    Hi 👋

    Hubby & I ate the last 2 Lava cakes last night and a little while later, my stomach started feeling like a rock was in it. So, I went to bed. I really wish I could turn off those sweet cravings, the repercussions just don't feel good. I have been eating more veggies lately, so I feel good about that. I need to get more exercise though, I stayed busy yesterday, but since I was focused in one area, I didn't get very many steps. Today, is a brand new day though…

    On Tuesday HJM decided to give me a brand-new Trike, they could not fix the old one. I'm planning on taking a ride after lunch to test it out it's been raining so I could not go before today. I did ride it down to take out the trash and it worked just fine, but I need to take it on a longer ride to make sure everything is working all of the gears, and electric motor with power assist.

    Love the rain but hate the weeds that will be growing. It looks like grass is growing all around us in the fields and people's yards. Hmm, maybe I can use my weed sprayer to spray spider killer around the house, we have so many spider webs.

    Congrats @TeresaW2024 on losing 40lbs that is amazing.

    Good morning Slimpossibles!

    My sleep experiment is taking a toll on me. So far, not giving any positive results. I should have got my doctor's personal phone number, so I could call him in the middle of the night when I'm not sleeping! He told me to give it a month. It's only been 3 nights. My friend Sara says the whole idea is counterintuitive. Rich says I should quit. But I want to give it a fair try, because, what if it works? Then it's totally worth it. The doctor said the first two weeks are the hardest. So I've got to get through two weeks and see how I feel. I'm keeping a sleep journal. Most important to me is sleep quality. Right now, my sleep quality is as poor as it was before I started, but now I'm getting fewer hours. Less total sleep is making my days very hard. I'm grateful for caffeine (but none after noon).

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Thank you! You could never be rude, and I appreciate your concern! 😘I’m not doing OMAD, but it's close. I have a protein shake at around 11:00 a.m. and nothing else until I eat dinner at 5 p.m. Those two meals were high in calories, but I’m controlling my portion size and learning to stop when I feel full. Fortunately, I don’t cook like that every day! I’m glad you are doing so well on the Daniel Fast. I’m also really enjoying my devotional time.  🙂

    @FushiaKat It's great that you got a new Trike. I hope this one doesn’t give you any issues. Our fearless leader, Trooworld, lost 40 lbs. My day will be here soon!  😉

    Good morning! We got a text last night that Joe’s youngest son and family are coming to visit in June. We are excited, and now I have even more motivation to work on my weight loss. My body is sore from getting back to weight-lifting, but I like it. Today is leg day! I also need to do a Walmart order and some more blueberries! 😀

    @TeresaW2024 Thank you! He doesn't want me to do specific exercises, just 30 mins of exercise 3-5 days a week. He also wants me to add in a day of resistance training. I am not getting a rebounder, I just don't have the room for it and I'm not sure I'd use it so I don't want to get it. I have all the equipment I need, I just need to use it! My problem is that Mon-Thurs, I have that darned commute that can be a nightmare. I am going to try to do something on my work-from-home Fridays as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Yeah there are a lot of wonderful senior dogs that end up in shelters, many of them end up euthanized because nobody comes to adopt them, it's so sad! This organization, they will not get euthanized! LOL Joe loved that burger, didn't he? That's so cute. That sounds soooo good! That's good that Joe's son and his family are coming. That is a good reason to work on weight loss! How is your niece enjoying the house?

    @vegan4lyfe2012 It does! I messaged her again last night asking if she needed my email to send the contract and she didn't respond so I'm done. I will go to the opening of the current show tomorrow but I will not ask her. There are plenty of places to participate in shows at here, I don't need the headache nor will I beg. The surgeon wants 30 mins 3-5 times a week + a day of strength training. I don't want to tell him why this is hard for me (Mon-Thurs, I get home at anywhere from 5:30-6 pm then have to make dinner then eat then I go to bed at 7 pm, no time! No time in the morning either) because he's just going to see it as an excuse. He's not going to understand. I'll try to fit it in on Fridays (my work-from-home days) and the weekends. :( I'm glad the fast is going well. I'm enjoying your food posts! That's good you stuck to your list. I love that you prep your food on the weekends. I need to be inspired by you!

