not mandatory.
@Kurtize as you know I FINALLY got some snow!!! Hoping Don's hand will be okay. I agree with Art Linkletter!! I know as a kid watching his show was so funny. Kids will say the darndest thing!

@Dianedoessmiles1 our kids can barely afford to live here; my stepdaughter and her wife had to buy a house together with her mom in order to buy, my youngest daughter moved to central Illinois two years ago and is now talking about moving up to the middle of Wisconsin where the majority of our family is at; my oldest daugher had moved to Arizona for a while as well, but that started to get just as expensive as Denver. We can't sell our house and buy another one in our same neighborhood or even the metro area unless we have another mortgage (which we don't want to do in retirement). We got lucky and bought our house about a year or so before the market blew up here.

Glad to hear you finally got your snow! You can keep it there! ;)

@Kurtize I know how Don feels about medications! I don't like taking painkillers either unless absolutely necessary. They always make me tired or out of it. I hope he feels better soon, but he did have a pretty painful surgery done.

@kurtize - Glad you DHs surgery went well and that he is getting relief with the meds.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - my healthy habit for winter is Rise & Shine - getting my exercise in early in the day. Also this includes a morning regimen of self care, wasing my face with cold water, fixing my hair and general hygiene. It's easy for me to slip down the to-do list and this HH helps. WOO HOO!
Sodium reduction is an awesome focus. Way back when I started SPARK that was our reason for tracking food. We were up to 10-20k MG. Daily range then. Now both papashop and I routinely stay under 2,000 MG per day. And we read every label b4 eating a product. HUGE improvements over the years.

    Nice snow pics.

@Ronnie_happy2ranch, If you a happy where you are that's wonderful. It really hard to sell and not have a place to go into though it can work out. I'm happy we got snow. Lol it'll be melted tomorrow
@Diamonds1202, happy to see you here. I used to journal all the time. We'll see if I keep it up! Possibly.
@Patti241, oh it'll melt for you soon enough.
@Gouldsgranite, Hi Janey! Love your AM routine! Waking up and shine!1. Oh yes, yes on sodium! You've done amazing!

    Good Morning VIP friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Monday and today is my long long work day. I am lucky though that I have Wednesday off. Saturday is my normal work day so Wednesday is off. Which is good because Joe sees the Kidney doctor again and also has a physical that day as well. Joe will be given a surgery date at this appointment as well. So he will be having that kidney stone blasted away.

@Kurtize - Glad Don is at least willing to take some meds when it is absolutely necessary. So far the house thing is moving slowly.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Thank you. I am needing this house to sell first. Not sure why it is taking so long. It is a cash sale. So no inspections or anything like that. Just a title check and then planning a date. I do have friends in my online groups but they all have lives so I feel bad for asking them for help. Besides they are just all about our age and just don't have the get up and go to be moving heavy furniture anymore.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

Tabatha_Cain hopefully work went well. WOOHOO on Weds off hopefully, they can blast the kidney stone. In 2016 I had to have a stent put in, and YO!! That waws horrible!! It was great though when it finally passed!! Many say (Female who have had kids) passing a kidney stone is much more painful. I say "Hey when you have a baby you get something cute and awwww sweet!!" Hopefully the sales will go well with no issues.
@Patti241, HI Patti, hey is your snow gone? Ours is about gone, with no more (not that an inch was really "snow" its barely a dusting)in site for a week. SIGH!! Maybe I need to move south!
@Gouldsgranite, because of YOU tonight I completed my Vision Wheel!! I'll post it later officially, but I am also going to add it in here. For those who may not seen the vision wheel its something as OALs we had talked about to help YOU with your progress!! It sure did help me with my goals and motivation!! WOOHOO TO MOTIVATION!!!

    Good Morning VIP Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Tuesday and I have one more day of work. I cannot wait to get this day over with. I have lots of things I want to get done tomorrow. We are going to be packing more. I think we are pretty much done with packing until we are actually ready to move and we can get our bed and stuff moved. I have thought about just living out of boxes for a while. That may be an option. Not sure yet though.

    @gouldsgranite - Thank you.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Thank you. I do hope the same go well.

@Tabatha_Cain, enjoy the day off!! Great job on being mostly packed!!! The boxes I need to unpack fast I mark them so I can easily tell them apart or put a sticker on the top of them. I always put enough plates, a pan, fry pan etc. together for 3 days , towels, bedding, clothes in case I can't unpack fast. I HATE going through boxes.
@Gouldsgranite like you i put a lot of thought into it. I am pleased with it. I am now also working on my vision board. TY TY TY!!!
