New Members Check-in Goals

Hi everyone, for me the focus is on health not just weight. Only recently realised that the ‘tree trunk’ legs that all the female members of my family have (regardless of their size) is infact lipodema, which is genetic. For me, this has been exacerbated by menopause and hormone changes. I’ve done Atkins Diet before and it worked, so I know I can easily stick with Keto, but also need to focus on anti inflammatory foods as well to reduce inflammation. I started 2 weeks ago and have lost 6.5 pounds already, but I have a long way to go.

Hey there Susan, welcome to our group and thanks for introducing yourself and your weight loss journey so far. You're doing so well already and it's good that you're focusing on anti inflammatory foods. This keto plan is packed with them and I've found that I lost quite a bit of water weight too initially 😊. Courgettes and cucumbers are magic for that which is why the Courgette and Prawn soup is one of my favourites (apart from being tasty too).
You might feel like you have s long way to go but you've started and that in itself is a massive achievement.