    @FushiaKat That's great that they gave you a brand-new Trike.

    @gemwolf110 Congrats on the loss!

    ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What is your favorite way to spend the weekend?
    My favorite way to spend the weekend is the way I spend most weekends: going to the coffee shop with my husband and either reading or making artwork while people-watching. We go to several coffee shops but my favorite has really good people watching and we can sit inside or outside.

    Hi all. I had fun volunteering yesterday. I took a 12-year old poodle named "Millie" on an adventure. She ended up in rescue because her owner died. :( I will include a pic of me with Millie and "Camper" who is my friend's favorite dog in the rescue right now. We were at the coffee shop in this picture. We took them to a pet store and I bought Millie treats which she enjoyed. After my volunteer duty, my husband and I went to a coffee shop where I drank coffee and made a new piece of art. It's a bird painting.

    ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What is your favorite way to spend the weekend?

    That depends, this is hard to answer. I guess my favorite thing is to hang out with my kids and the grands.

    @trooworld I am in love with your fur babes, especially the pittie....

    Hi 👋, I'm feel good, I've already eaten my veggies and one of my orchids has a bloom. 😀🫠🌸. I went to Costco yesterday and they had pre-planted bulb pots. So, I bought one, I can't put it outside yet though, we are still having some very low temps over night here.

    I don't know what my plan is, but I'm sure there's one in there some where.

    Oh, and I made a really pretty omelet for breakfast today 😃

    Test Test I’m testing to see if the update different using a phone instead of a pc. So far I’m not seeing much of a difference. Now to tag someone, @Katmary71 . Worked, I never could do the other fancy stuff like italics, bold letters or line through. Time for coffee!

    @micaroo4, I’m sorry your sleep experiment is so hard for you. I was staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m., wide awake, and finally got up and took another Relaxium, which helped enough to give me another 3 hours. Hang in there, and for your sake, I hope your doctor is right about his plan. 😴

    @trooworld You should look up some office chair exercises! You can also do five squats every time you go to the bathroom. But your commute is brutal, so you just have to do what you can. My niece is loving her house! They have been very busy painting and hanging things this week. We are waiting for my contractor friend to come build a wall in the garage so they can turn it into a room for her dad. She is dying to get her baby out of her room so he will stay asleep and let her have some time alone. Those doggies are so sweet!  😍

    @DrewsAnna I love Orchids! I used to have a nice collection but they got totally infested with gnats and had to go! That omelet is pretty and looks very tasty!  😋

    Good morning and happy Daylights Savings Time! Those government people say they will do something every year, and they NEVER do!! I don’t care if the country is split. Pick a time and go with it!!😡 OK, rant over. We had a good day yesterday. Two of our dear church friends came over for lunch and changed our air conditioner filter in the attic. We, of course, spent most of the time talking about church stuff. He is our head deacon, and she is the head of finance, so we have many thoughts on what our new pastor is attempting with this revitalization program. We agreed to be cheerleaders and take a wait-and-see approach. We watched the latest season opener of 911, and it was intense! I don’t know how you horror-loving people handle the stress. 😬 Have a good day!

    ICE BREAKER QUESTION: What is your favorite way to spend the weekend?

    I want to be as lazy as possible, but Saturdays are usually spent deep-cleaning, and Sundays are spent at church. However, I do manage to find some lazy puzzle time most weekends. 🙂

    @DrewsAnna Oh, those are not mine, I was volunteering for the day with a rescue and those are dogs up for adoption that we took out on an adventure. But they are cute, aren't they?

    @bethanie0825 Congrats on the loss!

    @TeresaW2024 That's a good idea, thanks! I'm glad your niece is loving the house. Those doggies ARE sweet! I hate DST!!! Booooo!!! I'm glad you had a good day.

    Hi all. I went for a walk in my favorite neighborhood yesterday and met my husband for coffee. Then we went to see one of his coworker's daughter in a musical, Hadestown. It was fun. I ended up getting 10,492 steps. No knee pain, so that's good. This morning, I was supposed to go for a walk with a friend at a lake but she had to cancel. I'll still go for the walk by myself but maybe at a different location. And now, I can go earlier so that works out.
