    @trooworld Wow, 4 weeks in the green. I need a prize! :D I can’t wait to see a pic of the skeleton pug! I hope you hear back from the coordinator soon. I don’t like Tofu, but I LOVE anything Bang Bang and will have to look for the G Hughes Bang Bang sauce.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I’ve heard good things can happen with the Daniel Fast. I hope you achieve weight loss and, more importantly, spiritual growth from doing the fast. :)

    @bobboyardee Congrats on your great weight loss. Now, just rinse and repeat what you did for this week. :)

    @AprilRaineyBattle Bummer about your laptop. I tried 21-Day Fix the other day and just couldn’t get into it. I’m going back to Dig Deeper and will see if I can get some much-needed results. It does sound like you should stay away from soy products. :/

    Good morning! I did see all my birthday wishes on February's thread and want to thank you all for being so sweet! <3 Joe has a doctor's appointment today, and then we have to run several errands. Joe wants to take me to Cracker Barrel for lunch and buy me something for my birthday. He can't handle the fact that I didn't get a present. I love him so much! <3 We will also celebrate my birthday tonight with my sister. We didn't want to wreck our weigh-ins, so we saved it for today, which, being Fat Tuesday, is perfect. We are planning pizza, beers, and dessert while watching The Floor (a great game show, by the way!). Then tomorrow, I will start Lent and do another 40-Day of no sugar/snacking/alcohol. I did so well with my first 40-day challenge because I did it for spiritual reasons, and this time is no different. I have a book called The 40-Day Feast that will accompany my Bible time. And, of course, I'm hoping to drop a good amount of weight and buy something cute to wear for Easter as a reward. :)

    @DrewsAnna How's Chipper doing with the pain meds? I hope the Wegovy increase goes well.

    @AnAbsoluteDiva Congrats on the loss!

    @AprilRaineyBattle That's a great NSV! Congrats on your results.

    @Cornanda The recipe I based it on had homemade Yum Yum sauce but it wasn't sugar-free and was kind of unhealthy.

    @TeresaW2024 Congrats on the loss! You do! LOL I will post the pic below. I hope you can find the Bang Bang sauce, I found it at Walmart. Aww, Joe is so sweet! <3 LOL Fat Tuesday, perfect. And what a way to celebrate your birthday/Fat Tuesday, I think it is perfect! That sounds like a good reward.

    Hi all. I still haven't received a response from the coordinator of the art show, which irritates me. She was so excited to meet me and work with me and yet no response. I made a piece specifically for this show (see below), so if I don't get in, I'm going to be really annoyed. These art show people can be flakey so I shouldn't be surprised. Yesterday was busy at work. I ended up helping a patron at the counter for 3 hours, not eating or drinking anything the whole time. That was a bad idea: I felt a little nauseated and a bit dizzy/off and I can't help but think it was because of that. Also, I think I'm getting a migraine.

    Thank you, @trooworld. Finally figured it out. The problem was with my macros - switched everything around and dropped the two pounds. I also started weighing myself daily. It's the only way I can tell if what I'm doing is working and if I'm trending in the right direction.

    Hi Slimpossibles!

    I have terrible insomnia, as some of you may remember from some of my other posts. Well, my doctor had me trying melatonin, for 3 months, to see if it would make any difference in my sleep. It didn't. He told me that if the melatonin didn't work, the next thing he wants me to try is to "reset" my sleep pattern. The idea is to compress my sleep time: staying up later than normal, and only allowing 5 hours between bedtime and my wake up time. The theory is that by allowing my body only 5 hours, I will sleep more deeply and more soundly during the limited hours that I allow myself for sleeping. After about a month of the compressed sleep time, I'm to very gradually back up my bedtime until eventually I'm getting 7-9 hours again, only presumably still sleeping soundly for the whole time. I haven't started trying it yet. It's a pretty scary undertaking. I usually sleep best during the early part of the night. My fear is that if I push through my sleepiness in the early part of the night, I'll end up awake and not get any sleep AT ALL. Hopefully this will work. I might start trying it when we do the clock change on Sunday. Seems like a good day to start.

    There's still a pretty thick snow pack on the ground, but I've decided to start my spring cleaning. Took down the curtains in the sunroom, washed and ironed them, and hung them back up. Took all the pictures off the walls, wiped the walls, dusted the pictures, and hung the pictures back up. I'll take it a little at a time until the whole house is done.

    The technician came and worked on my Trike on Sunday, he could not get it to work after swapping out all new components for most of the parts, so they took it to the shop. I hope it gets fixed soon I am missing it.
    I've been raking leaves and cleaning up the yard, I will need to spray the weeds this weekend there is going to be a lot this year.
    Daylight savings time is coming soon I hope they make it so we don't have to do that anymore.

