I've tried every trick I can think of, but the bottom line is I don't like water and have to force myself to drink it, especially in the winter. I am not doing well with this Healthy Habit! Someone, please help me!

What about a fruit tea in water or adding some low calorie fruit juice to it.0 -
@Ceriusly1 - Ceri - I've been drinking water as my main beverage forever it seems and here are some things that I do - I start my morning with a tall 24 oz glass of warm water with a few squirts of bottled lemon juice. I also have 32 oz water bottle that I fill up before I begin my workout. I don't drink too much of it while working out, but I continue to sip on it throughout the rest of the day. Usually I'm finished with it by mid to late afternoon, and I go back to my 24 oz glass (it's plastic and has a lid). I like my water a bit warm, so I usually pop it in the microwave for a minute or so to take the chill off. That usually gets me through the rest of the day.
Have you tried an infuser water bottle? My husband bought one for me a few years ago (16oz) and it has a section at the bottom that comes off and will hold fruit or cucumber slices, or mint - whatever you might like to slightly flavour your water. My large water bottle also has prompts for drinking every hour which is something else that might help.
I think it really depends as well on the quality of the water. We have a water cooler so our water is always good, but when I travel. I have to take a large jug of water and it's sometimes more challenging to drink as much water as usual.1 -

OH Ceri, when I first joined the 5% Challenge I was a Pepsi drinker!! Six to eight cans a day. I DID not want to get away from Pepsi, at first I went down to diet Pepsi. After that I went down to Sierra Mist than to flavored Sparkling water (it helps me to eat, and swallow pills if I have something bubbly all of that goes down easier.
Once down to Sparkling water, it was not to hard to start to drink water, the others above have given awesome hints. Weirdly now it turns out when I am thirsty only water helps. That was an eye opener!!0 -
Iced (or hot) tea? You might see if you taste the difference in Spring water over tap or purified----although I only use it when I can't fill my bottle, Ice Mountain is GOOD! Not approved by dental people, lol, but do you like to chew or suck ice---it is just frozen h20 afterall! Lots of 'health' straws out there to add to bottles of water, maybe you could find one you favor that actually is healthy! I drink coffee, lots, in AM, and almost exclusively water otherwise, so I'm not too helpful.1

I know the mainstream advice is to drink plain water but I don't think that suggestion is science-based. At least, the studies I've read showed that many other liquids hydrate better than water, which is why electrolyte drinks are a thing. I would suggest reviewing some of the articles about which liquids hydrate the best and see if you can find something that works better for you than plain water. Don't forget to factor in the calorie count in making that decision!1
