Hi all - new member, looking for an accountability / support partner(s)

Hi guys - Dale here. 62, retired, live in Pacifica CA, just south of San Francisco. I'm looking to connect with one or more guys interested in accountability partnership / support while losing weight / improving fitness. I'm pretty fit - now 214 pounds, 5' 11", lift/run/bike/golf 6+ days per week. I dropped 50 pounds since retiring three years ago, but put 8 back on - and I want to drop 20-30 to get to 196 or maybe 186. Years ago I used MFP and had some success because I had someone I checked in with regularly - I encouraged them, I was a bit responsible to them, it helped. Looking for mutual support again. I really want to drop to under 200 by my birthday, July 4. So 15 pounds in 3 months. Reasonable. I will keep up my fitness routine and keep building strength and cardio fitness. So, if you are looking to lose 20-40 pounds, committed to regular workouts to get/improve fitness, and keen on having an accountability partner to check in with, cheer you on, and you reciprocate, send me a message. Vision: at the end of each month we're both celebrating dropping 5+ pounds and by June 30 we each attain an important personal goal. What do you think?

Brian, here. 68 years old <sigh> LOL. Past 5 years I've been surviving rural Canton, (NorthCentral) PA… previously lived my entire life in the metro-NYC area, including 20 or so years in Manhattan. Weight has always been a constant struggle my entire life, though I seemed to manage staying in the 180 to 245 pound range when I was 5'10". (I've now shrunk down to 5'7" and not happy!). Broke my left hip in 2017 and got a lousy Medicaid hip repair, now walk with decided limp using a rollator. In 2018 I was diagnosed (finally!) with MS, which is why my left leg gave out from under me for no reason at all. Anyways… because I could no longer walk easily, my weight grew to a whopping 286.2 by 5/31/24. There and then I decided I wasn't looking forward to an early death, and started health and wellness program. Basically I cut out all processed foods, all bakery stuff, only have sugar in my morning coffee, eat clean (lots of good protein and green veggies, 0-5 calorie flavored water, herbal and green tea. Lots of vitamins and doctor-recommended supplements. I cycle 2-hours every day (indoors) for cardio. All of the above combined has gotten me down to 215.6 pounds as of today, 5/5/25 (70 pounds lost to date).
I have a series of goals: 200 lbs, then 180 lbs, then 160ish pounds. So IWhen I get out of the "Obese Class I", I want to concentrate more on weight-training and less on cardio. (Yes, both are important, I know.) So, I have about 60 more pounds to lose.
I'm also looking for an accountability partner, if you're still interested and available!🙂