    WEIGH IN UPDATE

    REMINDER TO WEIGH IN TOMORROW TO @lisalisa123

    Anyone know how to NOT have double spacing when you hit enter? I was hoping the update wouldn't be a pain but just got booted back to the main group and lost my post. For MFP that's not too bad right? The photo and attachments are cool I like that!

    Had a girl's night out last night and have class in a little bit tonight. Highlight of the day was going to an alpaca farm and getting lots of poop for my garden! Gotta run I'll catch up more tomorrow, have a great Wednesday!

    @TeresaW2024 - Yes, you do need a prize!

    @trooworld - Love the pug! She better let you in the show! I wasn't talking about the bang bang sauce, I think that last month's intro said you had 8,000 some recipes, now you have over 9,000!

    @AnAbsoluteDiva - Hooray for trending in the right direction!

    @micaroo4 - My husband has tried the compressed sleep thing and it did help. I wish you the best. I know it's scary. And it feels really bad when you are tired all the time.

    @FushiaKat - I hope your trike will be fixed soon.

    @Katmary71 - I cannot figure out how to get rid of the double spacing. If anyone figures it out, please share. Wow- great tool MFP! Maybe there are other good things about it we don't know yet. The joy of your day is alpaca poop? That means you really love plants!

    Hi, I'm Lisa, I live in Florida with my DH of 30+ years and my adult DD. DS moved out 6 months ago and lives near by. We have a crazy little dog named Gus. I've been fighting with my weight since my early 20s and now that I'm older, the weight is winning. I recently started Mayo Clinic diet. I will update you on my first week after I weigh in on Friday. For exercise, I like to walk, strength train and do step aerobics. For hobbies, I like to read, and start crochet projects, but not finish them.

    We made it to Wednesday! Halfway to the weekend!

    PS- OK, the emojis are better…..😜 but currently, my picture of Gus is an attachment- Boo!

    @AnAbsoluteDiva that's great you figured it out. Congrats on the loss!

    @micaroo4 I hope the sleep experiment works for you and you get some sleep.

    @FushiaKat That's too bad about your Trike. I hope you get it back soon. I hate Daylight Savings Time. I hope they get rid of it, too!

    @Katmary71 I have no clue lol. I hope we can get it figured out! How do you tag someone? All I can figure out is how to bold the text. That's cool you went to an alpaca farm!

    @Cornanda Thank you! Oh, hahaha, yes, I can't stop gathering recipes lol. That's a cute pic of Gus. :)

    Hi all. I still feel like I'm getting a migraine as I have a slight headache but I do feel better as far as the nausea goes. Traffic was annoying last night: it took 1 hr 45 mins to get home. It's no wonder that when I get home, I don't want to do anything! I did make myself dinner: Asian Noodle Salad with added chicken breast. It was good and pretty easy/quick to make.

    Hi 👋

    Last night was fun. I took Chris to dinner at his favorite Mexican restaurant. They bought him 2 birthday drinks and sang happy birthday. He had a great time.

    After dinner, we went to his favorite watering hole, his best friend was celebrating his retirement and the two had a really good. When all of his friends left, I made him leave and come home. He pouted a bit and then passed out 😅😅 I haven't drank since October, so I had 2 very light drinks with a little Malibu rum. That was good for me. Oh, I made homemade Lava cakes, he passed out after that.

    I'm glad I decided to skip my weigh in, I was up quite a bit. Tonight, I'm starting the Wegovy increase after dinner. I'm nervous because of the side effects that might come with it. Wish me luck .

    @trooworld Oh shoot I'm just puttingthe “at” but I don't think it's working. I was excited to share Ifigured out the bold but see you did too! I hope that migraine goesaway asap. That drive gives me a headache just thinking about it!Dinner sounds amazing I'm glad you were able to have somethinghealthy. Did you ever hear back from the art coordinator? I hope so!

    @DrewsAnna Aw Chris looks very happy inthis photo Happy birthday to him! It looks like the place I just wentto for the girl's night which is a local delicious Mexican restaurant(that has awesome raspberry margaritas). Your night sounds like alot of fun with some delicous drinks and food. I hope the Wegovyincrease doen't cause any issues.

    @FushiaKat That's a bummer about yourbike I hope it's back soon. Raking the leaves will keep you in shapewhile waiting for your bike to come back. I wish daylight savingsjust stayed why did we even vote on it?

