Still in F- territory. I think the only veggie I’m getting in today is snap beans and field peas to go with ham biscuits for dinner.

I even took kettuce and tomato off the meal plan because it just didn’t sounds appetizing in a pork bbq wrap.

Fruits are up, though, as I try to give up artificial sweeteners. Today will be day 8. Putting fruits in various things in lieu of processed sugars.

Tonight’s an experiment: ninja Creami ice cream with a serving of Greek yogurt, half a banana, some espresso balsamic, and some powdered cocoa. The mix didn’t taste especially good but the wierd thing with ice cream is, unlike cookie doughs (speaking as an expert πŸ˜‚) ice cream mix can be meh but the ice cream turns out great. Am crossing fingers.

I usually use sugar free pudding mix as my thickener, but that’s out now, and regular
Pudding mix is way high calorie. Might as well have commercial ice cream at that point.

Last night was banana and mango, with whipped cream. It was delish. I think I’m going to attempt a banana pudding ice cream soon. Seems like all I need is some vanilla bean paste. And maybe half or quarter graham cracker to mix in.

omg ... your things sounds SO delicious, Springer. Good for you on Day 8 of ditching artificial sweeteners ✨.

Cold still up here as well, single digits lows, that should continue until Saturday, when it warms all the way up to the teens, F (for lows). πŸ₯Ά. Great week for soups! 🍲

Wednesday checkin! Day 3 Prolon 5-day FMD today. I peed out 2.2 lbs yesterday, and another 1 lb the day before πŸ˜‚. One thing I love about Prolon is, usually on Day 3 my arthritic/injured knee is so much looser! Not as painful, and I can move so much easier. I asked my Sports Med doc if fasting had a beneficial effect on arthritis. He said he hadn't heard anything to that effect, but there was evidence that a plant-based diet had beneficial effects on arthritis. I asked him if it was the extra fiber, or the lack of meat, he said they didn't know, but it was an interesting question. Another woman that did Rounds 1-4 (last May-Aug) at the same time as me, in the FaceBook FASTination Group, did say she had experienced the same phenomenon - she said her Baker's Cyst completely disappeared during her fasts 😍.