    @micaroo4 The sleep change soundschallenging I hope you're not going to be too exhausted while doingit. You sound very busy great job on all the spring cleaning!

    Hi team! It's raining and I wasn't able to sleep last night, looking forward to getting some rest tonight! Ibraved Costco to get my mom a blender plus got some other items likea big thing of honey to make more fermented garlic honey to givepeople. Spent some time organizing my seeds (I was looking foranother seed box yesterday and still kind of want one but reallyshould downsize instead). Tomorrow's the greenhouse, I'm taking thefarm manager one of the mushroom kits I made so she can get in ongrowing them too. She was saying her husband's been down and not intogardening at all and she's hoping it will excite him. Have a greatThursday!

    @trooworld - that is a long drive. Yuck! Good for you making a healthy meal after all that!

    @DrewsAnna - Happy Birthday to Chris- sounds like a fun night. Good luck with the Wegovy increase.

    @Katmary71 - Sounds like a successful trip to Costco! Hope you got some sleep and if anyone could get a person excited about gardening, it would be you.

    @trooworld Love the art!!🤩 I hope your migraine is better today.

    @micaroo4 I hope you can figure out your sleep. I also have issues with middle of the night waking up and not being able to fall back to sleep. It makes for a long next day. 😴 I started my Spring cleaning as well!

    @DrewsAnna what fun you all had celebrating Chris’s birthday. Love the sombrero!  🙂

    @Katmary71 You made me smile thinking of how you should downsize, yet you still want another seed box. Spoken like a woman with a growing problem. 🤣And good for you for spreading the mushroom fever!

    Good morning! Whoa, look at all our new emojis! 😍 My evening of birthday celebration with my sister was fun, but yesterday's recovery was not! I didn’t drink that much, but my body acted like I did. I had lots of cravings yesterday, but since it was day one of Lent, I didn’t give in. I went to bed last night at 8:30 and slept great. I will start a weightlifting program called Dig Deeper today and see if I can get back into lifting. I’m just not looking forward to the amount of soreness I will feel. But no pain, no gain, right? 😎 💪

    @DrewsAnna Happy birthday to Chris! That looks like a good time. Good luck with the Wegovy increase.

    @Katmary71 Yeah I don't know how to tag people anymore lol. Thanks, it is mostly gone. I hate that drive! I haven't heard back from the art coordinator but I am going to show up at the opening of the current show (I am entering the next show) and talk to her. Maybe she doesn't realize she forgot to send me the contract. I hope you get some rest today/tonight.

    @Cornanda How are you tagging people? LOL Thank you!

    @TeresaW2024 Thank you! It is better. I'm glad you had fun. Good job not giving in. Go get 'em!

    Hi all. I see my surgeon this afternoon. It is supposed to rain today so I will have to leave early and deal with traffic. I'm going to wear as lightweight clothes as possible because I know they will weigh me lol.

    Hi 👋

    I did the injection last night, I think around 7:30-8:00. I fell asleep while I was watching tv. I woke up and went to bed. When I first woke up today I felt fine, but now I'm feeling nauseous.

    I don't like this double spacing. Does anybody know how to change that on the phone?

    Yesterday, I was pacing back & forth while I was talking to my sister. I looked inside my garden window and noticed my orchids are have buds. I'm so happy, I've killed so many of them, it feels so good to have some rebloom.

    @Cornanda Thank you!

    @TeresaW2024 Haha thank you! Oh no I'm sorry to hear how your body reacted. Way to go on not giving in during lent you got this! It's crazy how bad alcohol can affect us.So glad you got a good night's sleep. I hope Dig Deeper helps you get back into lifting.

    @trooworld I don't know how to tag people anymore either but it looks like @Cornanda knows unless she just turned the names blue? Cutting and pasting from the document program I'm using put about 10 spaces in between each post then took out spaces in between words which is ridiculous. I didn't notice smashed words until now but I'll see if I can figure a way around it. Good luck with your surgeon appointment I'm sure he'll be happy withyour progress!

    @DrewsAnna Yay on orchid buds congratulations! I'm good at killing them too my green thumb isn't too green inside. I'm sorry to hear about the nauseousness I hope it's improved. Double spacing on the phone I have no clue.

    Hi team! Greenhouse went good, we started basil and lettuce today then I rescued double cell plants if there were empty cells in the trays. Stopped by the farm for a bit then spent some time spreading the alpaca poop. I went to a RosemaryGladstar zoom where she was talking about herbal medicine making and it was almost three hours of awesome tips! I wish I could go to her school but can't afford it, I'm glad she shared so much today though.Have a great Friday.

    @Katmary71 - to tag people, and have them get the notification, you have to select the full name from the drop down list and click on it. If you type it, even if spelled correctly, it won't be a tag.

    @davors19 Congrats on the loss!

    @Cornanda Woo hoo!

    Hi all. The surgeon's appt went well, he is pleased with my progress but wants me to step up the exercise. He said the most weight loss happens within the first 6 months. I need to figure out how to fit in more exercise. I'll figure it out. I am volunteering with an organization that rescues senior dogs today. My friend and I are going to take a couple of the dogs out on an adventure: we are going to a coffee shop, a pet store, and a park with the dogs. It should be fun. I lost 2 lbs this week for a total of 40.8 lbs.

    @Katmary71 I had never heard of Rosemary Gladstar, so I looked at her website. She has a lot of books! Hmm, alpaca poop. Is it better than other poop?  😃

    @Cornanda, I agree that the double spacing is annoying! I use a Google Doc to reply and then paste it into the group. I also don’t like that the emoji codes don’t work because I had most of them memorized.  🙄

    @trooworld Congratulations on losing 40 lbs! That is awesome! 🤩🎉Does your surgeon want you to do specific exercises? What about resistance training? Did you ever decide on a rebounder? It is so sweet that you will take some senior dogs for an outing. I watch these videos of dog rescues, and some of them are heartbreaking as the dogs learn to trust their new owner.

    Good morning! Not much is happening today other than a workout and then trying to create an Easter graphic for the church. I found this chef, Kevin Ashton, on TikTok who cooks for a sorority, and I’ve been inspired! Yesterday, for dinner, I made double-patty smash burgers on Brioche buns. Joe declared that I must only make them like this from now on.😄 I’m making crispy chicken tenders and mashed potato bowls with country gravy, bacon, and shredded cheese tonight. I can’t wait to see what he thinks of that!

    I’m hopping back in…

    @TeresaW2024 – Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you’ve fully recovered from your celebration. I have to ask a question that is going to sound rude. It’s not meant to be rude at all. The double patty smash burgers and country bowls both sound extremely high in calories and fat. Are you doing OMAD? I’m just concerned. I want all of us to be successful.

    @DrewsAnna – Looks like Chris’ Birthday was a super fun one! Good luck with the injection. And yay for the budding orchids – they are gonna be gorgeous! Can’t wait to see pictures of them.

    @trooworld - That sucks that the art coordinator is flaky. I hope you’re able to get it all worked out and can participate. I’m surprised that all your walking hasn’t been good enough for the surgeon. Seems like you do a LOT of it. So excited for you to have already lost 40 pounds!!!

    @Cornanda – Awesome loss!!!

    Hey, all! Day 3 of The Daniel Fast for Lent and I am feeling good. A little tired as my body adjusts to less caffeine, but good. The fast calls for zero caffeine and to only drink water. I’m still drinking my tea. I don’t feel God convicting me to give it up. I’m posting my entire day’s food pictures just once on IG instead of a separate post for each meal. Loving all the freshness I’m seeing! I went to Wally World last night and only spent $60. My goal was $50, so I call that a win! I basically stuck to my list. Only additions were 100% olive oil spray (to spritz on popcorn) and frozen blueberries (under $3 for a pound!). I cooked a pound of my Rancho Gordo Vaquero beans and a pound of brown rice. Gonna prep veggies tonight. Ready for mix-n-matching! I am praying that this mental shift I’m feeling continues. I have been enjoying my devotional time immensely.

    Hi-Fives to everyone seeing losses and Tight Hugs to everyone struggling.

    2025 is MY year!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I love your enthusiasm and you're right… God will forgive the tea. You are the second person this week to talk about frozen berries - I didn't even know that was a thing. I always buy fresh and freeze it myself but found that my grocery store sells the frozen berries for LESS than the fresh and there are no sugars or crazy additives added. Ingredient list was one item: blueberry. Found raspberries, blackberries, strawberries - a total game changer for me. I ration fruit out into plastic containers and freeze them to use in my protein shakes. They are the ice cubes which make for a better shake as the final product isn't so watered down.

    I'm curious about the brown rice. I can't stand the stuff. My husband makes it and I can't eat it. I'm Latina so you know rice is our thing but I want to transition to brown rice. I read a blogger say that she soaks the rice overnight and cooks it in the water it was soaking in which gives her the texture I seek. I haven't tried it yet but will today, and like you, I plan to make a pound of this stuff so that I can freeze it in individual containers. I do plan to use low-sodium chicken broth instead of water but want to know how you cook the rice when you make it.

    Enjoy your day; keep up the positivity! It's contagious!!!
